ITunes keeps copying bought content from my iPhone even though I click "Do not copy".

This is very annoying because this stuff is thereby undeletable. I´ve only got these problems with videos downloaded via the "12 Days of Presents"-App (which I have deleted).

Backup the device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup taken earlier.

  • Itunes match deletes random songs from my iphone, even if i re download them from the cloud, the next day another 3 or 4 are deleted by itself, anyone know a fix?

anybody know how i can fix this, i already tried to turn off itunes match off and on again on the iphone but it does not seem to work, also artwork once downloaded into the iphone it does not stay there, the next day its just a blank artwork and after the internet circles in the top left of the iphone stop spinning, i go back to my music library and then back to the song and it downloads it, but it does not stay there forever, any fix?
it would be kindly appreciated since this is a very annoying bug, specially the songs that just get erased from my iphone for no reason.

    Hi Kevinpnb,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Sorry to hear of your frustration with Music Match on your iPhone.  You should be able to delete the music from your iPhone by following the steps in this article:
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5637
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
You can delete a song or album from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch at any time. Don't worry; it'll still be in the cloud.
    Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.
Also, this information can be found on page 64 of the iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone.  Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod: Understanding capacity
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1867
If the issue still persists, try backing up your iPhone to iCloud, and then restore it:
iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521
I hope this information helps ....

  • HT1296 How can I get my contacts from my iPhone even though I don't have it ?

I'm trying to get my contacts from my iPhone but I don't have my iPhone with me

It might take a bit longer, but it's risk free:
Use your iMac to send your contacts in an email to yourself
    Open them using your iphone.
They should arrive as vcf format and you click to open it and hey presto!
Also works the other way round, so when I receive an email from a new contact, I register it on my iphone and click on "share contact", sending it to me which I then open on my Powerbook.
    Helpful?

  • Why did my playlists dissapear from my iPhone, even though they are still on my iTunes?

I went into my iPhone music app today (on my 4s), and I noticed all my playlists were gone.  All my music could still be found under Songs/Artists, just my playlists were missing.  I went home and noticed they were all on my iTunes still though.
I use iTunes match, so I turned it off on both iTunes and iPhone, then turned back on, but still playlists were gone.  I haven't done anything with iTunes or my phone recently, so I am not sure what has happened.  The only thing I have done was hook up an apple TV the other day...is that what did it?
Anyways, I plugged my phone in, turned off Match, and synced.  Playlists are there now.  Turn on iTunes Match, and they dissapear again.
What's going on? All the songs in my playlists are uploaded or matched in the could.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

  • Firefox prevents pages from automatically reloading even though I click allow.

This is one site: http://psychcentral.com/ There are reference materials at this site. The page will not load the reference links.
    This is another: http://fundox.free.fr/

I wish that there were a way to allow only certain site to automatically reload. It's annoying to know that now, in order to have the one site I want to be able to reload allowed to do so, I have to allow all sites. But clicking the "allow" doesn't help -- it's a dynamic page for a radio station, and clicking "allow" doesn't even last a second before I get the message again. Going to the Advanced Options tab and allowing it from there is not very satisfactory. I will have to remember to recheck it each time I'm not using that particular site. I hope that an upgrade to firefox might eventually incorporate selective permission, as it does with the pop-ups.
Love firefox! It's still the best browser for me!

  • Cannot remove an assigned download from downloads list even though its directory does not exist anymore

I have this download item in my Downloads window. The problem is that it has hung around there without any certain directory anymore. All the options at right-click menu would not take effect--except for 'Open Containing Folder' which is not available. I have a strong confidence that download is registered somewhere in Firefox that might be resolved manually.

You can try to delete the downloads.sqlite file to clear up the download history.

No backup? Never a good idea to not maintain a backup of your important data. If you do not have a backup, follow these instructions:
By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you formatted your computer, your phone, will see your computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else:
    http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/index.php
Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
    1. Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes(under the edit menu).
    2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in whatever supported applications you use for contact & calendar syncing. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
    3. Connect your phone, itunes running, do not sync at this point.
    4. Store>Authorize this computer.
    5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
    6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
    7. Right click again and select backup.
    8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
    9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
That's as good as it gets without a backup of your itunes library and other important data..

