This is driving me crazy i cant sync music on my ipod my music is gone from itunes library and everytime i sync my ipod to itunes it says "this ipod is sync to another library"So how do i find that old library?

- It sounds like you cousin messed up your computer.
- I would search the computer and see if the music is somewhere on the computer.. If it is just sign nto iTunes on the computer and authorize the computer and import the music.
- You can redownload some iTunes purchases by:

- You can transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- You can transfer non-iTunes purchased music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

- After everthing in in your iTunes library, connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup

Without providing details on exactly what you did it is hard to provide an answer. It's like me saying, "This chocolate cake I made tastes wrong," but not providing the recipe for review. Maybe it was the garlic in that particular recipe.
If iTunes is successfully using a previous library which you rename to iTunes Library.itl then that is now the current library.
Have you restarted your computer and then tried emptying the trash?

I can play the songs on my iPod but when I want to play them on iTunes I can't. It tells me it can not be found. I found this solution on a posting ....
There easy solution is; when you see the Would you like to locate it message, click on Yes and manually search your folders for it. Open it when you find it and the song will be restored to iTunes. Unfortunately, since those songs are not in the iTunes Music Folder of your computer, this means that those same songs will disappear next time you have a failure and you will have to repeat this process.
but it didn't work for me. I don't want to remove the music on my iPod because I don't want to lose it forever but I need to make room for new music. I didn't really keep the cd's because I had them saved on my iPod so I gave most of my cd's away.

This is the problem because iPods are not intended for use that way (aside from the legality of having a copy of music you no longer own). Storing music on your iPod and nowhere else is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
The iPod is not reliable enough to use it as a long term storage device, and these forums are littered with posts from people who decided to use it as such and ended up losing all their music.

ITunes Match: How can I tell if a matched song is from the correct album?

Since iTunes Match uses my album art and metadata, is there a way to see the album art of the matched item from iTunes?
I have ripped hundreds of classical music CDs through the years into iTunes, and they all have album art (not from iTunes Match).   Now that I have signed up for iTunes Match, how can I confirm that a matched item from iTunes is from the correct album?
I have read that the matching algorithm isn't perfect and can match to the wrong item.   I have recently upgraded the quality of all my ripped music by downloading all the matches from iTunes Match, and replacing my local CD rips (I have backups).
So, if I ripped Beethoven's 9th by Herbert Von Karajan, is there a way to see the album art of the matched music from iTunes, so that I can confirm it didn't match the item to Beethoven's 9th by Bruno Walter?
Does the matching algorithm use song length/duration, or is it only using wave form sampling?

I'm not having any troubles with artwork changing, but I wish I were, because if the artwork changed then that would allow me to detect if the correct tracks are being matched.
I'm worried about waveform matching with classical music because I can have 2 pianists or 2 orchestras that play the same piece so it seems that the waveforms would be very similiar.   I have many CDs of the same pieces of music but by different performers. For example, both performers play on a piano and both play the same piece of music. Wouldn't the waveforms be very similar?
So that's why I'm wondering if there is some way to get the artwork of the piece being matched, so that I can see what album it is coming from.
Do you think if I deleted my artwork and then matched, that I'd get the artwork injected into my matched music?

It is asking to verify your info. Select None for the credit card.

Several years ago I had an itunes account through my work email address. I have since left the company. When I tried to access the itunes I purchased, my password would not work because I no longer had access to that acct. How can I access that acct?

You can reset your Apple ID password via the steps in the first article below. I would try the option to answer your security questions. If those steps do not work then you may need to reach out to our account security team to reset this old Apple ID password. Once this is done you should be able to access your old DRM protected purchases.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

My itunes erroneously says that my ipod is synced with another computer when I try to sync. What can I do to fix this?

First, right after updating my iTunes to the latest version, my iTunes will not display album covers. It says exactly "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer." It has never been an issue before, but, anyway... that is where it all started.
Then I read a bunch of Apple Support topics on the subject, and it directed me to replace my library file with a previous library file. So, I did, and now, not only will my albums not display, but my iPod Touch will not sync with my computer, the only computer I have ever used it on. It says that the ipod is synced with another library and asks me if I want to erase and sync (I have my music on my computer, but I will lose all of my apps and such).
What can I do to resolve this? Thanks for the help.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
All media content will be erased during the first sync, but you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

There is no Info tab in Mavericks
