Itunes keeps saying my iPhone sim isn't there, and iPhone telling me..

Okay, so I turned my phone on earlier and a message came up.
"iPhone needs a restore, please connect to iTunes and restore" (not word for word but you get the meaning)
So I connect it, and yes I have the newest version of iTunes out. When I connect my iPhone a message comes up
"iTunes cannot activate your iPhone because the SIM card is not inserted or a SIM Pin is required"
I have never had a sim pin on my phone, I've disconnected my phone and taken the SIM card out and re-inserted it, nothing.
I dunno what to do

Try placing your iPhone into recovery mode for the restore with iTunes.

I have just upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5. After updating, my iTunes keep saying restoring iPhone apps. Now I can use my iPhone but without my previous apps. I have also tried closing iTunes and open it again but it still says restoring iPhone apps as soon as it detact my iPhone. Does anyone knows how to solve this problem? I had the same issue with my iPad. The iPad itself thought it was fully updated (had taken me to the iCloud set up etc) but iTunes insisted it was still restoring apps. I closed down iTunes each time via the task manager.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, which didn't help.
What I did in the end was disconnect the iPad while iTunes was still running - without any attempt to eject it. When I then plugged it back in, it came up with an error message along the lines of "An attempt to restore this iPad was interrupted. Do you wish to continue attempting to restore?" I hit cancel, and I was then able to do a manual sync as normal, and all my app data was restored.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.

I tried restarting the phone several times, removing the SIM card several times, but it did not change anything, the SIM is still not detected.

You do not need to keep posting the same thing over and over again.

If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right? The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer. Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.

iTunes keeps saying iPhone not eligible for the requested build after downloading the update directly through itunes with the lateset version of itunes.

Here are some suggestions for your error message, copied from
iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting
This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. The iPod 3g will only support iOS up to 4.2.1 and nothing beyond that.

Start with removing iTunes in the order of the first article states, which is iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later). Once that is done, then download iTunes 64 bit version from the second link below and run that installer.