  • My iTunes got deleted off a (no longer working) computer. Is there a way I can transfer all content from my iPhone onto iTunes on a new computer? I want to update my phone, but do not want to lose any music off it when syncing it.

My iTunes got deleted off a (no longer working) computer. I have lost all music & data that was on this original itunes. • Can I save my photos from my iPhone to iCloud/iTunes, and then delete them from my iPhone to  free up space on my iPhone?I would  still like to keep them somewhere where they can  be accessed.

Can I save my photos from my iPhone to iCloud/iTunes, and then delete them from my iPhone to  free up space on my iPhone?I would  still like to keep them somewhere where they can  be accessed.

One option is to turn on iCloud Photo Library on the phone and go to Settings > iCloud > Photos and turn on "Optimize iPhone Storage." Then you don't delete the photo from the phone but it does occupy significantly less space. More information in iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support

  • How to delete content from old iPhone

Hi. My problem is a bit complex, I would say. I have just bought a new iPhone and sold my old iPhone. When I was about to delete and reset all the stuff on my old, i couldn't because i couldn't remember my password for the restrictions in settings (english is not my primary language, so sorry if some of the words are not completely correct in the context of iPhone). I ended up restoring the old iPhone and leave it as it was when restored (no content and with the itunes logo on the screen) and afterwards gave the new owner the iPhone. But on my mac and new iPhone it is still possible for me to see the icloud tabs on my old iPhone (even though the new owner has restored his iPhone and logged in with his own apple id. After realizing this, he installed the find my iphone app and logged in with my account. This was something I saw on an apple article about resetting your old iPhone. By doing this I could erease my data from his iPhone from my mac. But when he did that, his iPhone didn't appear on my screen, as I thought it would. Now, is there anything, anything at all, I can do to delete my old iPhone from my account? Or do i really have to get my old iPhone back and set it up with my own account, for therefore at reset the iPhone using the find my iPhone app? Please help I hope all this makes just a little sense.
    Thanks!

I hope I'm understanding your situation correctly.
Once you've erased the old phone Find My Phone is erased too so that's why you can no longer see it in iCloud. To delete your old phone from your account start iTunes and log into your account. From there you can delete the old phone in Manage Devices.

How do you transfer the content from an iPhone to a PC? I have to use a PC for a while and don't know how to put my stuff on to there from my phone

If you're talking about music and movies an i-device was not designed for unique storage of media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing music and movies is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred from a device to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • ITunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone/iPad -restore to factory set

I've had this issue with my iPhone for almost a year now , every time I connect my device to my laptop I get this error : iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone/iPad . Go to summary tab in your device and restore to factory settings ! And after I do so , iTunes tries to synch my device and after a few minutes i get this error that theres been a problem with synching and the same story again , restore to factory settings ....
I thought well there is something wrong with my iphone and I was too lazy to get it checked out but yesterday i bought my new iPad 16GB 3G/WiFi and guess what ... Same error !
I've tried different cables and computers changing my OS , reinstalling iTunes and so far nothing ...
I'd appreciate if someone can help me with this

    Dwchico,
Hopefully I can help you. I had the very same problem from the get-go. Apparently, many others in the forums have as well. The problem appears to be something with the way certain motherboards mount USB devices. In particular, Asus motherboards have difficulty mounting iPad. If you are using an Asus based system, most have updated BIOS's that address the issue. I updated my BIOS today for my Asus G51J laptop and the problem disappeared completely. If you have an iPhone, you probably weren't having any problems, right? iPhone does not appear affected by this problem.
    Best Regards,

  • I can't erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. It says iCloud account not verified, when it only asks for my Apple ID to erase all data and content.

It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. If anybody could point me in the direction that would be really appreciated. Thanks

    Hi.
Yes, I recently changed my Apple ID password - around 2 weeks ago when I bought the phone.
Does anyone know if you need to do the IOS update to be able to restore all data and content? I have not installed the new update on either of my iPhone 4S's yet.
The phone I am trying to reset was sold to me by a friend and when it was it had already been reset and it was on the language selection screen.

After I updated to iOS 7.0.2, my iTunes keeps telling me to restore my iPhone, after I restored it. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this?

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
    Restart / Reset   >  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Backing up, Updating and Restoring  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...
