ITunes Match constantly crashes on me. (Windows 7)

Question

I can't play most of my songs, and haven't been able to for months. Everytime I try to open iTunes, the sync starts but while it is "gathering playlist information" or trying to sync my songs with cloud, iTunes crashes. I have put in several tickets with Apple and nothing has come of it. I always get the same stock reply of "make sure you have the most current version of iTunes" and "please sign out and then sign back in of both your apple ID and of the iTunes Match service." Does anyone here have any suggestions that might help? Below is the error I constantly get.

Instead of troubleshooting iTunes Match specifically, let's try troubleshooting iTunes crashing/freezing. I'd check out the steps in the following document:
