ITunes list in My Documents

I'm so excited! This is the first time I have posted a question. I hope I know how to do it right. Yes, I have read related articles. Here is my question.
After having received my daily podcast for several months, I accidentally discovered that the list in iTunes was also being posted in My Documents in a folder called My Music. It automatically created folders and sub-folders, etc. It seems like a waste of computer space to have the list twice. I am always afraid to delete anything. I don't want to lose any of my past radio shows. There are more than two years worth. My question is whether I can delete one list without both lists disappearing. Can I delete the several thousand shows in iTunes, but still have them remain in My Documents if I want to go pull any of them back to hear again? Thank you!

Thank you for your answer. Let me verify what you said to be sure I understand. It sounds like I should definitely not delete what is in My Documents. I'm not real informed on jargon, so I want to be sure I understand that you mean I should also not delete the list that appears on the iTunes page. Is that correct? Thank you for your patience.
I'm so new at this, it took me a long time to find where to look for replies to my question. Glad I found yours.

  • Removing files from the iTunes list of Pages documents

I frequently transfer document files to my iPad for Pages from iTunes, and the file list is becoming large and cumbersome. Is there any way to delete documents from the Pages file share list in iTunes? Scrolling to bring a new document into Pages is becoming ridiculous. I'd love to remove files I'm no longer interested in sharing from that list.

  • TS1424 I downloaded an album, but most of the songs are incomplete.  The itunes list shows the appropriate song length, but the actual songs are not completely downloaded - meaning it does not give me the option of finishing the download.

I purchased a complete album, but most songs are only about a minute in duration rather than their actual lengths.  The times showing indicate the full song was downloaded, but in reality, its like listening to a sample.  I want to get entire songs, but the itunes list shows it as downloaded, so it does not seem to give me the option to download again.  I sure would like to get what I paid for.  Any suggestions?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • I downloaded a WMA audiobook from library using Overdrive. It shows up on my Itunes listing of Audiobooks on my Ipod, but on the actual Ipod it only shows up on Playlists. How do I get it to show up under Audiobooks?

I downloaded a WMA audiobook from library using Overdrive. It shows up on my Itunes listing of Audiobooks on my Ipod, but on the actual Ipod it only shows up on Playlists.  It is marked as an audiobook in Options | Media Kind.  It is also marked to Remeber Position, but it does not do that. How do I get it to show up under Audiobooks and remember the position?  I have a 4th Gen Ipod running Ios5

Check out the instructions for a work around on this post: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18702732#18702732
This worked for me.  I would like to see Apple fix this issue, as it isn't very fun to have to do this for every downloaded book.

  • After moving files out of the iTunes library they still show in the iTunes list

I am archiving movies out of my iTunes library.  I have moved the files from the iTunes media folder and into another folder but the movies still show up in the iTunes movie list in the main iTunes window.  I am sure there is some kind of link to the file but do I need to break that somehow or can I refresh the iTunes list so it will see that the files are no longer in the media folder?

An easier way is to simply drag movies/songs from the iTunes window to where you want.
    Then delete it in iTunes.

When you add files to iTunes, it adds them to the iTunes library database file and this is what is displayed in iTunes.
I f you remove the file from its location, iTunes will not know until you try to access it in iTunes. It will then show an exclamation mark if it cannot find that file.

  • Problem with Pages.  I have recently been unable to open Pages, or any documents from Pages on my iMac.  Pages seems to be in the Cloud and can open a list of the documents in Pages, but can't open any of those documents.

Recently unable to open Pages or any documents therein.  It seems to be stuck in the Cloud.  Although I can open a list of the documents I can not open any of the documents.

The answer is simple...  If you want to remedy this, then don't save them as PDFs.
Word opens Word and text documents.  Not PDFs.

i have a new iphone5 and would like to have my own itunes list away from the familys itune list?
i have now got my own apple id account but where do i go from here?
    thanks danny.

The user data is store in the profile folder. You can copy the data manually by copying the contents of the profile folder, for details see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup Profile backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base] or [[Backing up your information]].
There are some add-ons and utilities that can make this process easier. The first one is the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109/ FEBE] add-on which can be used to copy a profile. Another option is the free [http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ MozBackup] utility.

  • How can I remove multiple copies of the same song from the iTunes listing?

