ITunes keeps asking me to register my iPhone

Everytime my new 4S connects to iTunes, inlcuding over Wi-Fi, iTunes makes me register the phone (or click on Register Later). This is getting annoying. I have registered the thine a dozen times and nothing seems to stick. What do I do? I can't register it online on the Apple website because it doesn't even list the 4S as a product.

I just got off the phone with Apple as I had the same issue.  Apparently, the phone has a file that was not accepting the edit that itunes was sending it, causing it to always want to register.  The 'fix' was as follows:
- create new user (test user) in users and groups
- log off main account
- log in with test user
- open itunes
- identify the device, register later or never (do not register)
(the device was there, with all proper info....)
- Go through all the tabs to ensure that all boxes are UNCHECKED for sync.
- Then sync the device (empty sync)
- eject the iphone 4s from itunes
- close/reopen itunes, and then reconnect iphone 4s.
Once I did this, it did not ask me to register again.  Log off test user, and log in with main account, and retry.  Worked for me.

  • Itunes keeps asking me to register my iPad, itunes keeps asking me to register my iPad

Each time i turn itunes on it keeps asking me to regitser my ipad... i have now registered it nearly 10 times.... how can i get it to stop asking me?

The problem lies with registering wirelessly when Sync with iPad over Wi-Fi is checked.
To fix the iTunes from asking you to register your iPad everytme you restart your iTunes follow these 3 simple steps (close your iTunes program before you follow these steps):
    1) Plug your iPad to your computer with the supplied Apple 30pin to USB cable.
    2) If your iTunes doesn't start up automatically, start it manually now.
    3) Your iTunes will prompt you to register your iPad, choose Never Register - since you've already registered before).
Now, you won't see the pesky register prompt again.

  • Itunes keeps asking me to register.

I got a new ipod yesterday, and I've updated it to iOS 5. I'm having an issue where everytime iTunes detects my iPod (wireless sync) it asks me to register it. I've already registered it once, but the message keeps appearing. I've heard that selecting "Register Later" makes the message stop appearing, but I want to make sure that my iPod is actually registered before doing this.

Maybe this is a problem with iTunes 7.5.0.20 as this is a definite pattern between all the people on this thread. As it appear to affect all OS's and all iPod's as I have a new iPod Nano and it is doing the same thing.
Most likely iTunes 7.5.0.20 is not registering the product properly but it seems that it might still be able to detect previously registered products. So in that case maybe try using a previous version of iTunes, if possible, which may overcome this problem. I have not tried it out but if it is tested could someone post if it does/n't works, Thankyou.
Hopefully Apple will take notice of this a fix the new bug in iTunes.

  • ITunes keeps asking me to register my iPod Touch 5.

I registered it when I first set it up. What is the problem? What is the solution? This is odd. I've never seen this before with previous devices.

Register your iDevice on here.... sometimes, you have to register your device online and receive a conformation by e-mail..... that way it mays it easier for Apple & iTunes to think it's not stolen nor bought from an unauthroize retail/dealer

  • Why does iTunes keep asking for my password when I want to listen to my music on my iPhone?

When I want to listen to music on my iPhone, iTunes keeps asking for my password.  I am not purchasing anything.  It started today.  Why is that?

I've been having the same problem on my iPad and iPhone. I talked to Apple customer service this morning. They had me do the following on both devices in the Settings:
    * Sign out of iTunes & App Store
    * Sign out of FaceTime
    * Sign out of Game Center
    * Delete iCloud account
They also had me restore my iPad due to some glitchy behavior in the Music app.
Things seemed to me fixed for a few hours until I went into the iTunes Store app on my iPad and added a movie to my Wish List. When I went back to the Music app, the dreaded "Sign In to iTunes Store" popup started showing up again on both devices. Suspicious!
So, I cleared out my Wish List in both the iTunes Store and App Store. I've been poking at the Music app on both my iPhone and iPad since then I haven't seen that popup once since then. I'm not going to declare victory yet since it's only been an hour or two, but I thought that this was worth mentioning.

There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it.

  • New hard drive installed in Mac.  iTunes keeps asking to authorize a very old email address which is not associated with my iPhone and I cannot sync iTunes to my iPhone.

New hard drive installed in Mac.  iTunes keeps asking to authorize a very old email address which is not associated with my iPhone and I cannot sync iTunes to my iPhone.

It is referring to purchases made using an Apple ID that was set with that email as the Apple ID. Did you simply create a new Apple ID when the old email address was no longer being used? If so, then that old Apple ID is still tied (and will always be tied) to the purchases made with it, and you will have to sign into iTunes with that Apple ID in order to authorize the computer to it.
If you don't remember the password for it, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and click on Reset password. If you don't remember the answers to your Security Questions, you can contact Apple Support to get them reset:

  • After I updated to iOS 7.0.2, my iTunes keeps telling me to restore my iPhone, after I restored it. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this?

After I updated to iOS 7.0.2, my iTunes keeps telling me to restore my iPhone, after I restored it. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this?

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
    Restart / Reset   >  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Backing up, Updating and Restoring  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...

If you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If not, you can't use the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

Photoshop CS6 keeps asking me to register, I use Design Standard, and it's the only app giving me trouble so far.

I need some information from you to debug this:
1.Can you send a screenshot of the registration screen?
2.Please send me the logs amt3.log and oobelib.log from the /tmp folder.
3.I would also be needing your adobe id.
You can send the logs/screenshot to me at [email protected]

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours.  You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method.  But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

Can you check into this for me.

If you want Adobe to check it you'll need to contact them (use CHAT) but you could try checking whether you just need to SIGN IN to your apps.
