Itunes locks up in Windows XP with Iphone  HELP!!!!

Hi,
I recently started having a problem with Itunes 7.5 locking up when I try to sync photos to my iphone. It will not release no matter how long I wait. I have to ctrl/alt/delete to free the system. This happens all the time but only on one computer. Any ideas.

kennethfouch,
Does the same thing happen when you sync only photos (no other info)?
If so, try creating a new user account and syncing the same photos. If the issue persists, try syncing a different batch of photos. If the second batch of photos sync, then there is an issue with one or more of the pictures you are trying to sync. If it will not even sync the second batch of photos, try some of the system-wide troubleshooting in this article:

Hope this helps,

I've installed windows 7 with the help of bootcamp on my macbook pro 2011.
Please help me how to install mac drivers for windows7 64 bit???

You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows
After installing Windows, install Mac-specific drivers and other software for Windows using your Mac OS X installation disc.  The Mac OS X disc installs drivers to support Mac components, including AirPort,built-in iSight camera, the Apple Remote, the trackpad on a portable Mac, and thefunction keys on an Apple keyboard.
The Mac OS X disc also installs the Boot Camp control panel for Windows and theApple Boot Camp system tray item.
To install the Boot Camp drivers:
1 Eject the Windows installation disc.
2 Insert the Mac OS X disc.  If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
    3 Follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
Windows that appear only briefly during the installation don’t require your input.
If nothing appears to be happening, there may be a hidden window that you mustrespond to. Check the taskbar and look behind open windows.
Important: Do not click the Cancel button in any of the installer dialogs.
4 After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware  Wizard to update your software drivers (Windows XP only).
5 Follow the instructions for any other wizards that appear.
6 Check for updated Boot Camp drivers by using Apple Software Update or going to www.apple.com/support/bootcamp.
If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.
    To repair Boot Camp drivers:
1 Start up your computer in Windows.
2 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc.
3 If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
4 Click Repair and follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
If you need to reinstall specific drivers, you can install one driver at a time. For example,if your built-in iSight camera isn’t working, you can reinstall just the iSight driver.
Individual drivers are in the Drivers folder on the Mac OS X installation disc.

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me with a solution to my itunes crashing during every syncing process. • Itunes 11 crashing when apps sync with iPhone 5

After reading several related forums, I am experiencing the crashing of Itunes 11 when synching to my new iPhone 5. I upgraded from the iPhone 4 without problems but now cannot sync with Itunes 11. I am running Mac OS X 10.8.2 on an 8gb Macbook Pro Late 2008 Unibody with 500 GB HD. I made sure to repair and verify and subsequently repair disk permissions.
When trying to sync apps my Itunes 11 crashes (in the 7/7 phase of synching). When I install from the Itunes app store, no crashing for the app. I had Itunes 10.7.2 and it did not crash.
When I de-select the apps from my library to be removed, all other content syncs well. It seems that apps stored on my Mac do not sync and cause Itunes 11 to crash.
After eliminating other possibilities, it appears that Itunes 11 has a bug. This begs for a fix (11.1) very soon. I will have to do app updates through my Iphone 5 until this fix is made.
Am I missing something here that needs fixing? My Itunes app library was in great shape and I do backup my ITunes library ever 6-12 months and have regular Time Machine backups...

I finally found several errors that may all help you who may have the same problem. While each of these steps may or many not help you, here is what I did to achieve a resolution. I will provide the logic as much as I can.
    1. The problem is as above, unchange
Step 1: I made sure that my Mac (late 2008 unibody, running Mac OS X 10.8.2 with all recent updates) was infact working well. I verified and repaired permissions as well as verified and repaired my HD.
Step 2: I went through my iTunes app library and eliminated duplicates as well as apps that 'hung' (apps that would be updated but never leave the update screen- somehow these apps are duplicated- delete one of these to clean up your app update screen.
Step 3: Check for operating mode. You most likely need to run iTunes 11 on Mac OS X Mountain Lion (and possibly Lion) in 64 bit mode. Close iTunes and open your Applications folder. There select iTunes 11 and under the file menu- select Get info. See if your iTunes is running in 32 bit mode*. Uncheck this if 32 bit mode is selected. Close the window and restart Itunes. Try synching with your iPhone or Ipod (touch). This may work.
*Step 4: If you have 32 bit mode checked, think back to if you installed 3rd party plugins. I realized I have a legacy plugin for iToner that forced iTunes 11 to jump back from 32 bit and 64 bit modes. Check your iTunes plugins and either delete or backup/delete plugins.
After doing all this, my iTunes 11 and iPhone 5 started synching again.
I hope this helps. Whenever there are problems in upgrades, check 3rd party plugins! Check that folder to jog your memory!

