ITunes Lost my Purchased

I had just recently bought some songs on iTunes, put them on my ipod and everything was fine. Then some other day, I opened iTunes and all of my music was gone. I had to import all of my songs from my external hard drive back on to itunes. Now i can't view the somgs that i recently purchased. What do i do???

Hi Mike Man
Since your purchased songs are on iTunes you can transfer them back to iTunes by going File >> Transfer Purchases.
There maybe some additional help in this article:

Hope this helps

Had to buy a new PC as the hard disk of the old one broke and lost all purchases, but still have them on the iPhone. How can I sync them back to the new PC in iTunes without losing them?

    You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content.

I have lost my purchased music library. I dont use itunes regularly and had some trouble with access after forgetting my password ! While my access is restored and i have been able to purchase music since then, my original library still eludes me.
Contacting itunes seems difficult, and as I'm not savvy with computer technology, any advice with regard to my,or itunes shortcomings would be appreciated.

  • Computer Crashed Purchased Itunes Lost

While I was backing up my computer it managed to crash and wipe both its hardrive and my external one. Is there any way I can get back my purchased itunes?

    Hello there,
Purchases from the iTunes store (with the exception of Apps) are a one time download only. If you have lost these purchases, you'll need to pay for them again. However, you might be able to download them again if you speak with iTunes support about it. Don't count on it, but it's worth a shot.

  • Lost All Purchased Items From My Itunes

I have lost all of my purchased items from my itunes account is there anyway of retrieving them as my computer died and went to laptop heaven and lost all purchased items?

You could try to go to the Appstore on your iPhone, go to 'Updates', select 'Purchased'. IOS 5.0x is required.
This should show all your purchases and allows you to download them. Swipe on a program to delete it from the list if you don't want it listed anymore.
(assuming you're looking for apps, off course).

  • Itunes has lost my purchase song list but all the albums are list as complete my albums. The ones i have purchased are tell me i have to buy them again. Not happy Itunes not Happy Apple

Itunes has lost my purchase song list but all the albums are list as complete my albums. The ones i have purchased are tell me i have to buy them again. Not happy Itunes not Happy Apple.
How do i fix it or does apple have to fix it on there end?

If the single songs are no longer available in Itunes, that would also explain why you aren't able to see your purchases.
If the songs are on your phone you can transfer purchases to iTunes app on your computer.   You wouldn't be able to download them again though.

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

    Hi Topher23Gunner,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an issue with music missing from iTunes. The articles below should help you resolve the issue, the first will help you locate missing files and the second describes a software conflict with a small group of PCs.

recently "lost" a purchased song, (Plus the accompanying artwork) from my i-tunes library, after upgrading my O.S. from windows XP to windows 7.
Is there any way to get the original song back, or, at least, re-purchase it?... I tried to do the latter, (It's still available in the itunes store) but, when I clicked on the buy link, I was informed that I had already bought it and was only given the option to, either, copy the link or send it to Facebook/Twitter
I also, inadvertently, deleted a couple of default playlists (Notably recently added) while attempting to get the song back.
Can someone out there, please, help me out. with the solution(s). (preferably step by step if possible, as I'm a bit of a Homer Simpson when it comes to this sort of thing) .. Doh!! :-(

  • I updated my iphone with software ios5.0.1 and i have lost my purchased ringtones and imported music...........please help i had 25G of music on it

    Hi everyone
i have recently updated my iphone 3Gs with iOS 5.0.1 and i have lost my purchased ringtones and music uploaded from cd's on both my phone and computer....please help

You have two choices, however, choice one will only work for your 3GS: Download & Install this:

If you get an iPhone 5, you will need to purchase 10.6.8 & then update to iTunes 11:

  • Updated i tunes, and now have lost soem purchased music

    Hi,
I have just updated i tunes and have lost some purchased music.  If i go into Itunes store and find one of the missing songs it states "Purchased", there is no option to download again.  I can't even buy it again as it states "Purchased".
I have tried following the tutorial for lost music, and had no joy.
In the prior version of itunes the missing songs were in my music library.
I have tried everything i know, this is my final option, since i have tried to find a number to call to speak to a real person but to no avail.  if no one can help get teh musci back can they provide a number for me to speak to someone at Apple?
    Thanks

All you can get back is your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You will have to rerip the CDs unless you can find a copy.
When you restore or update an iPod, if synced media is not in the iTunes library it will not be on the iPod after the restore/update since the backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.
