ITunes Last Played time off by 1 Hour

Hi Guyz,
I am on SE Asia Time (GMT+7) and my PC clock is set correctly, but every time I play song in iTUnes, it's Last Played time is off (earlier) by exactly 1 Hour.
Anyone why it's doing that.
Example
Now it's 18:27 and the song will say last played 17:27
Strange
Thanks

Hi Ed2345,
Thanks for taking the time to reply
I just did a "recheck Windows Update" and the only missing (hidden) updates are
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2709981 (Something to do with WMP 12 and DVD)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2592687 (Something to do with RDP 8.0)
and silverlight and language packs
I will keep you informed if the US of A Time change solved my Promprem

  • ITunes "Last Played" Time Stamp issues

    I have a late 2011 Mac Mini running OS X 10.8.2 & iTunes 11.0 (163).
Ever since I did the last update to iTunes, the "Last Played" time stamp has not worked.
In the past, whenever a track finished playing, iTunes would place the time & date in the "Last Played" column. This no longer works.
I just came back from the local Apple Store, & one of the workers there suggested setting the iTunes Preferences supply the time stamp.
When I got home, I went through the preferences, but could not find anything for the "Last Played" time stamp.
    Please help.

Go into iTunes Preferences and turn off crossfade.  Don't ask why it works; do ask apple to fix this bug!

  • Syncopation Bug? Last Played "Time" between two computers

First all: I get NO response from Sonzea email "support", the creator of Syncopation. I've sent two emails over past four days.
    Now.. here's the issue:
I've successfully used Syncopation to keep two iTunes lib's in sync on two computers for a long time. It's always worked great. Hadn't used it for a while, but now when I use it the "time" is off by one hour between Sync software on the two computers.
This manifests itself in two ways:
1.) the "Last Played" time is different by exactly one hour when a sync is done. It is "less" by one hour on the computer being synced (the other being the "master"). After a sync it tells me I need to sync ALL 4023 tracks again because it sees the "Last Played" date different between the two. You can sync repeated and it reports that all EVERY TRACK needs updating- it never thinks it is synced.
2.) BUT, when I reverse the sync and use the OTHER computer/library as the master it tells me the two libs ARE IN SYNC - even when I see that the "Last Played" dates if different by exactly one hour!
I'm running the latest version's of Syncopation and Mac OSX.
Anyone other Syncopation users see this? Ideas? Comments?

I'll just update to mention that I just noticed that the "Remove Duplicates" script isn't actually removing all the duplicates. I'm down from 3-4 copies of everyting to just two, and now I need a way to get rid of this one extra duplicate. Anyone know of any other ways to do this?

  • 8.1 not updating Last Played time/date

Songs are playing normally, but when I check Recently Played it only shows the tracks that played just before installing the update. The Play Count is registering properly, but the time and date played are not.
Also, I'd rather have my old shuffle function back. Genius is an optional function that can be turned off if I choose not to use it and I wish iTunes DJ was the same way.

I'm also no longer getting last played time updated as well as play count not increasing. Also, when I rate a track from the shuffle's list, the rating does not transfer to the original track on disk. This makes manual management of tracks on a shuffle impossible. The play position is also lost.
Apple, this is a critical bug bug, because of loss of data. Please fix it asap.

  • Smart playlists and last played time

If I have a smart playlist, I noticed the last played time of an item does not update if I have launched and played the item from the main area it appears in (like podcasts).
    Any solution for this?
    Thanks.

Normally the Last Played time updates when the song reaches the end. That should be true no matter where it is launched from. Are you seeing something different?

  • IPhone 5 time off by one hour.

I just purchased a new Sprint iPhone 5 last week. This morning I woke up and the clock was off by exactly one hour. I tried turning the phone on and off and resetting it to no avail. Finally I went into settings > date & time and turned on and off the automatic time function and it fixed the problem for about 4 hours; however, just now it reverted to being incorrect. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on? I'm running IOS 6.1.3 which I believe is the most current version.
    Thanks!

It just now went off by an hour again, under the timezone field it says "etc/GMT+6" instead of chicago. I'm thinking this is probably a Sprint problem??

  • [SOLVED] ntpd gives time off by +2 hours

I installed ntpd about a month ago, and it was working fine until this last week. Since then it has been giving times two hours ahead of what it should. My configuration is the same as on the wiki.
In an attempt to figure this out, I've tried changing timezones and have found that they all are +2 hours from what they should be.
Also, when I run ntptime, I receive a couple of errors:
    $ ntptime
    ntp_gettime() returns code 5 (ERROR)
    time cfd37b6b.c1dc614c Mon, Jun 28 2010 13:50:03.757, (.757269810),
maximum error 16000000 us, estimated error 0 us
    ntp_adjtime() returns code 5 (ERROR)
    modes 0x0 (),
    offset 0.000 us, frequency 9.072 ppm, interval 1 s,
maximum error 16000000 us, estimated error 0 us,
    status 0x2041 (PLL,UNSYNC,NANO),
time constant 6, precision 0.001 us, tolerance 500 ppm,
Any ideas as to what's up?
    Edit:
After thinking about it, it looks like ntp isn't connecting with the servers at all? as the ntp_gettime() returns an error. I'm going to try tinkering with the config file and see if that changes anything.
    2nd Edit:
I've tried a number of changes in the config, and it hasn't made any difference. The time is still consistently off by +2 hours.

    @Proofrific: You're awsome: it works!
@3]): Yep. As I stated before, I'd tried several timezones.
@gaunt: I haven't tried pinging the servers, but I have 7 of them in my ntp.conf. I can't imagine that they are all down. I tried the default config, as well as the one in the wiki with no success.
I think the problem with the ntptime might have to do with a kernel update. I'm still at a loss as to why ntpd didn't automatically sync, but I can live with that as I can set my time with ntpdate. I'll just remove ntpd from my daemons list for now. It's not a perfect solution but it's good enough for me, so I'm marking this thread as solved. Thanks for all the help!

