Itunes is not syncing all my photos from my imac to ipad.
It syncs most of them and they have been taken with the same camera. Any suggestions gratefully received.
If you are getting a 'cannot be displayed' or 'missing file' error, then try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync and see if they then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

When I sync my Ipad2 with my Imac, it does not sync all the photos. It seems to pick & choose what it wants to sync and also splits events. How can I set it to sync all photos so both libraries are the same?
Can't help you with the sync problem but the splitting of events was supposedly fixed with the iPhoto 9.1.3 updater.

ITunes does not sync all my photos (JPG) in iPhoto to the iPad2

I have a MacBook running OS X Lion, with all the updates applied and I also have the latest iTunes and iPhoto11 with all the updates applied. In iPhoto I have several events and a total of 11 thousand photos, and everything is fine, but when i try to sync all iphoto events in iTunes to my iPad2 (updated), iTunes only shows 616 photos!
I have tried to fix it by deleting the folders iPod Photo Cache in my iPhoto Library, but it didn't work out.
I also tried to verify if there were different formats or if the extension is hidden in some photo files, but there is nothing different! There are events with 10 pics and iTunes only recognizes 1 pic!
And I do not receive any error messages from iTunes!
Have anybody seen it before?
May you give me any hints of what I'm doing wrong?

i have latest version of i tunes i.e. 11.2 and OS 7.1.1
but the photos are around 3000 in my laptop n only half of them i.e. 1500 and lesser are being syn to my iphone.
i tried many tyms but the problem remains
plz help me m fed up of installinhg and reinstalling of itunes n resetting my iphone every now and then.Do you mean Account Settings in iPhone's Facebook app?

How do you get Itunes to only sync newly added photos from my phone to the computer and not every photo on my phone each time I try to sync?

My IPhoto library will not sync all my photo's and videos to my IPhone 4. It comes up well short every time. After syncing, I get a message, "example 1171 photo's could not be synced, please see Itunes for help". I have lots of space/gb on my Iphone, so I'm confused. I've done a factory reset and done all the usual stuff, but to no avail. My Iphone is a 32gb IPhone 4, my IMAC is OS10.6.8 and my IPhoto is IPhoto 08. I appologise in advance if i'm posting in the wrong place, so please no nasty trolls. I just need good, honest, kindly advice and a solution to this. I use my IPhone as a further external backup for my photo's

PaulGo to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

hello i accidentally synced all my photos from Iphoto and they doubled, i removed them all eventually to re-import them again, but i have no camera folder anymore and i have a folder called "From Mac" how can i turn it back to normal?

I cannot sync all my photos from mac to iPhone. The sync finishes before all photos are copied to The iPhone so in my iPhone I have albums with less photos than Mac! I select The album that I want to sync on The iPhone on iTunes but the syncronization finishes before all the photos of the selected albums are copied on The phone.
You should erase all contents and setting before giving your iphone away.

