Itunes is selecting multiple songs when I click and all my comands seem to have changed

I left my computer on playing music from itunes in my room while I was cleaning, and I think my cat walked on it and pressed some series of keys because now when I click on one song it doesn't play or anything then if i click on a second song it selects (highlights) all the songs in between the two. If i hit esc it will clear the highlighted portion and if i right click and then select play the song i am on will play, but if i hit the right arrow it just fast forwards through that song for as long as i hold it but before it was skipping to the next song. I really really hate this and i want it to go back to normal if anyone knows what this is and how to fix it please let me know! THANKS!! <3

Has either if the shift keys got stuck? It might be worth checking thew ctrl keys as well.

When Safari is active, in the menu bar at the top of the screen, there's a menu labeled View. From that menu, select Show Toolbar. It's right at the top.

  • Itunes left off multiple songs when I bought an album???

I just bought an album through iTunes yesterday (Lamb of God- Killadelphia) and just realized that it only downloaded 13 out of the 16 songs on the album.
I can't find any way to get the songs without rebuying them.
    What should I do?

Zach,  In any e-commerce site where you are in a financial transaction, do not hit "the button" twice.  Often you will get charged twice.
To straighten out the erroneous purchase, contact iTunes Customer Service.

  • Itunes match  how do you to select multiple songs or do you click each one

In ITunes match  how do you to select multiple songs to download to pc or do you have to click each one.

First make sure you have the current version of iTunes, which is actually 10.5.1.  I had to manually download it from apples website, for some reason, it wouldnt auto-update.
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Once that is complete, go to the iTunes store. In the Quick Links secion to the right, you should see iTunes Match. This will prompt you to activate your subscription to iTunes match.  After that it should ask you to add your computer and once youve done that, it should begin the process of scanning your library and adding it to the cloud
Alternatively, once you activate your subscription, you can also go to the Store dropdown menu in iTunes and select Turn On iTunes Match.

  • How do I select multiple songs and uncheck them from compilations (itunes 10.5.2)

So I found to my annoinance that itunes has recently moved much of my music to compilations that shouldn't be there. I tried searching online for how to turn compilations off or select multiple songs and uncheck them from compilations all at once and although I found both answers, they must have only worked for older versions of itunes. I no longer can find the option to turn off compilations under preferences and when I try to select multiple songs at a time then press "Get Info" the "part of a compilation" checkmark is not there. It is only there when one song is highlighted. This is very frustrated. In fact I would venture to say I've never been so angry with Apple. There are 609 songs "stuck" in my freaking compilations! I don't have time nor should I have to take the time to go through every single song right clicking it, pressing "Get info", unchecking "part of compilation" then clicking ok. WAY TOO MUCH TIME! If anyone has any good news on a faster way to do this I'd be VERY THANKFUL!

This was a life saver! I even started to manually tick the box as well!

  • Selecting Multiple songs (Itunes 10.6 for windows)

    Hi there,
I just recently updated to Itunes 10.6.3.25 and I just started having problem selecting multiple songs in my iTunes library.
Basically, when I try to ctrl+click any song, the song info pops up, instead of selecting the song. Shift+click still works for me, but when I am making playlists, I need to ctrl+click to choose and pick songs. Has anybody ever had the same problem, or know how to fix this?? Thanks!

Just a thought. I sometimes get random results from my wireless keyboard when it is either running low on batteries or my iPhone is too close to it.

    Hey Paul,
If I understand correctly, it sounds like iTunes is not grouping the songs from a particular CD together. The cause could be something as minor as a misspelling or slight variations. For more information, see the following resource:
Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?

  • Is there NO way to select multiple songs to go into a Music Playlist at once, vs doing it one by one?!

Argh.  So irritating how something that should be very simple and intuitive results in useless calls to Sprint (my carrier) and BB. with endless holds, transfers, pasing the buck, and still no results.  Then I'm suggested to go to the Forums...you know...where other paying BB customers can try tp provide the IT support that BB apparetnly could care less to do for its paying customers?
Anyway, I want to have multiple playlists in my BB Music so that when I host parties, I can play a particular type of music by selecting one of the playlists.  I was able to move songs to my BB but they only seem to move to the general Music Library (All Songs).  I was able to create Playlists, but it seems you can only move songs to the Playlist ONE AT A TIME.  There is apparently no way to select multiple songs to go to a playlist?  No way to move an entire folder of music from my PC to my BB songs, as its own separate sub-folder (i.e., Playlist)?
I know I've been able to do this with other devices in the past.
Otherwise the BB Music Playlist options seems totally pointless.

  • I accidentally purchased three songs when I clicked on just one to purchase and I don't know what to do to stop then from downloading or to get them off my iPod..

I accidentally purchased three songs when I clicked on just one to purchase and I don't know what to do to stop then from downloading or to get them off my iPod..

Purchases are considered final, but if they were accidental purchases then you could try the 'report a problem' link to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If they've downloaded onto your iPod then you should be able to delete them from it by swiping/dragging across them from right-to-left on the Songs selection screen in the Music app

  • HT1351 I would like to sync ITUNES to my IPOD.  When I click on devices the sync is greyed out.  can anyone help

I would like to sync ITUNES to my IPOD.  When I click on devices the sync is greyed out.  can anyone help.  I am running Windows 8

You need to select your iPod in iTunes.  The command (from the menu bar?) is disabled because you have not selected a device for which the command is applicable.
The latest iTunes may hide the sidebar.  To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, find and select the iPod under DEVICES.
Once the iPod is selected, you can select the Sync command under File -> Devices in the menu bar.  You can also just click the Sync button at the bottom left corner of the iTunes window (when the iPod is selected).

  • Selecting or de-selecting multiple songs in check boxes in playlist

What's the trick for selecting or de-selecting multiple songs via check boxes in playlists, etc.?
Figured this would be an easy one to figure out on my own, but here i am a few years later...
    Be easy on me, now.

just select all the songs you want to check-uncheck and then control click (or right click) and select check-uncheck selection.
    hope this helps.

  • Selecting multiple songs for Playlist or deletion...

this one's probably pretty easy, but how do you select multiple songs in the Music Library to be able to use in a new Playlist or to delete...I can't seem to find the right keystrokes for this....

Command-click to select multiple items or click the first one and Shift-click the last one if the items are consecutive.
Then press Delete to delete them or choose 'New Playlist from Selection' in the File menu (Shift-Command-N) to create a playlist of the selection.
You can find most shortcuts in the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' of the' Help' menu.
    Hope this helps.

  • How Do I select Multiple songs to Use with Slideshow?

I am running Lightroom 4 on an iMac with OS - Lion. Love it!
I am trying to create a slideshow with music in the background but I cannot seem to select more than 1 song. How can I select multiple songs?
    Thanks
    Adrian

The slide show feature in Lightroom isn't really very flexible or feature packed.  I suspect the design was to provide professional photographers a quick way to show proofs to clients.  You will have to use other software for what you intend to accomplish.  I'm going to be creating a slide show with about 500 images soon.  My intention is to create the slide show with Lightroom and export as video.  Then I will use Premiere Elements and import the video and lay down the music track.  There are easier ways to do it, I know.  But I don't do this kind of thing very often and don't plan to purchase more software that would make it easier.
