ITunes Match in Israel - cannot subscribe

As of today iTunes store is available in Israel - thank you.
iTunes match appears to be avaailable as well - at least the links works and there is pricing available:
And yet when I try to subscribe I get that my storefront does not support "automatically renewing subscriptions". This is per Israeli law, ok, but why enable iTunes match at all then? Are there any changes in the near future that will allow this to work? Or is tit just another temporary bug?

Hi.
Here's my problem. I think it is the same issue.
Right now I can try to launch iTunes Match in the Store by clicking iTunes Match link in quick links on the right.
Then I get an error:
After that, if I go to my library again, I see the Match link at the top now. But it also doesn't get me there:
Anyone else gets the same behavior?

  • ITunes Match In Israel

    Hello,
I was wondering why I can't subscribe to iTunes match in Israel? It says my country/region isn't supported yet Israel shows up on apple's iTunes match supported country list.
    Thank you for your help,
    Daniel

According to this article, it isn’t. iTunes in the Cloud isn’t the same as iTunes Match.

  • I subscribed to itunes match but now cannot get it to work

I subscribed to Itunes match and copied CDs to my laptop which matched to the cloud and then copied to my iphone. However, trying  a second time with more laptop tracks it will not match to the cloud.

  • Error in iTunes Match - "This item cannot be downloaded"

Has anyone else had this issue? I've searched on here but can't see any mention of it.
I have recently uploaded several albums from my pc into iTunes Match and some of the songs were 'matched' and some 'uploaded'. However, when I try to download these songs to my iPhone, only the matched ones download. The uploaded ones give the following error...
    This item cannot be downloaded
The item you have requested is not available for download
The status for these songs in itunes on my pc says Uploaded (no errors) and they are all in Apple Lossless format. I am wondering if the Apple servers need to convert them to 256kps format before they are available for download? But these songs were uploaded a couple of days ago and still won't download. I uploaded some other Lossless songs last week and they were available for download on my iphone almost immediately.
    Any help most appreciated!
    Thanks.

Itunes does modify certain lossless formats - AIFF and WAV - in the background whenever a file in one of those formats is marked for upload.  It is that AAC that gets uploaded, so it's done local on your computer prior to being uploaded. I doubt this is the cause of your problem on the iphone though.
You seem to have the iPhone set properly for downloading from Match, or you wouldn't get the matched songs downloaded.  The easiest way to confirm that is to pick an album where you have a mix of matched and downloaded songs and go to the bottom of the track list on the iPhone and hit "download all"  Watch to see if all the download clouds change to circles and eventually fill in.  If you are still getting that error. I would start by powering down the iPhone, waiting a few minutes before starting it back up, then see if that clears the problem.
Barring that, I'd call Apple support.

  • Why no iTunes Match in Israel

Everything Apple is available in Israel but STILL Apple chooses to limit its services, like iTunes Match and  iBooks (except free books) here. Apple computers and devices are two to three time the price of the same thing in the USA but we are denied access to services which are basically part of the reason that makes Mac, iPods, iPhones and iPads "special".
    Why?

Once again, thank you for your interest and thoughts. I couldn't agree with you more about the lack of competition due to sole franchises. Apple has given iDigital the sole franchise for Israel and, while they do hold stock of Apple products, they will only supply individual units to other stores after an order and deposit has been paid. This does not apply to iPads and iPhones though. They do supply the stores and other firms are also importing themselves. The problem with doing this with computers is a thing called a keyboard which, I am sure you are quite aware of. I suppose one could also buy one from outside and put letter stickers on it, Hebrew, Arabic, etc., but they peel off and are ugly. However, the killer with buying on-line is the shipping cost which gets added to VAT.
I took your advice and checked out the Apple Store price for my MacBook Pro (non Retina) in Belgium. The price there is NIS 7,344 compared to NIS 8,199 here and that includes 23% VAT. I was in Belgium in June and, while I didn't check the prices of MacBooks and iMacs, I did notice that the other Apple goodies are about the same price as here.
With other brands of computers running Windows or Android, the situation is totally different. There is huge competition and all sorts of deals are available.
In conclusion then, it appears that we who are now "grown-ups" and have migrated to Mac, will just have to live with the higher prices. By the way, my first Apple was an Apple II Plus in 1980 with 64 KB or RAM and two external Apple Disk Drives!
    Again, thank you.
    Frank.

  • A private label album shows that it is uploaded into iTunes Match, yet I cannot download it to my iPhone.  I can't figure out why?

5300+ of my 5600+ songs uploaded into iTunes match.  One album of songs, private label, shows that it's loaded (there's a "cloud" beside all the songs), they are appropriate-bit-rate MP3s, and play just fine on my iMac.  However, they're greyed-out when I try to download them to my iPhone 5.  Any ideas?

