ITunes library is larger then my 60 MB iPod
Is there a way, whereby iTunes can automatically "re-cycle" the songs on my iPod so that eventually I can here them all on my iPod?
What heppens right now is that iTunes automatically creates a playlist based on, what it calls, "our prefernces" (which is basically the number of times a song was played in a descending order)and this playlist is fixed and synced to my iPod. It does not seem to be changing, thus leaving a great number of songs out of my iPod.
Create a Smart Playlist, make the rule to be Limit to 50GB selected by least recently played. Check the live updating box (uncheck the top box) and use "only checked items" if you like. Like so...
With the iPod plugged into iTunes, set it up to update only selected playlists, deselect that one iTunes made and pick this one instead.
I picked 50GB because a "60GB" iPod really only holds about 55+GB so 50 is a good number to give you a little spare room. Make the number smaller if you want to have other stuff on the iPod like videos. Or make it larger if you want to cram it full.
Anyway, the idea is as you listen to music on the iPod, when you re-update to your computer, those now recently played songs get removed from the playlist and replaced with other songs that have been longest since they last played. Eventually you will work through all your songs and they start to reappear, but that can take a long time.

hello i purchased a movie recently and it shows in my Itunes library but will not transfer to my ipod. It has the Icloud icon in the top right hand corner of the cover and if i click on play it starts to download from Icloud again and it does this each time i wish to play it, the same now happens to all my purcased movies which of course uses additional ISP download allowance. Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

I accidentally dropped my iPod Classic 160 GB into the toilet
bowl of my home sometime ago, and unfortunately enough,
as misfortunes seldom come singly, I got a serious problem
with my computer ( an HP Desktop) and had to do the system
recovery which, as you know, removes everything in the system
drive. After having reinstalled iTunes, I thought I should be able
to listen to the music I kept in the Library of iTunes, but I don't
see any of my music/songs or movies there. Thus come my
three questions below:
1) How can I locate and enjoy the music or movies I saved in
the iTunes Library with a computer after its system recovery
or even a new computer?
2) Like the current situation I'm in, when my iPod is damaged
or lost, can I still enjoy the music or movies saved in the
iTunes Library from my computer ( meaning without an iPod)
if I have the iTunes application installed in it? How? Do I have
to sign in my account? Sign in with my e-mail address saved
in my account? Where can I find the sign-in webpage of iTunes?
(Please provide me with the related link of the webpage.)
3) The above issue brings up another question, are the music/songs
and movies as well as other programs in the iTunes Library saved
in my computer or in Apple's server?

Lawrence WoodSystem Recovery generally assumes you have backed up your data somewhere first. If not, you're in trouble.
Depending on your region you can recover most of your previous iTunes purchases. Install iTunes. Use Store > Authorize This Computer... and Store > Sign In... then select iTunes Store in the left-hand column and click Purchased in the Quick Links section on the right. You should now be looking at a list of past purchases that you can download to your computer.

Your purchase history is preserved on Apple's servers. Anything you ripped from CD or downloaded from elsewhere was stored on your computer and should have been backed up.

I purchased an audio book from iTunes store. It successfully downloaded to my iTunes library< but will not upload to my ipod Touch, even though my computer is authorized. Any suggestions? Any and all are greatly appreciated.
If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.

Ever since I bought my ipod touch 4th generation, IOS 4G, 8GB in January 2011, it would not sync selected playlists.
This is even when I have checked 3 things:
1. Under Summary/Options, I've checked "Manually manage music and videos" and "sync only checked songs and video."
2. When I go to the Music tab and attempt to sync, I have already chosen "selected playlists, artists, albums and genres"
3. When I click on "Sync" a window comes up and says "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPod will be removed and replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library."
Do I have a defective ipod?
5Red5Sync should be an automatic feature that can be triggered manually. Although, I have a two Shuffles, which are obviously not Touches, so they might be different.
If you have your iPod set to manually manage music, the option to sync only checked songs should not do anything. You have to drag songs manually to the iPod on the sidebar to add music (I've created playlists of only songs I want, then I shift-click the whole thing and drag all of the songs at once to update them, that way I don't have to remember what goes where), and you have to manually select and delete songs from the iPod's 'Music' library on the sidebar to remove them.
As for syncing the files, on my shuffles, they sync individual songs (for Get Info information changes ONLY) automatically every time I plug them into iTunes, and again if I make any changes to the Get Info stuff while they're plugged in. For example, if I added a song to my iPod playlist, it wouldn't sync it, but if I changed the genre of a song that's already on it, it will automatically sync.

I have created another iTunes library (so I have 1 for an ipod touch and a separate 1 for an iPad), but the apps from the iPad appear in both libraries. How can I stop this so the 2 libraries are completely separate? Thanks
You don't need two separate libraries to manage two devices.
I suspect the reason that the apps are appearing in both libraries is that you have enabled automatic downloads in iTunes and automatic syncing of apps so that all your purchases end up in both libraries, defeating your original aim.
Why not use a single library and make playlists for the media content you want on each device? Disable Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Apps on each device, then connect each device in turn and turn off Automatically Sync Apps on the Apps page.
You can now manage your devices independently, while only having to manage the content of one iTunes library, instead of two.

Why can't I sync my iTunes Library from my second laptop to my iPod?
I just synced my iPod to my iTunes library on my OLD laptop and then used Home Sharing to import that content to my new laptop.
Then, I tried syncing my iTunes Library from my new laptop to my iPod and it said " This will delete all old music, videos & movies from your iPod and replace it with your iTunes Library" wich is exactly what I wanna do! So I clicked continue and it started syncing...
During the middle of the process a pop up appears and says " Your iTunes LIbrary cannot be synced to your iPod because there is not enough room on your iPod (additionaly 2.33GB required) "
But I thought it would erase my songs from my ipod ( approximately 2.40GBs) and replace it with the new ones from my library (2.33GB) ???? Why didn't it? What can I do to have my iTunes Library from my new laptop to my iPod Touch?
( I want my iPod to be able to sync anytime to my new computer because I'm getting rid of the old one.)

I purchased a new iMac, I have an old iPod mini I am trying to sync my iTunes library on my new Mac with my iPod. I purchsed additional music yesterday but I cannot get it to sync to load the music from my computer to my iPod.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -
I was trying to add an itunes library to my computer, and now my itunes library can not be found. An ipod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. How can I find my Itunes library, complete with playlists ?

The ipod 'harms ipod' is synced with another itunes library.Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library? An ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replace the contents of this ipod with the contents of this itunes library.
I don't know what to do? I should save my library before I replace the contents, but I don't know how to do that! I had a hard drive blow out and lost my itunes library. Now when I connect my ipod itunes tells me it is not sync'd. I am not permited to delete or add any songs. I do not want to loose my ipod songs if I reset. Any ideas? Thanks.

IDVD-problem seeing file content
After Publishing project to media browser, when viewing published files in IDVD the file goes from black to a white screen (bottom to top wipe-up) and contains none of the text (casting information) that starts my movie. I've republished to no avail.