  • Why cannot iTunes sync movies from iPhoto taken with iPhone

I take little movies with iPhone. (5Mb)
iPhoto copies then to the Mac with the Photos.
    Movie plays in iPhoto.
In iTunes I say Sync event and tick include videos on. The movies are not copied back to the iPhone.
Checked in iPhoto, event says 18 items (17 are photos one is the movie MOV04391.MPG)
In iTunes > Photos tab. the event only shows 17 items.
    Thanks in anticipation...

Try launching iPhoto while holding Option, to create an alternate iPhoto library that you can test with. You can always switch back to the original iPhoto library launching iPhoto while holding Option again.
If it works in the new test library, you'll probably want to switch back to the main library and then rebuild it by holding down the Command and Option keys when launching iPhoto.
Also, when you email photos from the iPhone you should see an option to email as actual size, along with the compressed options.
    WTH.

  • ITunes wont sync any features/updates with iPhone

Hi - I'm sure this is more of a software or iTunes question but whenever I connect my iPhone to my computer, iTunes for some reason won't sync at all with my iPhone. I noticed this when I had the iPhone5 and recently upgraded to an iPhone6. I tried importing music and photos but it will just not work. I also tried checking sync w/ wifi and sync selected songs and photos only, but it won't even go as far as saving those settings on my iPhone. My iTunes indicates that it is syncing for about 1 second and then it'll go back to normal like nothing happened. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! By the way I am currently running mac os x version 10.6.8. My laptop is a little outdated and won't let me update iTunes or my software to a more recent version. Unless I'm being naive and missing something else here.
    Thanks again,
    Gerardo

I was able to fix a problem where iTunes 12.01 would not recognize my iPhone or iPad but the device WAS recognized in iPhoto.
Another website gave me the hint to download and re-install iTunes.  I did this and it worked.  (I also restarted both the Mac and iPhone and iPad afterward for good measure).
Here is the URL for download:

  • ITunes keeps freezing during a sync with IPhone 3Gs?

I have repeated issue with ITunes syncing with my IPhone.  It keeps freezing while backing up the data.  I know there is an order to uninstall and reinstall the components of ITunes but I cannot find what it is.  Can you help?

Check this thread out -> iTunes Crashes while selecting 'include video' in Sync Photos
Try unchecking the "Include Videos" option on the Photos tab in iTunes. You can workaround the issue by adding the videos to your iTunes library and syncing them along with movies and TV shows.

  • Itunes error message on Windows 8 system (PLEASE HELP!!)

I am unable to install itunes on my new HP computer with windows 8? Each time i try and install it an error message pops up ""The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your personnel for assistance."
I have tryed the most common solution found throughout the community of opening 'regedit' and searching for WOW64 but it does not appear in msiserver.
I have been trying to solve this for a number of weeks but cannot find a solution online, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

turingtest2 i have finally solved the issue thank for the help. • ITunes Locking Up When I Sync My iPhone

When syncing my iphone it starts backing it up and gets to where its syncing my mail accts.
A window pops up that says Adding Files: Processing: 20091206 204451 9.m4a
From there my Sh@t is just locked up!! any help is appreciated

    Interesting... Go here:
    My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Voice Memos
I found like 4-5 copies of each voice memo! I didn't do anything with them, but I did the hard reset people mentioned, hitting the home button and sleep button and it did sync without the error. I'm not sure though that it's saveing the new ones?

  • Freeing HD space from iTunes without losing content during Sync with iPhone

    Hey, Y'all!
This is probably a common question — but I had some trouble finding a specific answer by a few attempts at searching. So please forgive any redundancy...
I desperately need to free HD capacity on my MacBook Pro, and parts of my iTunes Library would make good candidates. The entire home/Music folder is already backed-up to an ext. HD (more than 1x).
But I'd prefer to NOT lose whatever I delete from my MacBook Pro's HD when I sync with my iPhone 3Gs and my son's iPod Touch. Both devices have plenty of capacity for what they're holding currently.
How do I set up sync parameters to accomplish this using, e.g., the Music and Videos tabs in the iTunes interface with these devices? And when — do I alter these settings "before" doing the removals from my HD? The answers may be obvious, but unfortunately not to me.
Hope I've made sense in stating my questions. I'm using iTunes 8.2.1 (6) if that's a factor in this...
