Itunes is temporarily unavailable.  Try again later.

I am able to connect to the itunes store to update my information, but I am unable to browse songs or make purchases. I receive the error message which reads: "Your request could not be completed. Itunes store is temporarily unavailable. Try again later" I have been getting this message for the last 2 weeks - email to the support team have been unable to resolve my issue. I have the most current version of Itunes, I have no firewall issues, and I have had no problems until about 2 weeks ago -

I am having the same problem. It doesn't happen with every thing I click on.
For instance...
Browse -> Music -> Rock -> All
gives me the error message, but
Browse -> Music -> Rock -> Heavy Metal
does not.
I just noticed that this is about iTunes for Windows, and I have a Mac. Same problem, though.

    Hi, Kenny.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
There are a couple things that I would recommend trying.  Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device.  Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below.  If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in.  Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.

  • The itunes store is temporarily unavailable - try again later.

The itunes store keeps saying that it is temporarily unavailable and to try again later. It has been like this for about a week now and I have tried everything. My software is up to date on both my laptop and itunes so I cannot see why it would be taking this long to resolve. I can see the visual banners on the start page and can search music but I am not able to make changes to my account, sign out of my account, purchase music or redeem vouchers etc. Please help if you can!

  • "This item is temporarily unavailable - Try again later" (Dec 2013)

A few days ago, I reset my imac (21.5 inch - mid 2010) to factory settings, and now I cannot download from iTunes, music that I've brought.
When I first opened iTunes, it was empty (of course), so I tried pressing the "Check for Available Downloads" button and a window popped up saying "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID", but, my library was still empty, and it was not downloading anything.
After searching on some forums and looking through some posts, I finally managed to make the albums/music show up in my library: I activated "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Now that the music was in the library, I though I'd be able to play it, but no... Instead when either trying to double click the albums to start the music or when I tried to press the iCloud image in the top-right of the album covers, and error showed up (image below). I looked, again, on the internet for suggestions or solutions, but couldn't find any. I only saw post back from 2010 with similar problems, and the instructions there seemed a little bit outdated (I tried them anyways, but didn't work - not surprised)
I have checked the app store, and everything seems to be updated to the latest version...
As you can see on the screenshot, it tries downloading the music, but is failing and the status goes from " -- loading bar --" to "stop". "Resuming" just restarts the process.
    Need help ASAP.

    Hey there Mentin,
It sounds like you are having difficulty downloading a previous purchase or two from the same album but others work fine. I would try signing out of the iTunes Store, then restart your computer, sign back in and try again.
    Sign Out:
Choose Store > Sign In (or Sign Out).
    From: iTunes 11 for Mac
              http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12299
If the issue persists, I would next reach out to our iTunes Store support and report an issue:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

  • My Note II cannot receive OTA for 4.4.2, getting "Software update is temporarily unavailable.Try again later"

Got my note II GSM unlocked from ebay recently. I am using it on T-mobile network, therefore it isn't with Verizon anymore

I wonder Verizon only support OTA for devices that are still with them?

  • "We could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection could not be established. There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later."

When I try to open the home page in my Itunes I get the message "we could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection is not be established. There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later." It had been working just fine, in fact I had just purchased a song & edited my itunes account. Could changing the name on my account have cause the error message or is something else going on? This is a brand new computer.

I've got an Apple ID problem, too. All of the sudden in the midnight between August 31st and September 1st, the new apps I picked up on the App Store hung forever 'Waiting..' in my iPhone and never turned 'Loading'. When a substantial amont of time had passed, they reported, they 'could not connect to the App Store' and .. disappeared! Well what they told was not perfectly true because I could however connect to the store as I could browse and pick the apps, but the apps just didn't load. I tried to log into my account in iTunes on my Windows 7 laptop, too, and there got exactly the message in the topic title.
It appeared later my Apple ID did not completely fail because when I switched from my home WiFi to the phone 3G, everything worked just as nothing happened. Logically, this intimated my WiFi had flaws. Or, some place between my WiFi router and Apple servers did, to be precise. My router was not to blame because I did no changes to it whatsoever.
All right, it is Saturday today and my ISP is running in unmanned mode meaning no hotline, but I call them on Monday unless the problem disappears by itself. I just wonder what I say, because from non-i-world point of view everything works well, and I know for sure guys in the ISP support don't own any i-stuff, (because they are all android fanatics) . I'm not telling them my Apple ID to let them reproduce the problem on their home equipment, which means I come almost totally proofless.

