Itunes keeps asking me for my password over and over and over and over again.

I have tried authorizing and deauthorizing the computer, signing out of itunes, checking for itunes updates, checking for unfinished downloads. Last week I called support to reset my account and password. It's working fine on the iPad, just not on the MacBook Pro. You name it and same problem. Can't purchase anything at all. Any clues?

that sounds like it is rejecting your password. confirm that you are not able to sign into http://id.apple.com - if not, reset your password.

A couple days ago, Itunes asked me to change my password. I did. Then it asked me to update my billing info. The problem is, I can't *get* to the billing info because it keeps asking for my password. I was technically signed in, so I went to my account and went to change the credit card information (which is still correct, btw...I was just hoping that re-entering it would fix it). However, when I clicked "edit credit card info" it tells me my session has timed out. Every time. And its only been a couple of seconds. Same issue. I complete one purchase and on the next one I get stuck in an endless loop of it asking for my password over and over. I have to close iTunes, reopen and it's fine, but that is ridiculous to do for every purchase.

I am trying to buy more icloud storage and am putting in the correct password. everytime i do it it says completing purchase and then keeps asking me for my password as if it wasnt correcr and wont let me buy the storage.

I'm trying to restore a new ipod but it keeps asking me for the passwords of itunes accounts that are not mine.

It is trying to restore my new ipod from the backup cloud, but it keeps asking me for the passwords of three different itunes accounts, two i know are my friends accounts and I don;t even know whoose the third is. I must have some of their music on my library or something, but it won't backup without these passwords it seems. Is there a way to get around this? I have the music in my Itunes library and can listen to it all I want and burn it on cds but I cant get it to go on my ipod without their passwords. Can i switch it and just have it sync to my computer and not this icloud? My other ipod didnt ask me for these passwords when I tried to sync it.

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.

Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.

If you intend to keep using iCloud on your iPad, your best course of action would be to update your Apple ID/iCloud information so that you have a known password and it is associated with an active email address. You may find the following articles helpful:

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

By default, the App Store will request your Apple ID password once, and then for the next 15 minutes (or so, I beleive), it will not require it again. If you want to change that behavior, enable restrictions (making sure to memorize the passcode you create), and change the default to 'Immediately'.

YOu can't update your apps with the new apple id. All apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchased it, you will need to enter your password from you old id to update.
