Itunes lack of apple tv options

I have an Apple TV Generation one. It appears in my Itunes 11 but i only have two options "Settings" and "Photos", however the settings option doesn't seem to work. Because I feel like it should still have the option to sync music and playlists. However if I go to pictures I can sync those to it.
I tried the sidebar and the only options that gives me is "Copy Serial Number" and "turn off streaming".
Did Apple stop support for the Generation 1 and I missed it?

use the appletv remote to go to the settings on the appletv not on your computer
remove whatever computer it's linked to and setup a new link with your computer
now you should be set to sync rather then stream which your options would indicate is the problem currently

ITUNES,iPHOTO and Apple TV HELP

I am trying to sync my photo library on my Mac to Apple TV. While in Itunes, I select Apple TV, click on photos and then "choose folder". The problem is that my "iphoto" file, where my pictures are, is grayed out.
How do I select the file of my choice or how do I get my iphoto file not grayed out. How does itunes select by default, the proper picture file.

I do not know what libray itunes is choosing by default. The album listy displayed is not the one I want to use. Since Iphoto does not have a "save as" feature, I cannot determine what library iphoto saves to. Very strange and a departure from normal file management(editorial).
I have put a photo library, one that I know id the correct libray, on drive 1. When I go there, it is grayed out.

Why does iTunes not give me the option to backup my iPhone?

I have three iPhones in my family. On two of the iPhones, I am able to plug them into my computer and do a local backup (by selecting it in iTunes, right clicking and choosing "Back Up"). There is one phone, however, that does not allow me to choose this option. It takes me directly to the "Welcome to your new iPhone" page in iTunes, and asks me to restore it from a backup. I, however, do not have a backup on this computer, so I clearly do not want to wipe the phone and restore a backup.
How do I remedie this? Is there another tool that will allow me to create a backup?

Actually, I'd like to use fixed layout so I use com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml.
This ePub file looks good because I can open it with my iPad - iBooks, however iTunes publisher always rejects this.
Any solutions ?

I was getting that error when I used OSX's default compress feature. I found a little utility called ePub Zip and used it to compress (zip) my ePubs and that did the trick. They then passed the validation. I got it here:

You need to follow, exactly, the instructions on this page when creating a new account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
If you don't use those instructions then credit card details will need to be entered - after entering them you should get the 'none' option and be able to remove the card's details.

I tried enabling iTunes match and now the option is gone completely!

I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this...I was having issues initially with my iPhone not recognizing that I had iTunes match enabled, so I re-enabled it on my Mac. When I went to enable it under Settings->Music, it allowed me to switch on "Enable iTunes Match", but then the option immidiately disappeared (See screenshot). iTunes Match is currently not running on my phone and I cannot get the option to enable/disable it to populate whatsoever. I've tried soft reseting multiple times (Holding down the home+power button for 10 seconds) with no avail. Does anyone know any solutions to this issue? I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

Make sure you have current versions of iTunes and iOS.
Try tapping Settings > Store > Apple ID, sign out and sign back in.
If that doesn't do it, try restoring the iPhone.

Try quitting the App Store:
Tap the home button to get to the home screen. Then double tap the home button, and hold your finger over the App Store icon. Tap the red when it appears. Tap the home button again to return to the home screen.
Try resetting:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

As far as I am aware it was January 2009. There isn't anything in the documentation, which confused me for about the first month as I couldn't find the options it mentioned in the documentation in the administration interface.
I only found out about the change in policy after doing a search of these forums.

ITunes LP on Apple TV don't play!

In the explanation on how/what to do...it says:
"With iTunes 9.0.2 and Apple TV software 3.0 you can now play iTunes Extras and iTunes LP content on your Apple TV"
....I can do all except(!) play the music, and see the videos!?! ***!!!
I love using the LP file on my mac, but to use it as a real entertainment on my 46" LCD-tv, no way!

I don't stream iTunes to my Apple Tv, I transfer all my music and vid's permanently. (Wireless with Apple airport extreme)
After Apple got bigger (more users), all feels slower and with more bugs.
Before it was all quality, now there is quantity! Soon all enlightened people will use Linux.

For anyone who is still having problems I seem to have found a solution. I couldn't find any answers online about why the itunes extras/LP wouldn't play correct. I decided to try to just delete them from and re-add them to my library. They all work perfect now on my Apple TV. Just make sure that when you delete them from your library you select the "Keep files" option and when dragging them back to your library you drag all the files over (The movie files and the Iunes Extra file).
