ITunes is redownloading every song/movie/tv show I've purchased

I've purchased something like 1,000+ items from the store and randomly yesterday it started downloading everything again. I even try to pause them and then delete them all. But when I buy another song, it does the same thing all over again.
Has anyone had this problem? I have no idea how to fix it. Thanks!

Generally adding a common album artist will fix things.

I have bought a ringtone from the itune app on my iphone, It does show in my purchase list as being used as my default ringtone. How do I get it to set as my ringtone? Help.

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.
    Sync.
This is all described in the User's Guide, reading it may be a good place to start.

  • No duplicates in my Itunes library, but every song is duplicated in my pc behind the scenes.  Any ideas?

I have a large Itunes library of 16,000+ songs and when I am in my Itunes library, there are no duplicates.  But, in my pc, there are duplicates of every song in different file folders.  Does anyone have this issue?

Everything is synced through itunes.  It is not stored in itunes.  itunes is simply a counduit through which photos are synced.
"And a friend mentioned that to move photos I would need to set up a separate ITunes account."
This does not make sense.  Your itunes accoutn whould have no impact on your pics.
Still not sure what your question is.  Please explain what the issue is and what you are trying to accomplish.
You remove photos from iphone the same way you put them there.  the sync process.  Open itunes. Connect iphone. Go to the photo tab.  Select what you want to be on the iphone. Sync

  • ITunes stops after every song

Hey there, sorry for the potential stupid question. I've been using iTunes for a long time now, but I've never encountered this before. Basically, the title says it all. After every song, iTunes goes idle. This occurs in playlists, the library...everywhere. Maybe I checked something random without intending to, but I've looked around and can't figure it out. Any help would be more than, um, helpful. Thanks!

Welcome to Apple's user-to-user discussion forums.
Did you accidently uncheck all the tracks in your library? Are the boxes in front of all the titles unchecked? If so, place your cursor over one of the unchecked boxes and Command-Click. All of the boxes should turn blue and will now contain a checkmark. iTunes will stop if there are no checkmarked tunes to move to after the currently playing track.

  • Bought 5 new songs on itunes. ipod syncs but songs do not show up on any playlist

Bought 5 new songs on itunes . ipod syncs but the new songs don't show up on the play list that is on the ipod . the do appear on itunes library. what am i doing wrong ?

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Try syncing using the manual method

Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs? (iTunes purchases only)

    Hello,
I would like to move my huge iTunes library music from external HD 1 to a bigger external HD 2. I would like to make HD 2 as my only reference and after delete any iTunes files on the HD 1. Already chosen the new media location and checked "keep media folder organized".
Then should I Consolidate files or Reorganize under Organize library?
    Should I use export library?
Can you please give a clue what steps should I take?
These are questions you should ask before you do anything.
    Follow Niel's instructions.

  • Huge number of duplicate files in iTunes music library, every song twice!  Can I just uplug my external hard drive and clear all songs, then resync?

iTunes seems to have a duplicate listing of every song that is on my removeable external USB hard drive.  Is there an easy way to remove these?  Every song is listed twice, but one of the listings gives an error when you try to access it.
I haven't tried this yet, but can I just unplug the HD, then delete all of those songs, then plug it back in and let iTunes "find" them again?

Try iTunes Folder Watch with its option to scan for dead tracks on startup. Alternatively...
    Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist. Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your "missing" tracks will be in this playlist. If it suits your purposes you can select them all with Ctrl-A then delete them with Ctrl-Shift-Delete.

  • ITunes cuts off every song at 2:54 when trying to burn a CD

I'm using iTunes 10.5.3.3 and Windows 7 (64-bit). When I try to burn a playlist to a CD, it cuts every song off at 2:54 minutes. I have tried three different albums now and it does it every time.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I already updated to the latest firmware for the DVD drive.
Also the albums were purchased from the iTunes store, so I cannot try a different program to rip them.

Failed while scanning for CD / DVD drives, error 2380.
Error while opening iTunes CD driver. This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install

  • HT203167 Purchased songs, movies, tv shows & apps are not appearing in "Purchased" folder in iTunes store.  How do I fix this?

The items are downloaded to my harddrive so I do have these items.  However, if I wanted to access any of these purchased items on my iPad2 via the cloud I cannot.  They no longer show up.  How do I fix this?  How do I get the listing of all my purchased items back in "Purchased" in the store?

What country are you in ? Music, films and TV shows can't be re-downloaded in all countries - what can be re-downloaded where.
You should keep and maintain your own backup of all your purchases, as even if they could be re-downloaded as apps and ibooks can be, there is no guarantee that any item will remain in the store for future re-downloading.

  • IRISH ITUNES MUSIC STORE----- WE WANT MOVIES & TV SHOWS

First of all let me inform itunes as I would hope they are already aware but i'll reiterate it anyway, Ireland is not a country full of green leprachauns (see I can't even spell the word) with high pitched voices, We are infact the business and economic hub of the E.U. as it stands and boast one of the most powerful and successful economies in the world (4th at status quo). So why? Why 8 months down the line are we still not being allowed avail of the service used in the States (thats you lot) such as downloading tv shows(lost prisonbreak the oc one tree hill desperae housewives and so on) and movies. Tv airing of theese shows is but one to two months after they are first aired in the states. So I would petition that the iTunes corp. consider putting forward the service of film downloading and so on, as it is gaurenteed people would use it as they are both willing and able (with near saturationa point in broadband usage in the Republic). Thank You

I believe the plan for Movies is to roll them out to other stores in 2007. However exactly when or even if your store will get them in 2007 will be down to the individual negotiations with the rights holders for your region. You have to remember that reason that stores for different countries have different content is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies, film companies, TV companies and other copyright holders. These are quite often completely different from country to country and therefore all require their own individual contract negotiations. The varying content is not imposed by Apple.

  • Hello, Everytime I download something from iTunes, iTunes automatically downloads every previous movie I've ever rented.  How do I stop this?  Thank you!

    Hello,
Everytime I download something from iTunes, iTunes automatically starts first downloading all previous movies I've ever rented...again.  How do I clear these rental movies from my queue.  I've watched all of them and the time period has expired for all of them.
    Thank you!

    That one's definitely interesting.
I think it may be time to use the iTunes Expresslane for that.

  • ITunes not importing every song?

I just tagged 10,570 MP3s with ID3v2.3 using a program called MP3Tag. I then did a clean install of the 64-bit iTunes on my Win7 PC. After pointing iTunes to my library, it imported 10,193 songs, that is, 377 songs didn't get imported. I thought that there might be some duplicated that iTunes isn't counting, but I don't have 377 duplicates. I looked online for any mention of an iTunes import error log, but couldn't find it. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not patient enough to got through 10,000 songs to find the missing ones!

The usual problem is that iTunes will skip over any songs if it has a problem with the tags, and it provides no error message.
I am not familiar with MP3Tag, but usually a quick cleanup with a tool like MP3Validator solves the proble.