  • ITunes Last Played does not update when syncing from iPod

When I synch any of my Ipods, the last played field does not update in Itunes.
If I play the song from Itunes. (11.1.5)  Last Played  works fine.
I tried the crossfade solution, but that did not work. My crossfade was already not selected.
    Any other thoughts?
    Thanks

As if by magic it is now working. I went away from the mac for a couple of hours, came back and it started to work. This is scary as I would expect this kind of action on a Mickysoft machine but not a Mac. Ho Hum - at least the problem has been sorted even if I don't know how.

  • On-the-go for podcasts? and "last played" toggled off?

Why in the world can't I use the ON THE GO feature for podcasts? And when I hook up my iTouch 1st gen. to my G4, the "last played" column seems to be toggled off, can't seem to turn it on... makes weeding already listened to podcasts very frustrating... Tim

I have a 1st gen iPod Touch and I just added podcast entries to my on-the-go playlist. I go into Playlist -> On-the-Go and when I am ready to add, I hit the podcasts icon and select the episodes I want to add to my playlist.
As for the "Last Played" column, I tend to use "Play Count" myself, it is 0 when they have not been played, and >0 if it has...

  • Bug in newest version of iTunes: last played data not updating after songs are played

I just downloaded the newest version of iTunes on my Mac. The "last played" data is not updating automatically after a song has finished playing (even after waiting for a while). Sometimes in the older versions it would take 5-10 second for the data to update automatically, but even after several minutes, "last played" still shows as if the song had not just been played.

    RestonMacGuy wrote:
I did something similar, but not the same: I "played" a few tracks from the iPod (fast-forwarding until about 30 seconds from the end) while the Shuffle was connected to my computer and in iTunes, which then caused the "Last Played" field to be updated.
The next time I connected my Shuffle, the Last Played values were updated.
I bet the Last Played was updated after you stopped playing the tracks...IN FACT. if you were watching your shuffle icon, you might have noticed the rotating thingy to the left of the eject symbol, meaning an update was ongoing.
This will happen AS LONG AS the track has "remember playback position" set.

  • Calendar sync time off by one hour

When I sync my BB Curve 8530, version 5.0, by Verizon with Outlook 2007 calendar, the appointment time is off by one hour.  The BB Curve always shows the appt time one hour later than Outlook.  When I schedule an all day event, it begins at 1 am and carries over to the next day at 1 am.  I've verified time zone settings for both.  Not sure what else to do or check.  Any advice is greatly appreciated so I won't be late again!!!

Update, I now have several accounts that reporting the same issue. Has anyone else seen this?

  • Time off by an hour in Calendar alarms

Experiencing my alarms in Calendar appts off by 1 hour (early). I have checked Settings/General and Settings Mail, Contact, Calendars and they are both set to New York time which should be correct? How do I fix please?

iPhone can't handle time and Calendar and Alarms. It's too stupid.
Apple's Programmers are too stupid. See that thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2469993&tstart=0

  • Daylight saving time off by 1 hour

    Greetings.
There is a java aplication running on my windows XP professional client. It apparently uses one of the java functions to get the date from my client PC. The problem is that the time in the application is off by one hour.
I am in the eastern time zone with daylight savings time checked.
If I uncheck daylight savings time the application time is correct.
I am using the latest JRE which seems to include multiple version's of the java webstart which I can see in the registry.
    Anybody come across this.
    Over and out,

    just use
    java.util.Date now = new java.util.Date();
java.util.TimeZone tz = java.util.TimeZone.getTimeZone("Europe/Berlin"); // adjust for your time zone
    now.setTime(now.getTime() + tz.getDSTSavings());
    and
    new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("HH:mm:ss", java.util.Locale.GERMAN).format(now)
to obtain the formatted time as String.

  • Calendar times off by 1 hour

Updated to new version of iTouch software today.  After process was complete all of my calendar entry times for my corporate email account are off by 1 hour.

Some things you can check to troubleshoot this include:
Go to icloud.com, sign into your iCloud account, click your name at the top and choose Account Settings, click Time Zone and be sure it shows the correct time zone and that you have selected a city near you.  Then open your calendar on icloud.com, click the gear-shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, click the Advanced tab and make sure you have not checked time zone support at the top.
On your iOS devices, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section) and make sure this is set to Off.  If you have a Mac, open the Calendar app and to to Mail>Preferences>Advances and uncheck “Turn on time zone support”.

  • IPhone 3G Email and Calendar times off by one hour (slow one hour)

My times which I send/receive emails or put appointments on the calendar are 1 hour slow as compared to my computers. I have Mobile Me and Mobile Me (on the computer) and my Outlook emails and calendars match and my current time is correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time is correct but the time a email is sent or received and all appointments on the calendar are both off by one hour (one hour slow on the IPhone 3G).
I have set time automatically in "settings" to on, and under "email contacts and calendar" I have time zones disabled. I have tried each possible combination of these settings but cannot get the email/calendar times to match between my computers and the IPhone 3G regardless of how these are set.
I have numerous computers and all times are correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time (the clock) is correct, but times in emails and calendar appointments are all off (slow) by exactly one hour no matter what I do.
Anybody else have this issue, and/or know what the solution might be?
    Thanks
    The Omega

I have tried that and it did not work. I am now trying it with everything set to enable DST, and see if that works. Everything, so far, seems to be in sync. The phone would be right for a second when you went into the calendar and then change to be an hour off. Strange. I think the settings I have now (all, Windows, MobileMe, and the IPhone 3G set to DSL on, the same) may be working. Only time will tell.
    Thank you.
