ITunes is not sorting correct
I have downloaded a mix of 2cd's of Pacha Summer Anthems(Mixed by Chuckie & Mischa Daniels).
Both cd's are mixes, when I upload these cd's to iTunes I cannot let iTunes sort them correctly. It doesn't sort by track, so the mix is not played correctly.
When I upload the cd's to my iPod, the sorting is oke.
Anyone a idea how to solve this?

First try and activate the 'album' column with the arrow pointing up:

You can also try and edit the Sorting options in:
select all songs of album > Right-click > Get Info > Sorting

TV shows from iTunes are not sorted correctly on iPod
I bought episodes of a TV show from the iTunes store and all of a sudden nothing is sorted correctly anymore. They're completely fine on iTunes but on my iPod Classic (it's the newest one, 160 GB) it just doesn't seem to want to work. I've tried restoring it a few times but so far, no change. And I've checked all the tags and everything so it shouldn't be wrong but I'm thinking the issue is with my iPod, not iTunes.
I had the same issue with this. what I did to fix it was select the shows in the TV playlist, then apple - i to get info, click on the video tab, select "TV Show" from the "video kind:" pull down menu.
Resync the touch. You should see the files in the video playlist on the Touch. I'm not sure why they let you sync tv shows if they don't appear on the Touch. In any case, the above work around should work for you.

Synced photos from iTunes not sorted correctly
I have around 300 pics that I took with my iphone that I moved to a local folder on PC.
I want to put those pics back on the iphone to use in a timelapse video.
I enabled Photo sync on itunes and chose that folder, and synced.
All synced OK, but these pics are not sorted correctly on the iphone.
The file names on the PC are exactly as iphone assigned them when taken, and according to date taken.
It is very important that they are sorted in ascending file name; any ideas how I can correct the sorting?
Thanks.For those in this discussion concerned with the "Sort" order, the criteria is in the "metadata" date that changes when you adjust the photos.
The directions below apply to Lightroom
To keep the order you created you must make an adjustment to "ALL" photos at the same time such as increasing the contrast by (1) point.
First select and change the contrast in the first photo in your collection, then select the remaining photos, click "Sync" The "Metatdata" date will change on all photos selected and will then import in the prper order.
I should mention that I have renamed all photos so they have a name that is sequential but I don't know if that matters -
All of a sudden my iTunes stopped working, and I get the following error messages:
1. the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem
and
2. iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126).
Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.
ThanksClick here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I received message iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (windows error 127).
Now I can't open iTunes and can't find previous version to reinstall . This is on my old computer with Windows XP.

have had itunes for several yrs attempted to download newest version but getting message that itunes is not downloaded correctly and new version will not download
well nobody bothered to give me a hint on what to do, maybe because the problems with the new version of iTunes are really a lot, there is an enormous amount of people out there that have all sort of different problems including mine so I have decided to return to the previous version which works fine and wait untill the apple people come up with a decent product ....

Smart playlist not sorted correctly on ipod
I have a smart playlist in my iTunes 10.0, which contains all podcasts (with play count 0), sorted by release date.
Unfortunately, this playlist is NOT sorted correctly on my ipod (nano, 5th generation). After syncing with itunes, the ipod playlist has some apparently random order (not by release date, not even by name, artist or anything, it really seems random).
It's strange that, if I click on my ipod under "DEVICES" in itunes and click the playlist there, the correct order is shown (by release date). But again, on the ipod it is actually not sorted.

No mater what I do now they only show up on my iPhone in date added order newest to oldest and I am unable to re-order them. I have a number of other playlists that work fine it is just this one smart playlist that is acting up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently moved my itunes to a new computer. The audible stuff doesn't automatically come up because its not purchased from the itunes store. So I opened the files with itunes on my new computer. It said that I had to authorise my audible account on this computer which I did, but then itunes came up with the following:
'Could not authorise this computer because iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.'
So I uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes and it still didn't work, I then did it again and it STILL DIDN'T WORK.
I have absolutely no idea what to do now, so if anyone has any advice it would greatly appreciated.When uninstalling iTunes on your windows computer, there is a specific way it must be done in order to completely uninstall all components of the software. Ensure you follow the article for your correct OS.

