ITunes looks like it's working, but won't play a thing - NOTHING

I don't have the same issues as others on here. I updated to iTunes 7.0.2 a ways back but only today did I update my iPod Nano (1st gen.) to the updated firmware. I then had to restore my iPod Nano and it luckily reloaded all my music from my library so that I am up and running again. This problem is iTunes only. I can't play anything in my library on my computer. It doesn't even show that the song is playing (read, it's not an audio setting problem at all) but it does NOTHING. It's very odd and I made sure that iTunes is my default player, etc. I am currently downloading an updated DirectX (but not even sure if I had an older version) version from MS, but not sure what that has to do with it. Any thoughts? This is very strange unlike my prior problems when last summer I experienced the correct ipod and had those software update issues.

Well, after 2 complete reboots it IS working again. When in doubt, reboot!
Maybe the DirectX fixed it but I'm not sure.

    My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
    Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

    We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
    You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE!  After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

    how, set omistaja in (select....) will slove this issue...????
    The subquery will always return more than one record if genowner table contains different objectid.
    The solution for this issue is as follows :
    1) Use where clause in the inner subquery and for the update statement like

  • HT5622 I want to use free apps on my Ipad and do NOT wish to submit a credit card to Itunes.  My Apple Id works, but won't let me migrate past the credit card phase in itunes.  I don't wish to sumbit or use a credit card because I will not make purchases.

    I want to use free apps on Ipad 2, but it continually asks me to submit a credit card in Itunes.  I do not wish to purchase anything apps or music.  I am only interested in free apps.  If I were to make purchases, I would use a prepaid card like an itunes card or an app card, but NEVER a credit card.  I can't seem to bypass this option of using a credit card and need to.  I have another Ipad 4 and have never needed to use my credit card to migrate past itunes to use any apps.  How do I get past this credit card request and still use my ipad 2.  According to my Ipad 2, if I don't plug in a credit card, I can't even use free apps which is stupid.

    You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
    1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
    2. Go to App Store and select a free app
    3. Tap INSTALL APP
    4. Create New Apple ID
    5. Confirm Your Country
    6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
    7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
    8. Create and answer your secret question
    9. Select NONE for Payment Method
    10. Fill in Billing Address
    11. Submit application for new Apple ID
    12. Wait for verification email
    13. When email arrive, verify your account
    14. Start downloading your free apps

  • Itunes Match Songs are all there but won't play

    I've been using iTunes Match at work pretty regulary and I've notived that, seemingly randomly, I'll open iTunes and all my music will be there... however doub;e-clicking a song or or hitting PLAY does nothing.  No error message; no nothing.  Th ePLAY button is isn't ghosted or anything.
    I've tried goifn Store . Update iTunes Match.  That doesn't work.  The only thing that seems to work is turning match completely off and then back on again.
    Any idea why this would be happening?

    Well the odd thing is that everything works perfectly fine most of the time.  However, 10% of te time, Match enterest his stange state where songs won't play.  Nothing changes in the iCloud Status field.  You can even edit metadata like rating and song-names.  Songs just won't play... nor will they download.
    Based on the above, I don't think it's a corportate firewall issue  (neither does my IT guy).

  • I recently found my Ipod touch 1st generation and was trying to erase all the content on the ipod.  It now won't turn on at all, it looks like it is working but it just never goes to the homescreen.  any ideas?

    I have tried connecting it to the computer and that doesn't seem to work either.  At this point I do not know what else to do.  Can anyone help me get this Ipod touch fixed?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    It appears to be working b ut never actually burns the disk and hangs on the last step.
    I have set DMA, updated the drivers, removed and reinstalled device.

    Im not sure if you have the latest firmware or not, I went to the MSI site and found a "Max" and "Neo" of your model, you will have to go and look.
    Usually the -128 error denoted at the bottom of the diagnostics means either the user canceled the burn or iTUnes itsself canceled the burn due to some other program interfering. Most the time the number one program that will interfer is some antivirus or security program, so try disabling them or shutting them down id possiable.

    Got 1.9 yesterday and tried to conecet two different esata hard drives. Both appeared to go through the recognition step but after reboot the drives do not show up. Anyone else had trouble with this? Getting various opinions from different fios people whether the external hard drive is even supported in 1.9.

    Your iPod has dropped into Recovery mode. You'll need to restore it via iTunes on your computer.

    This worked for me when I ran into the same issue (can scroll through rented movie but can't play it).  Just switch iTunes to the MiniPlayer (in the Window menu) and then back to the normal player.  Apparently, you may need to do this a few times. It sounds odd (and I didn't really expect it to work), but it fixed the problem for me.

    I have starter 3.0 and cannot share pictures via outlook express. Evidently that version is discontinued and my outlook express does not support the MAPI that is required. I think the only solution is to upgrade to photoshop
    elements or to send photos as attachment to your e-mail.  I have the same problem using Zoom Browser EX sending photos via internet. I spent a whole day trying to resove this issue and have exhausted all options. Just like "Instant share" in HP image Zone that was replace by photoshop album starter 3.0 and now it is out dated.
