Itunes locks after 6 seconds while trying to play certain audio cd's

When I try and play certain audio cd's, my itunes locks, which completely locks my pc. I've tried all of the help topics and nothing works. I've spent hours trying to fix this. I have the current version of itunes. I have used itunes for years and the problem just started recently. Please help

IPod resets itself while trying to play certain songs.

For no specific reason, this has only happened so far with audio from my "Comedy" playlist. Either this is coincidental or my iPod lacks a sense of humor. Please let it be the former.
Anyway, when this occurs it takes me to the silvery Apple logo screen and the iPod resets. However, it only happens when I start to play the file. If I go through the list hitting the next button while on pause, there's no problem.
Two questions:
1) Has anyone else encountered this?
2) Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to correct it?
As a side note, this also happened with my old monochromatic 20GB 4G iPod, but that issue was more randomly initiated, and was probably due to its failing battery.

This has been asked and answered a couple of times and I think that the same answer should help you out.
Seems like you're a victim of the 1.2 firmware bug. It's causing mp3 mono tracks (which I could very much believe some comedy routines would be encoded as) to reset your iPod. the only workaround at the moment seems to be to set your EQ to OFF (under Settings > EQ > OFF). That seems to work for some people.
Your other option is to try and reencode your tracks so they're not mono-mp3.

ITunes crashes after 5 Seconds.

I have some serious Problems with my Power PC G5. I had updated my iTunes to Version 7.0 . After the Update, my iTunes has started a scan. After a few songs he crashed. I asked in another forum and they said I should :
-Rename the "iTunes" folder in "Music"-Folder.
-Start iTunes, and then go to Options and turn off the Gapless Playback Option.
-Then I had to rename the "backup" folder back to "iTunes"
But then, I restarted iTunes. After 3 Seconds it crashes with the Rainbow-Color Mouse. I can`t do anything at all against it.
So, what is my problem ? Should I reinstall iTunes, when yes, how ?

When it crashes is it doing something (looking for album art/gapless playback) or is just doing nothing? Either way I'd open iTunes and leave it on overnight even if it looks frozen (beach ball) it'll most likely continue after a few hours, at least that's been my experience.

IPad 1 returns to home page within 2 seconds of trying to open certain apps

Hi, we are having trouble with our iPad 1 'dropping out' after 1 or 2 seconds when trying to access certain apps. I thought it might have had something to do with those that required access to internet as it was first noticed on Mail and Facebook as well as safari, however we cannot even access our settings page as it drops out almost immediately. It did this once before a couple of weeks ago, but came right by itself after about a half a day and playing some of the apps that did come up, but this time it has been basically useless other than for playing music and kids games since friday. Any suggestions as to what might be a fix for this or is this a sign that this iPad needs retiring? Thanks

Try restarting your iPad.
Hold the Power/Lock button down until the red slider appears, then slide it to shut down the iPad. After 5-10 seconds, press and hold the Power/Lock button down until the device powers back on again.
Once the device starts up again, try using the apps that crashed frequently before.

Error message while trying to play rented moves on Apple TV

I keep getting an error message while trying to play my rented movies. I have rebooted the Apple TV. Lowered the resolution. Restated my modem . Rest my Apple TV. Soft rebooted it and it plays all Netflix and previews in HD no problem just not the movies I have rented !! Extremely frustrated regretting my purchase extremely!! About ready to boycott!

Update the plugin or delete it.
Kontakt 4 is a 32 bit plugin, it won't run in Logic Pro X

It is supposed to be dark.
Is it all videos that don't display or just some. You may have installed something like Perian or Flip for Mac that translates the video codecs for Quicktime. They may need updating.

ITunes freezes after 30 seconds

No matter what I do on my computer, my iTunes automatically freezes after 30 seconds of opening. How can I fix this? Because I can't even buy music or sync my iPod.

In order to see your device in iTunes you may just need to select the option to have the Sidebar shown, something that by default is not displayed. This is where Devices and other items are displayed that you may be trying to locate.

Help - Itune crash while trying to play purchased video

Itunes will freeze or crash anytime I try to play a tv show or movie purchased off of Itunes. I noticed I'm not the only person with the problem. Maybe Apple can try and fix the problem for its customers ??
I have intalled all the latest drivers and reinstalled Itunes and maniplated Quicktime - I think apple now needs to stop accusing the customers and fix the itunes software -

Okay. let's first try uninstalling and reinstalling your QuickTime. We'll also take a few other explicit precautions, just in case. Best to print out a copy of these instructions, because at one stage of proceedings you won't be able to use a web browser.
Preliminaries
Download and save a copy of the QuickTimeInstaller.exe file from the Apple Website. (Don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet. get the installer that doesn't mention iTunes.)

*Uninstall phase*
Head into your Uninstall a program control panel and uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we'll remove any leftover program files and folders.
In Computer, open your C drive.
Open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
Right-click on the "QuickTime" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Go back into your C drive (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "SysWOW64" folder.
Right-click on the "QuickTime" file (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Right-click on the "QuickTimeVR" file (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Empty your recycle bin.
*Reinstall phase*
Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the reinstall by doubleclicking the QuickTimeInstaller.exe file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to the internet and/or your network.
Does the QuickTime reinstall seem to go through smoothly? If so, try launching iTunes again and trying to play one of the affected videos. Do you still get the same iTunes error, or are the files playing properly now?

While trying to import an audio CD, I get an error message, "you don't have the privilege to make changes"

I'm trying to import an audio CD into iTunes, but I keep getting a message saying, "Error occurred while converting the file . . . You do not have the privilege to make changes." I've tried selecting all the different encoders, WAV, MP3 and AAC, and still nothing works. I would appreciate the help.

ITunes shows time out error when trying to play on Airport Express.

Time out error when trying to play on Airport Express. This started with an iTunes update, problems has to be with iTunes, Airport Express appears to be communicating fine, even shows when speakers are not connected.

Same here, though on XP. Have tried cleaning registry, reinstalling, deleting preferences. Created a new user with no library and I have the problem there, too, so it's not the library.
Is there no one to call about this??

I am trying to play World of Warcraft on my Asus N55SF laptop but if I try to run WoW with optirun the game crashes.
System Spec:
Asus N55SF-1232V
Intel Core i7 2670QM

If i run

everything is fine, but as soon as I enter it like this