  • I am getting "Error in accessing iTunes store. Please try again later." Error 0x80092013. I have just downloaded and installed current version of iTunes, and have the 2013 Norton IS. My proxy server is letting me got to iTunes, but cannot login.

I have a proxy server and the server is allowing me to go to iTunes. But I get a message "Error in accessing iTunes store. Please try again later." Error code ox80092013. I cannot find that code in the troubleshooting section. I have just installed a new PC HP5750, with Norton IS 2013. I installed the current version of iTunes directly from the iTunes site. My proxy server is American Family Online web browsing filter. I contacted them and they said there should not be a problem with their server. I have had an account previously, but has been inactive for several months. I even tried to create a new account, but still got the same error code.
Someone please help with this. I have accompaniment tracks on iTunes that I need for music ministry.

  • There was an error in the iTunes store.  Please try again later.

For the last few weeks, the iTunes store has been displayed with empty graphic rectangles (with a blue box containing a white question mark centered in the rectangles), bits of text, and some buttons. The page extends quite a ways, including what I assume would be all the links to all the music Apple would like to sell me, etc.
When I click on any of the missing graphics rectangles or any of the links, I get a dialog box that reads: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The requested resource was not found. There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."
If I click on any of the buttons, nothing happens.
This has been going on through several recent upgrades. I'm now on 9.0.2.25 and this problem still hasn't been resolved.
Everything else seems to work. Even Genius continues to offer me suggestions (I haven't tried to buy any, but at least it's matching things correctly and displaying correctly). I can play all my songs just fine. It's just the iTunes store that is completely useless.
    How do I correct this?

If all you are trying to do is buy music, you can easily buy MP3s at any online music download store (e.g. amazon.com) and add them to your iTunes library.

  • When I attempt to upgrade an app in iTunes for windows, I get an error:  "Could not purchase.  An unknown error occurred (11111).  There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later"

When I attempt to upgrade an app in iTunes for windows, I get an error:  "Could not purchase.  An unknown error occurred (11111).  There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later"
I am running the latest iTunes 10.7.0.21 for Windows 7.
This error occurs if I try to either update the app or if I delete it and attempt to redownload.
I have an iPhone and an iPad.  I am unable to update the apps or install the apps from within the App Store on iOS.
I do not have an AOL ID, as is a common issue with this type of error.
From what I can tell, my Apple ID account seems fine.  I logged in, changed some information, and ensured my credit card is valid and updated.
I can download new apps just fine.  I am unable to update or install apps I have purchased in the past.

After 30 minutes this morning, no resolution. Then another tech support call this afternoon, 15 minutes in, was escalated to a Tier 2 (Senior) advisor. He said something similar to the above ("this is one of the strangest things I've seen"). He was chatted with iTunes guys and took all my info into the case and was escalating it over to engineering. Said they would be in touch.
    So, no solution...yet.
    Just to clarify:
iTunes on Windows7: trying to update an existing app, or re-download a prior app, gives the (11111) error. Downloading a new (free) app worked fine.
App Store on iPhone5, iOS 6.0.1: click on UPDATE, switches to INSTALLING...for a second, then switches back to UPDATE. No error message (and nothing in Diagnostic data).
App Store on iPad 3, iOS 6.0.1: same as iPhone 5.
    Definitely account related.
I have cleared the store cache, signed out and back in, deleted the credit card data, and re-added, rebooting PC and iPhone...nothing works.
Will post if I hear anything back from Apple.
