ITunes library not arranging songs in order

Hi, I was wondering, on my PC, iTunes is not arranging the songs in one particular album in the correct order. (ie. like in the track order on my actual CD.)
I have tried adding them to the library again, I checked that all of the tracks have a number, and tried telling itunes that they are all one compilation.
I have just run out of ways to try to fix this..
Or is it just that iTunes isn't as good on PC?
any help would be great!!

I'm having the same issue.
All of those tags you just mentioned are correct -
artist is the correct artist for each track
album artist is the same for all tracks
album is the same for each track from each album
track is correct on every track, none of them have an 'of x' set
no disk numbers are set on any tracks
all tracks are marked 'yes' for compilation
yet the tracks still refuse to go into the correct order.
I have several albums, all tagged as above, with the same 'album artist' as each other. Not only do they not sort by track number, but they won't even sort by album.
I want them to be sorted by 'album artist', then by 'album', then by 'track number'. But if I sort by 'album artist', the next tag iTunes sorts them by is 'artist'. Which results in this ( http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l249/hengler/itunessort.jpg ) rather horrible mess of a sort-order. I've tried (repeatedly) removing and re-adding to my library, but it doesn't make a difference, and as far as I can see all of my tag data fields are correct.
I also have one or two albums where almost everything's fine, but one or two tracks refuse to go into the right order. i.e. 'Juicebox' from First Impressions of Earth by The Strokes is the last track on the album. It doesn't matter what I do, or how many times I change track numbers, every other track will sort properly and they re-order themselves when I change the track number, apart from this one song which has to stay at the end. There's at least one other song which does that for me, also, though I can't remember which.
Edit:
Clicking the 'album' column to sort by 'album by artist' fixed this, for some reason. Not very intuitive at all. Although Juicebox is now insisting it's the first track on the album (I'm pretty sure it used to be the last, maybe I remember that wrongly. Either way, it's supposed to be track 2 but it refuses to accept that)
