Itunes launches fine however I cannot connect to the Itunes store. It says that Itunes has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution.
Everything seems fine until I try to access the ITunes store. Then I get a message that ITunes has stopped working and that Windows is looking for a solution. Then it tells me that no solution has been found and closes down Itunes.
I can still sync music / podcasts to my ipod and iphone. I am still getting podcast downloads automatically for the ones I have subscribed to.
This is the first time this issue with not being able to access the Itune stores has happened to me. I was just there 2 nights ago.

Please help, after seven uninstall/install porocesses for itunes and after 2 1/2 hours onthe phone to tech support, I am still no further forward. A brand new ipad and ipod and no music onetiher of them.

Let's first try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that help with the iTunes launch errors?

I have iPad 2, iPhone 5s, both with iOS 7.1.2. I use PC with Windows 7 and hard wire internet service and iTunes to update apple products; no wi-fi. I updated iTunes to v11.4 on 09/11/14. I ran Windows update on 09/10/14. I did not try to open iTunes on my PC until yesterday 09/16/14. I got the message: "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I got the same message today. Does anyone know if this is a Windows problem and if a solution is coming or an iTunes problem? I can get iTunes on iPad and iPhone. All other programs PC are working correctly. I use Norton Internet Service on PC. I ran virus scans and repair/reinstall iTunes yesterday on PC.

i like imatch and icloud cause i can keep up with my music easy. lately I authorized my laptop, an HP, so I can play my music on the go. Well for some reason when I open I tunes, imatch automatically tries to update and then i get a message that something has stopped itunes from running, windows will find a solution, program needs to close. i have tried compatiability mode but i get a message saying itunes won't run correctly in compatability mode. tempted to delete the program and reinstall.
i also tried to download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, but that too gives me an error message when i try to run it.
Is that an 800A0046 error, megan?
If so, can you get CleanUp to install if you do a run as administrator, as per the following document?

TS1717 Every time I try to play music, iTunes says that it has stopped working.
Well recently when I try to play music, It says that iTunes has stopped and crashes. Is there a work around for this? I'm on iTunes 10.6 running windows 7 64bit. I have tried moving the prefences folder and making a new account. Please help!

I have a Windows 7 OS 64 bit, ZT desktopcomputer with 16meg memory. I have not been able to install any updates
to itunes to my computer. It downloads, but then when installing, it looks like it is going to complete the install
and then it rolls back and says the errors occured and to try again. I have a win7 64bit HP Laptop that installed
the itune updates with no problem. I have to sync my iphone to my Laptop as it will not work with my desktop.

I would make a copy of the application in some drive, just in case; then disconnect the drive, delete the application (could use FCS Remover to delete everything related).
Then, try installing from the purchases tab in the App Store. -

Downloaded 10.5 iTunes and when I put in an audio book to import into iTunes as soon as I begin typing book info notice appears that iTunes has stopped working and windows 7 closes iTunes. My iPod (first generation) cannot connect to the app store nor iTunes. What can I do so that it can connect and I can install apps or music once more?
