Is the current user an administrator?
Can you change the default player in Windows? Goto Start>Control Panel>Set Program Access and Defaults> Custom> Default media player> iTunes

Had the same thing happen to me a few weeks back when I switched computers and migrated. Here's what worked on my iMac, so maybe it'll work on your iPad, too. Go to User(your home folder)/Music. Select/highlight your "Music" folder. Then do Command-I ("Get Info" from the File menu), click on the padlock icon in the lower right of the new window. Enter your user password. Click on your username just above the now-open padlock. Select "Read & Write" if it's on "Read Only," "Write Only," or "No Access." Now having your user account with "Read & Write" privileges (it may have been this way already; still do this next step), click on the gear on the bottom-center of that window. Click on "Apply to all enclosed items." When the pop-up says "Are you sure?" (or the equivalent), say "yes." This will grant access privileges to your user account for all the music files inside your music folder--all your iTunes stuff included). Then you should be good to go.

I have tried all the troubleshooting tips online but my Classic ipod doesnt work. My Itunes keeps telling me that it cannot restore the ipod because the ipod is busy. What can I do?
Have you tried rebooting for the Mac and iPod to see if that helps? To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It wouldn't hurt to also try plugging the iPod into another USB port and use a different USB sync cable.

I am trying to sync my iPhoto to my iPad from my Mac but iTunes keeps telling me that my iPhoto Library can't be found. I obviously can see that I have many photos and events so I am not sure why I'm getting this message.I have all the current software and have been playing around with it for hours and can't figure out the problem. Okay guys iTunes keeps telling me I don't have enough space to sync the songs and I know that is BS because it clearly says 3 GB free and yet it won't sync. Has anyone had this issue ever? Before a week ago I could fit 900 songs and now I can't fit 300. I know that my phone could fit 800-900 songs and there aren't many apps. There has to be a glitch. Can someone help? Please send me a response if you truly know the answer.

Didn't know an iPhone is capable of "BS"! Impressive. Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide: Restart, Reset, Restore.

I am unable to print a pdf from a website through Adobe Reader on my mac. It keeps telling me that no pages have been selected - I have uploaded the latest version of Adobe with no luck and have never had this issue before !

I'm trying to transfer the files from my Ipod touch to my new computer. It is saying that not all of the files will be transferred because the computer isn't authorized. I have authorized it several times but it keeps bring up a previous apple id that I had but when I try to log in using that id it tells be it is no longer vailid and then it stops and won't let me transfer any files. The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

Itunes keeps telling me that i need to restore my ipad!
Whenever i plug in my ipad to my computer and open up itunes, it always tells me that i have to restore my whole ipads settings to use itunes, which is not happening. Anyone know how to use itunes with my ipad without having to restore it? Also there is nothing wrong wit hmy ipad, its an ipad 4 32 gig and works fine! I also have the latest version of itunes.
if the ipod is otherwise behaving normally, it's possible that this is being caused by a Windows drive letter confusion.

Itunes keeps telling me that it detects my ipod but it won't connect
I just got an ipod nano and I am trying to put music on it from i tunes but when I connect it the itunes says a message says "an ipod has been detected but could not be identified properly. please disconnect and reconnect. if the problem persist please un install then reinstall itunes." I did reinstall itunes and it still gives the same message. how do i get music on my ipod in this situation?