Further investigation (and adding some display columns for iCloud status) revealed this album, among a few hundred other songs, were "Waiting".  Observing it run, iTunes Match would attempt to upload song #1 (not on this album) then restart.  Again and again.
Using Launcher to get to the Console, I found a iTunes Match "unexpected connection closure" error listed, about a couple hundred times since I started this process on Saturday.  Not good.  And then a bunch of Google results for various potential problems.
Examining my results, now with that iCloud status column, I found that basically my entire Old Time Radio library won't load, since it's bitrate is way too low (1930's radio mysteries didn't have a lot of fidelity, and don't need it now, particularly.  So...that makes iTunes Match a non-starter for me, anyhow.
Off it goes.  I'm back to sync'ing portions of my library again.  Until I get an iPhone with more capacity.

  • HT4913 cannot add my new iphone 5 to itunes match

Switched from iPhone 4 to iphone 5, signed in with my store id and enable itunes match, but iphone cannot connect.

    I solved my own question.
After trying everything I could think of, my MacBook said:
"Another device in this network is using the IP-address of your computer.
If the problem persists, change the IP-address of this computer or the IP-address of the other device."
I then went to SETTINGS in my iPhone.
    --> WI-FI
--> the Network I'm trying to access
    --> static
    -->IP Address
I filled in the IP Address my internet service provider supplied me when I subscribed.
    And BINGO!!!

  • Using iTunes Match even though I never subscribed?

So I have a bit of a problem.
On the computer I'm using right now, my laptop, I have access to iTunes Match, a service I never subscribed for. At least, I think I have. I can see all of my purchases even though I haven't downloaded most.
However, on my desktop computer, I cannot see anything in the cloud unless I go to the iTunes Store and look at my Purchased songs.
Is there any way for me to see my purchases on my desktop computer's library or will I eventually have to subscribe to iTunes Match.

    Hi,
I don't think you have iTunes Match unless you have subscribed to it. What you are seeing will be itunes in the cloud. You go to menu >store > tick show purchases in the cloud.
You don't need to subscribe to iTunes Match unless you want your non itunes purchased music to be available in the cloud.

  • Cannot enable iTunes Match on iPhone 4S

I subscribed to iTunes Match using iTunes 11.1.5.
When I go to activate it on my iPhone 4S running 7.1, I go to Settings>Music or Settings>iTunes & App Store and choose "Subscribe to iTunes Match".
I click "Subscribe" and it tells me "You are already subscribed to iTunes Match".
I click Open Settings to go to Settings>Music and I only see the "Subscribe to iTunes Match" button. I don't have an "Activate iTunes Match" button. I have restarted the iPhone a few times and haven't had any different results.
Any idea as to what I might be missing?

And here is the screen from the Music settings.

  • Trying to set up ITunes match but cannot

My question is about installing ITunes Match. Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum.
I upgraded from Mac OS X Snow Leopard to Mac OS X Mountain Lion today, so I can use ITunes Match and ICloud. I then installed ICloud.
I bought a subscription to ITunes Match today but cannot install it or upload or download it or whatever you call it. It only does one of the three steps. It does step one which is gather info from my ITunes library. It stops then. It does not do step 2 which is matching my music with the ITunes store, and it does not do step 3 which is uploading artwork and remaining songs. At first I got an error message: it told me the problem was that I need to sign out of the ITunes store and then log back in. I did that, but it did not help. It still stops after step one, but I no longer get an error message. Please advise.

ok, so I have not backed up my icloud as i had so much stuff so now just set up as a new phone and all hunky dory

  • Priming our IDs and Systems for iTunes Match... Best Prac?

    Hi all,
I love the concept of iTunes Match and plan on subscribing, however I am aware there might be pitfalls due to our (not so unique) setup at our house and I am keen to ensure I set things up correctly to avoid headaches.
I'm hoping you all and your seven months of consuming this service will help me!!
    Firstly, I'll describe our setup.
    2 people. 3 Apple ID's (1 each + 1 shared iCloud).
    2 Work PC's. Windoze.
    1 iMac (home). Lion.
    1 Macbook (home). Snow Leopard.
    2 iPhones
    1 iPad.
Currently my fiance and I use our individual Apple ID's to purchase songs and apps that suit our own tastes. We share an iCloud ID across our iOS devices and iMac (which allows us to sync calendars, contacts, photostream etc).
Currently our shared iCloud ID has 0 computers or devices authorised to play content purchased with its ID as no purchases have been made (outside of some apps on the iMac).
My personal Apple ID has 4 computers and 2 devices authorised. (iMac, Macbook, No Idea 1, No idea 2, iPhone and iPad).
My fiance's Apple ID has 5 computers and 1 devices authorised. (iMac, No Idea 1 through 4, iPhone)
What I am trying to determine is how we should prepare for and configure iTunes Match.  What we would like to do is use iTunes match on our personal devices (of course) - the iMac, Macbook1,1, 2 x iPhones and our iPad.   We'd also like to use iTunes match on our Work PC's so we can listen away to our own music while we slave away, noses to the proverbial grindstone, for WAY too many hours each week.  This would use up 4 computers and 3 devices from our ten licenses.
Firstly, should we both de-authorise all devices from our iTunes accounts?  As I understand it this would clean the slate for us in terms of authorised devices.
However, I'm aware there's some 90 day doohickey to slow down using multiple ID's on a computer.  So an option here would be to de-authorise (and then re-authorise the iMac) for my fiance's account devices... and wait 90 days to do the same for mine, considering I have one computer up my proverbial sleeve.
Secondly, which Apple ID should we use for iTunes Match? It seems to make logical sense to use the shared iCloud ID.  However, as no music has been purchased using this ID, I'm not sure if this will complicate things (despite the computer we would upload from using this ID as its iCloud ID and being authorised to play the songs purchased from both our accounts).  Can't seem to really find any documentation to clarify this.
Thirdly, and this might just be my idiotness, but I can't quite work out if a model of using our shared iCloud ID for match, but then continuing to purchase music from our individual Apple ID's will actually even work.
Finally - to put it most simply, I really don't know what I don't know here.. so if there are any things you believe I should be considering or any tips or advice or recommendations you believe would help me, I'd really, REALLY appreciate to hear them.

Okay - just been through the EXACT same thing.
AppleCare just advised me of the situation and here is my summary for you:
Despite supporting a different iCloud ID and Apple ID for store purchases on one device simultaneously, you will run into issues with this model.  I just have. i.e. While iCloud ID's can be different to Apple ID's and treated as such by some Apple services - iTunes doesn't work this way.
I used our shared iCloud ID to sign up to iTunes Match and while this worked, here are the pitfalls:
    - On your Mac: You cannot be signed into iTunes Match with your iCloud ID and the iTunes Store with your normal ID simultaneously.
To continue to use your current model of ID management - you will need to make iTunes store purchases with your normal ID, then sign into iTunes Match with the appropriate ID to allow these purchases to upload to the cloud.
    - On your iPhone: You cannot be signed into iTunes Match with a different ID to that which you are signed into the App Store with.
You would need to either use your iTunes Match ID on your phone to access your Music, or revert back to your normal ID and just use "playlists" etc to sync your tracks as per usual.
    - You will be able to use the iTunes Match on your Work PC's.. so long as you don't try to sign in with your normal ID also. Or first. Remember that 90 day rule thing and sign in with the iTunes Match ID on your work PC.
The AppleCare staffer said we're not alone (obviously) and that he hopes that in time Apple will look to supporting account merging etc. However, they don't right now.

  • Problem in using 2 IDs for iTunes music purchase downloads and using iTunes Match for 1 ID

    Dear support managers,
We are using 1 macbook pro and 2 apple ID for purchasing iTunes music together (Me and my wife).
Actually, I have bought 1 year service of iTunes match on my apple ID and have been using well the service after download the purchased musics under the apple ID I am using.
But once my wife associated the macbook pro with her apple ID to download the musics she purchased,
I have not been able to use the iTunes Match service I have subscribed already.
    The message said
"This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days"
I can neither purchase another computer for solving this situation nor want to purchase another iTunes Match service on my wife's apple ID.
Please help me out to solve this issue.
    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi,
You can only use one Apple ID with iTunes match. Purchasing another match subscription using wife's Apple ID is not a solution. I can only suggest that you use your ID for match and all iTunes music purchases.

  • Itunes Match on Mac OS v10.5.8

I've tried searching the forum before posting this question, but could not find anything that addressed my concerns. I'm wondering if anyone has iTunes Match running on OS 10.5.8 (Leopard). I have iTunes 10.5.2, and it gives me the option to subscribe to iTunes Match. I'm worried of subscribing, then finding out iTunes Match does not support on 10.5.8. The Apple website says 10.6.8 is the minimum system requirement, but I find it weird that iTunes will give me the option of subscribing when it clearly knows what my OS version is.
So the question I have is can anyone definitively tell me that iTunes Match can or cannot run on 10.5.8? Please dont refer me to the posted minimum system requirements, I'm looking for previous experience (trial and error) of people that have tried (or are using) iTunes Match on 10.5.8.
    Thanks,

As of today, we have iTunes Match running on Lion (laptops), and Snow Leopard (old "desklamp" iMac). We discovered today that there was an update to iTunes fortThe Snow Leopard machine, so we enabled it.  It doesn't have any songs on the drive, so everything that shows up in iTunes is from iTunes Match.  I haven't tried downloading anything, but it all seems to be there.
However, before I found the way to get my new Apple ID into iTunes on the iMac, it did want me to subscribe again.  Out of curiosity, I hit the button.  it told me that temporarily they weren't taking any more subscriptions (U.S. here).  once they allow people to subscribe again though, I can't imagine you could complete the subscription unless the machine you were subscribing from supported it.