ITunes not synchronizing all checked photos from iPhoto to iPhone
I've just installed iOS 5.1.1, discovered that not all photos that I checked in iTunes had been synchronized to my iPhone, noted that Other was taking up lots of space, restored the iPhone from a backup, discovered that it still did not subsequently sync all requested photos, selected to sync no photos and delete those on the iPhone, and am in the process of once again syncing the photos that I selected. In short, I have been experiencing the usual frustration with iOS 5, new version notwithstanding.
Now I notice that I selected 25,287 photos, but iTunes is reporting "Copying photo ... of 13,320". Why just 13,320? I elected to erase all the photos on the iPhone, so I would expect that iTunes would have to copy all 25,287!
Has anybody experienced this problem? Maybe Apple would be wise to invest some cash in software quality control. iOS 5 and iPhoto '11 are seriously flawed.The operative word here is quality control. Quality control of a major number version encompasses regression and stress tests. Regression tests ensure that what used to work still does. Some regression tests can be automated, depending on the design of the program and the sophistication of any testing frameworks. Some have to be adapted to take into account changes in the way something is done in the new version, which, obviously, is another source of error. Some regression tests can only be done manually, with human operators following written scripts and comparing the outcome to screen shots, etc. An important source of regression tests are bug reports. Once the bugs have been resolved tests should be created in order to ensure that they don't reappear. Stress testing, at least when the stress factors can be tested separately, is relatively straight forward. Things get more complicated when the stress consists of various processes running simultaneously.
As you can imagine, quality control, incuding support, depends on available manpower and, generally speaking, the more manpower available the better. -
IPod Classic not syncing all my songs from iTunes
Background: I've had my 160GB iPod classic for 5+ years and been using iTunes for close to ten years. I'm using Windows 7 on my PC and up until recently I've been updating both iTunes and iPod whenever updates are available. After the horrible experience of upgrading to iTunes 11 and trying for over a month to get used to working with all the annoying bugs and compromises in functionality that Apple stupidly introduced into what was once a really good piece of software, I decided a week ago to downgrade to version 10.7. I went thru all the necessary steps to make this downgrade work, eliminating the various error messages, etc, and it appears now that my earlier version of iTunes is fully functional.
But when I connected my iPod to sync new songs, I kept getting a message to scan and fix the disc on my iPod. I wasn't sure if I should do that so I ignored the prompt a few times. Then last night I decided to restore my iPod and start from scratch. The disc error message has gone away, but now it is not syncing all the songs it is supposed to.
Af far as I know there are no broken links and all the songs in my music library are located within iTunes, so that is not the issue. There may be some songs with the same title and artist but that appear on different albums, so those should not cause a problem. At this point I have too many songs to fit on my iPod so I have selected to sync only checked songs, and I have unchecked over 1000 songs in iTunes, so that when I connect the iPod, it doesn't tell me that there is not enough free space to sync the iPod, it just syncs the checked songs.
Before restoring my iPod, I had 14161 songs in iTunes, with 1105 of those songs unchecked so as not to sync them in the iPod. I did the math and that left 13056 songs that are checked, and that was how many songs showed up in the iPod after syncing it, with about 1GB of free space left on the iPod.
Now, after restoring my iPod, I get only 13009 songs showing up in the iPod, meaning 47 songs are missing (with exactly 1.4GB free space).
How can I troubleshoot this to find out what songs are missing and why, and then fix it? Is there an easy way to approach this daunting task? I am really fussy about my music library and am not the kind of casual user who just loads a bunch of stuff on my iPod and doesn't care if there are duplicates, broken links, missing songs. I manage my own library very assiduously each time I import new music and make sure it is tagged and filed correctly according to my own system. I want to fix this issue.
Could it be a problem with me using a newer version of the iPod updates with an older version of iTunes? And is there a way I can correct that, possibly downgrade the iPod software version I have now? Would it be worth the trouble to try restoring the iPod again, and if so, what precautions do I take to prevent the same thing happening again, where not all my songs get synced to the iPod.

Iphone 4 will not sync all my photos after lion update
I just upgraded to Lion, and my iphone 4 will no longer sync all my photos. Nearly 600 are missing. I recieved the below error message -
Some of your photos, including the photo "AANP.JPG", were not copied to the iPhone "My iPhone" because they cannot be displayed on your iPhone.
All my photos were showing before I upgraded to Lion. All the files in question are a .jpg format
Here is what I have tried/checked-
I made sure all my photos were checked when syncing my iphone to itunes
I restored my iphone to orginal settings (it shows that there should be 1900 photos in itunes, but my phone only downloads 1300 of them)
I have made new albums and folders to get the files to show, but oddly enough my phone will not download them.
I do know about the article that says I need to restore the iPhone photo cache...and maybe I am slow, but I have no idea how to find the cache to clear it. I realize there is a tab in itunes that says photos, but how do I clear the cache from here?? The article is very confusing, and I really need more detailed directions.
The article says - If you need to free up space on your hard drive, or are directed to do so by another article, you can locate and remove the iPod Photo Cache folder(s).

Any help is appreciated!Update - I found the iphoto cache deleted it. This did not work.... it still cannot find the photos. I then placed all the photos on my desktop and synced my phone to the folder. It found ALL the pictures on my desktop folder. I would still prefer to find a fix, so I can sync my photos to iPhoto....

- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- The connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Then restore the iPod for that backup.
This will retain your app data. -
ITunes is not syncing all my pictures on my iPhone
I have iOS5 and iPhone 4s. Itunes is up to date too. I have about 2,000 pictures on my external hard drive that I am trying to sync on my iPhone. I have a 64GB phone. Only 900 of my pictures are uploading. I can view all my pictures just fine on my windows computer. Before the new phone and software update I never had any problems. What is going on? Is there anybody else having this issue?

OK. Here's the fix. Haven't had any problems since I tried the following: 1. Use the temporary fix of deleting the com.apple.Aperture file.
2. Now re-start Aperture while holding Command + Option and select 're-build database'
3. Quit Aperture
4. Note that the progress indicator "Updating Previews for Sharing" appears before Aperture closes
5. Load Aperture
6. Load iTunes and connect iPad or iPhone (check for accurate library structure from Aperture)
7. Sync iPad or iPhone
8. Create a new folder in your Aperture library.
9. Move a couple of Albums to the new folder
10. Go to iTunes and click on the 'Photos' tab of the device sync options
11. Changes to Aperture library should update properly Let me know if this works for everyone else. I'm pretty sure it will. Seems that my library was corrupt, but rebuilding the library won't help unless the database (com.apple.Aperture) is deleted first.
