ITunes latest ask for my ID pw non stop and blocks (help !)
Since a month with the older incarnations of iTunes il asked my ID plus PW at repetition then stops OK.
With the latest version of iTunes (Win 7 Ultima 64 bits) it does the SAME thing but doe snot stop !!
any idea to help me

Summary : iTunes launches correctly; t is the latest version. I am on Win7 6' bits Ultimate.
For a reason that I cannot identify nor solve : iTunes ask and ask non stop for my Apple ID and Passord.
After 10 or 15 times in a row, it accepts for one update, starte dbut not completed (160 pending) then it starts again ID (not even keeps it in memory case check) the idem for the password....NON STOP and it is worse day after day....

Try Cntrl-Alt-Del keys. Opens Task master window. Find processes with Ipod, Quicktime (iqtt...), apple,and on each one 'end process'. Close window. Go to Start, My Cmptr, programs. Find Ipod, quicktime, itunes programs and close each w/right click, delete. Then empty trash, restart. If more than 1 program, like itunes (2), (3), etc close in reverse order. Restart. Good Luck. If there's something you can do to 'thank' Steve Jobs for having such great customer support do so.

when attempting to log into my account on itunes it ask for my password! I put my password in then I get the prompt again asking for my apple password! I put it in again and it still won't take!! I am trying to set up an iTunes account without a credit card. However when I get to the screen that asks for credit card information, 'none' is not an option. According to the instructions on the website, that should be an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I followed the instructions to the letter. But it asks for credit information anyway and 'none' is supposed to be an option when setting up an account 'with no credit card'.
I have two new iphones, the first one set up as expected, where 'none' was an option. Now that I'm attempting to set up the second with different information, there is no 'none', only Mastercard,Visa, AmerX, Discover and Paypal.
My wife is ready to throw hers out the window, help me stop her... -

The credit card security code is a unique three or four digit number printed on the front (American Express) or back (Visa/MasterCard) of your card. -
My itunes is asking for a kind of pasword while I am trying to backup my phone as it lost my contacts after an update of the software yesterday? As I remember i never set a pasword and even if I have one pas for mos of the things but its not working. Why apple have to set a pasword for me, and why the haven't let the chance to reset the pas if forgoten? If someone have any clue how to fix this please let me know.

My sister and I each have an ipod touch. We use the same computer and itunes but each have our own apple id. Everytime I want to update an app on my ipod it asks for my sisters apple id login!? help!
When it asks for another ID on an App Update, it means that the application was purchased under your sister's ID but downloaded to your device from the iTunes library that you share. Even though you both have your own Apple IDs, since you are syncing on the same computer, you are using the same iTunes library.
Whoever purchased the app is forever tied to it, and you can only have one version of a particular app in a single library....
Does that make sense?

Why does iTunes keep asking for my password when I want to listen to my music on my iPhone?
When I want to listen to music on my iPhone, iTunes keeps asking for my password. I am not purchasing anything. It started today. Why is that?
I've been having the same problem on my iPad and iPhone. I talked to Apple customer service this morning. They had me do the following on both devices in the Settings:
* Sign out of iTunes & App Store
* Sign out of FaceTime
* Sign out of Game Center
* Delete iCloud account
They also had me restore my iPad due to some glitchy behavior in the Music app.
Things seemed to me fixed for a few hours until I went into the iTunes Store app on my iPad and added a movie to my Wish List. When I went back to the Music app, the dreaded "Sign In to iTunes Store" popup started showing up again on both devices. Suspicious!
So, I cleared out my Wish List in both the iTunes Store and App Store. I've been poking at the Music app on both my iPhone and iPad since then I haven't seen that popup once since then. I'm not going to declare victory yet since it's only been an hour or two, but I thought that this was worth mentioning. -
Itunes movies wont play on computer, itunes keeps asking for authorisation
The movies in my itunes will not play on my computer. Itunes continaually asks for computer to be authorised, then once authorised it says that the computer is already authorised then asks for authorisation again. Movies will however play on ipad. Any suggestions?

I too have experienced the "blame everything but Apple products/software" indoctrination of the Apple phone support techs!
I have a feeling that iTunes automatically switches encryption on and puts as default a previous iTunes store password but as I don't leave mine the same all the time (and don't feel the need to remember historic passwords that I'm not using to secure anything against) I have no clue what it is.
Good luck trying to get useful advice on here relating to the issue, it will go along the lines of...
1) Its your fault for setting it and forgetting the password,
2) We know everything and theres definately no way iTunes would set backups to encrypt without your knowledge and...
3) Theres no fix for this issue, you might be able to save some of your data, but most will be lost (unless you specifically ask for an iTunes redownload exemption/ token then your purchases could be lost too).

The number pad would not let me type in a 1 2 3 for my 4 digit code. After numerous tries, the phone now says iphone disabled connect to itunes. When I connected to itunes, it asked for the code which I was unable to enter. Help!
Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons on iPhone until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.
