itunes is refusing to accpet that there is a device connected

I understand that when you connect your iPod to your Windows computer, iTunes doesn’t recognize that it has been connected. There are some great troubleshooting steps in the following article. I recommend starting with the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant that applies to your iPod link under number one to begin and then move onto the next steps if needed.

1.  Start with the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant
If you haven't already done so, use the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant that applies to your iPod. This will often solve your issue.