I'm getting a n error message when I try to open Itunes. Itunes was not install correctly. Please reinstall itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114) This happened after I unsuccesfully tried to install an update. I have had itunes on this computer for three years. OK, spent about 25 frustrating hours so far this weekend doing everything recommended on numerous threads here -- uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and all Apple items. Help?
I am using Windows Vista home premium. After the last iTunes update to 12, it suddenly would not work. I followed, to a T, all instructions to uninstall all Apples software, in the correct order, reboot, download the latest iTunes, run as administrator, plug in the iPhone 5S, let the driver install, and then finish.
Along the way, I received the error that "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." I am the administrator and have privileges. (I previously followed instructions from anther thread to change the read-only privileges for Apple folders, but to no avail. I also deleted every file with the word Apple in it after I uninstalled everything.) I did a retry and then an ignore during installation of the AMD error, which I have received 10 times.
The other error I keep getting is: "iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7." I have done that 20 times.
Other frequent error: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 998)."
I followed other threads suggestions to install Windows .NET versions 3.5 and 4.0. No help. I also looked for various specific Apple files in various folders for DLLs, etc. Not present. I have rebooted 50 times and tried different users on my home account as well. Nothing.
I also followed instructions to Manage my computer under "services." Under Apple Mobile Device, the setting is for "automatic." When I try to get it to "start," the error I receive is "Windows could not start the Apple Mobile Device on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." (I followed previous thread instructions to use the CMD prompt to stop it. That caused problems because the status was then "stopped," but I was able to restart it later once I figured that out -- but with the 1053 error again.)
I think I've tried every suggestion in every thread for the four errors I keep getting (AMD failed to start; iTunesHelper Error 7; Windows error 998; and AMD Error 1053.) I am fresh out of ideas and very frustrated. I mostly want to make sure I don't lose my music and photos, which I was about to sync.
The only other thing I see that is strange on my computer (which I discovered along the way) is that I cannot receive automatic windows updates and have not had an update since 2012. My iTunes worked a month ago, so that was obviously not a show-stopper in the past, but perhaps there is a Vista update I need for iTunes 12? I have service pack 2 for Vista. I have followed all threads to try to set my windows to automatic update, but no joy there either. It checks for updates and then fails. I followed instructions and did run an installation to install windows automatic updates, but that doesn't work either. I tried 10 times. It runs and takes a while, but is never able to successfully update windows. It says "checking for updates" for a while. Then it dies. My last update was 6/19/12 (failed) and it says the most recent check was 6/22/12, but I have tried 20 times on 10/31/14 and 11/1/14.
When asked to "Install new Windows Update software" to check for updates, I have done so 10 times. It downloads and installs, but never works.
It's an old Dell desktop computer from 2006, and I'm using an iPhone 5S. I am fresh out of ideas. Anyone really smart here?

TristanUpon latest reboot, I also received this error message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application."
Then I got the iTunesHelper not installed correctly error again.
Then the "Windows can't check for updates" error message.
Then "Apple Push has stopped working." Then a quick DEP error message that disappeared but said something about Apple Push being closed.
I'm also getting denials of service logged by McAffee. Not sure if I'm getting a virus/attack or not.
Not sure if it's a problem with my old desktop machine, my Windows Vista updates, or iTunes, but I'm very frustrated and out of ideas to try.

So i think i closed the wrong service at some point a few weeks back (apple mobile device) but iTunes remained working after that for another week. I then updated iTunes and i get the same "Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." every time. If i click ignore, just so i can access iTunes with out syncing my iPod (touch 2nd gen) i then get 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)" when it has all installed. I don't understand what the problem is anymore as I have looked at other questions on the apple website, carried out the advice and it hasn't work. Any of them.
Tings I have done:
- Wiped all iTunes and Apple data from my computer (if you search for 'iTunes' or 'Apple' nothing comes up apart from applets from system code.
- Attached iPod before iTunes install and updated drivers.
- Installed iTunes as 'Run as administrator'
- Uninstalled and re-installed the software nearly 20 times now and rebooted the computer in between everytime.
Please someone help because i really need to get music on my ipod and i enjoy the ease of use of iTunes compared to spotify or Windows Media Player.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

Regarding AMDS failures there is a hint in another thread that disabling the Windows Firewall before attempting to reinstall may help, otherwise take a look at the steps outlined in this post. Re: Can't install iTunes 12.1 on Windows 7 64-bit. I know they look a little daunting, but the process of generating the logs themselves isn't that hard to do. Extracting useful information from them is still a challenge but maybe something will leap out. If you want to post the log for the failed components for me to have a look at here or in the other thread please edit out any personal information, particularly your email address, first.

I have the latest version of iTunes and when I went to go open it, it can't! It says: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.Error 7 (Windows error 126)" What do I do now? When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

my laptop will not open iTunes, as it just says 'This version of iTunes has not been correctly localised for this language. Please run the English version'. I have not synconised my iPhone 5S or iPad 2 with iTunes for well over a year. I noticed the music which had previously been put into iTunes has dissappeared from my phone and iPad. I also want to remove some movies from my iPad and iPhone and there is no way I can do this without being able to manually sync with the Laptop which is running windows 7. Has anyone else come across this and please can you help?
