ITunes is Ripping me off

I have a billing problem in my itunes account and i tried to use another visa card. It was declined but apple store still charged me. I checked my card activity and says there that itunes charge 11 times and my apple account is still saying that i have a billing problem. Is there any way that i can redeem what apple charged me?

What were you 'charge 11 times' for ? Do you mean the temporary store holding charge that is made each time that you add or change the card details on you account, to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account ? If you do then that should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

What sort of visa card are you trying to use, debit or credit ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

    So I was downloading The Rock, and I had paid for it and everything. When it got to the end of it's download the iTunes program froze up and was not responding, so I had to close it with the Task Manager. When I open it back up, I notice that the movie is niether in my "Movies" folder or my "purchased" folder. I also notice that my money has been given back for the purchase. I look to see if I can try again, and I click on "But Movie" and then it tells me to go to the "Check for Purchases" option in the "Store" menu. I go there and it tells me all my downloads have been purchased, which would lead me to believe that since I did not have the movie on my computer, and it gave my money back, then I hadn't downloaded it. So i close that little text box, but then I notcie that it had taken my money away again and the movie was NOT downloading or in the purchased folder. That's real mean, Apple.

    this same thing happened to me, just a smidge different.
    i click the redeem button, type in the gift card code, and hit 'Redeem'. Itunes tells me that it can't redeem the card because of an error. I try about 4 more times, and the same thing happens. So i restart iTunes.
    i enter the code again, and NOW it's telling me that i ALREADY REDEEMED THE CARD. ***. there is NO money in the little money box, and the card is now inactive.
    THEN i try calling for customer support and get some guy in India who i can not understand to save my life.
    iTunes should be burned to the ground.

    It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
    Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.
    At this point I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Jailbreak tweaks that can enable what I want. Unless of course it's agaisnt the rules of this forum to mention jailbreak stuff...

    A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad.  But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup.   How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

    I have the same problem on my Windows 7 computer. In the right-click menu for a song one option is DELETE. However when I click that option the next window is to HIDE instead of DELETE. Apple, please help us with this.

    Not really. iTunes places rips at *<iTunes Media Folder>\(Music\)<Album Artist|Artist>\<Album>\## <Track>.<ext>*. You can change the location of your *<iTunes Media Folder>* but that's it. The optional Music\ bit depends on whether you're using the new *iTunes Media Organsiation*.

    Nope. iTunes add files to the library as part of any import, rip or play operattion.
    For what it's worth I keep my library organised manually, but why use MP3Tag to edit data that can just as easily be editied inside iTunes? After I rip an album or purchase from iTunes/Amazon I use iTunes to amend the details so that the album will be properly organised (see tips at http://www.samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp) and then use MediaMonkey to reorganise the files & folders to my style. I then simply delete & reimport the album.

    Hi..I have been a verizon customer here and there and the only reason I switched to another company was because the bill was way cheaper and you get everything just like verizon. And the bill is only $59 for data plan and everything. Verizon charged me $130 for my monthly bill and I just cannot see paying $130 for a cell phone..That is pretty ridicuolus if you ask me. So I went back to the basic phone, where I just got talk and text and my bill this month was $101..Just for the BASIC phone. So Yes I think they need to lower their costs for bills before these other companies run them out of business because they rip people off. And I about fed up with paying these high bills just for a basic cell phone. Any of you experienced this? Please let me know, so I am not the only who is feeling this way. grrr

    I guess I am curious as to what plan you currently have with Verizon.
    Verizon has a pre-paid plan for basic phones which includes unlimited talk, text AND data for $50/month. That $59/month bill DOES NOT seem way cheaper than this plan.
    If you want a post paid plan, you can get a Share Everything plan for basic phones which start at $70/month with unlimited talk and text and 300MB of data/month.
    Of course, taxes would be additional.
    It seems to me you need to re-evaluate which plan you need with Verizon.

    If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes being set 'off' ?
    If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • BT Ripping People off!!!!!!!!

    Yesterday I was nearing my limit of 40gb so I never used the computer to download anything, I had 1.27mb left this month. Switched on tonight and checked and I'm 2,3gb over the 40gb, very strange how a computer thats not on can use 3,57gb overnigh switched off. Seen before coments here when people get near suddenly without warning your usage jump over the magic 40gb and BT rip you off for the extra charge. Thats the final straw they are the most expensive and at least when Duik Turpin robber you he stuck a brace of pistols in your face.

    I recently upgraded my mother (85) as her usage suddenly went off the scale. It was showing 5GB in one day. Considering she hasn't got a computer and uses an iPad to send me a message every night etc I was deeply suspicious. Her average monthly use was 1GB. Suddenly in two days she had used 9GB.
    I upgraded her. But I don't trust the monitor. I think it is faulty. As for me I haven't been able to access my use for at least a year .
    However the sensible thing is to be on unlimited.

    I had €4.38 on my pre-paid debit card (o2 money card) and I wanted to but an album off iTunes that was €2.99, so after itunes taking €1.98 off me I now have €2.40 left on the card, which isn't enough to pay for the album????  Will itunes take the €2.40 off the card and then take the reminding amount off once I get the €1.98 back off them??