How can I remove multiple copies of the same song from the iTunes listing. The program seems to be picking up the same songs from, for example, my user area and my public area in the C drive

As above, Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library, however it is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created.  If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve/merge ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed)

  • Is there a way to add an existing distribution list to a document?

i created a distribution list with CVI1 and i am trying to add it to a document, NOT via the distribution list but from the document itself.
via the "environment" menu, I can create a new list or change a list in which the document is already written in: but i cannot add an existing list from the document.
    any idea?

    i am aware  of that: that i why i asked this question. i need to upload distribution lists to be added to documents and i did not find a way to add the documents to the list (cvi2) in a recording: the amount of document i can add is limited to the amount of lines i see on the screen;
my final goal is to add existing lists to documents or documents to lists, via upload (excel sheet or txt file) LSMW or other methods!
any idea is welcome: i have searched and not found solutions

After "Restoring iTunes Library backup" it wont link to the files in the iTunes folder. I've followed the procedure as described, and the iTunes folder is in the correct location. iTunes lists all my music correctly (albeit with no artwork), but can't locate any of the files.
I've been restoring my iTunes folder from a backup hard drive to a new computer on which I've downloaded the latest iTunes (10.7). If this is a newer version than the one I backed up with could this be the problem? (I had the latest (to my knowledge) iTunes when I backed up the folder about 3 weeks ago, was this version 10.7?)
Or is the version of iTunes (within recent updates) not an issue when restoring a library?
    Using Windows 7.
    Any help please?

From the top of the page where the scripts live...
The general method of use is to download the script to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. If no specific tracks are selected the script will try to work with all tracks in the current playlist. Some scripts offer a choice of track by track confirmation of changes or fully automatic processing of the selection. Many of the scripts can optionally display a progress bar while running.
You are strongly advised to backup your entire library, or at the very least the iTunes Library.itl file, before use. Test the behaviour of your chosen script on a small group of files first to make sure it does what you want before applying it to large numbers of files.
Most builds of Windows will execute *.vbs scripts when you double-click them. If that doesn't happen then you might need to visit the Add/Remove Programs or Programs & Features control panel to enable the Windows Scripting Host. I can track down details if you have issues.
Backing up and restoring data is an area that is often glossed over. Most people don't try to learn much about it until they've lost something important. (Me too )
If your iTunes library was in the usual layout then normally copying the whole iTunes folder from the User's Music folder in the old computer to the User's Music folder in the new one will usually work fine. Ideally this is done before iTunes is installed so that there is no empty library to replace, and all settings are picked up from the old library. This post contains more details.

  • I bought a movie and it is not on my iTunes list

I don't know where to post this...I purchased a movie on my iPad and it is not showing up on my iPad, iTunes list. Anywhere. How can I access my purchase history?

What did you buy it on, and where are you looking for your other purchased songs ? If you've just bought the song on your phone then it should be in the phone's Music app. If you bought it on your computer's iTunes then have you tried syncing it to your phone or are you able to redownload it (and your past music purchases) via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on it (music can't be redownloaded in all countries) ?

  • FM for List of Material Documents

    Hello,
Is there an FM for getting the list of Material Documents (like MB51)?
    Thanks.

In SAP standard program RM07DOCS(MB51), there is no standard FM to fetch it, but you can check in these subroutines: DATA_SELECTION, DATA_SELECTION, DATA_SELECTION_VIA_MATNR, DATA_SELECTION_VIA_BUDAT.
These 3 subroutines fetch the data from MKPF(Mat. doc header) and MSEG (Mat. doc item).
To read the mat. doc from the archive, check out the subroutine SHORTDOCUMENT_READ. The table is MARI.
You might be interested to check FM MB_MATDOC_ARRAY_READ as well.
    Thanks & best regards,

  • Malerial List With DMS document attached to it

    Hi
Can any one have idea from where i can get Material list to which Documents are attached.

    Hello,
In standard system, It is not possible to print attachment via the message output. Please refer Question 30 of attached
    note 457497.
457497 FAQ: Message processing in purchasing
"Can documents that are linked to a purchase order also be output in the message output? " And the answer is: No."
There is no posibility to print attached documents from ME9F. Printing the PO from ME9F and print the document from ME22N by
selecting the document and pressing print button. You will only be able to see the screen linked documents when an item in the po (or position) has been selected.
