ITunes Match Music not showing up after 11.1?

So after I updated my macbook's itunes to 11.1 iTunes Match is no longer showing any of my music in the cloud.

I found a solution. It works for me on my 3 apple's computers concerned by this issue. Upload the iTunes installer
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. Start the installer and your iTunes will work correctly :-)

    Hey there Dollyonline,
Thank you for asking your question! It sounds like iTunes Match playlists are not syncing correctly to your iPad, even though you have already toggled iTunes Match off then on again. I would next turn iTunes Match back off, then close all the apps on the iPad:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App stores, and restart the phone then try turning on iTunes Match again to test the issue:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:

  • ITunes match does not show up on iphone

I just enabled iTunes match after it took forever to synch up on my computer, it told me to go to settings -> music and turn on iTunes match. I don't have that option on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5. What is wrong?

iTunes Match has not been released yet.

  • ITunes Match music not updating on iPhone 4 - all settings "correct", but all playlists and many songs, artists, albums, artwork missing

I'm having a maddening problem with iTunes Match on my iPhone 4. I have the following settings established on the phone:
Settings > iCloud > Account: properly logged in to the correct, main account
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup: On
Settings > Music > iTunes Match: On
Settings > Music > Show All Music: On
Settings > Store: Logged into the same correct, main account as above
Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music: On
On my laptop - the computer I use to primarily manage my iTunes music collection - when I "Update iTunes Match", all but three songs are listed as "Matched", "Uploaded". or "Purchased", and I'm correctly told that "12,277 songs are now available in iCloud".
But over the past week or so, music has been disappearing from my iPhone 4. When I go under Music > Playlists, none of my Playlists are showing. When I go under Music > Songs, it only lists 240 of the 12,277 tracks that are supposedly available in iCloud. Only 126 of around 1300 artists are listed. I have meticulously collected/scanned album artwork for literally every song in my collection, but a ton of it is missing on even the few tracks that do show up on my iPhone, and on and on and on.
I've been trying switching settings on and off, logging out and back in, waiting minutes, hours, or even days between attempts, running a restore to previous backup for the whole phone, etc. But after days of frustration and time wasted - nothing. And the real kicker is that the whole music collection IS showing up just fine on my wife's iPhone 4 - it just won't work on mine, and it's mostly my music to begin with!
So why won't my music collection show up on my iPhone 4? What do I do to fix this? How is this worth the money I paid for the Match service?

Thanks to kirbyfromtrenton, I have tracked down at least a partial fix for this problem:
1 - Turn off iTunes match in iTunes.
2 - Turn off iTunes match on the iPhone.
3 - Close iTunes and reopen.
    4 - Connect your iPhone.
5 - Go into your music folder for the iPhone and delete all the songs.
6 - Turn back on iTunes match in iTunes
7 - Turn back on iTunes match on the iPhone
All of my music is available once again, although I'm still not seeing my playlists or artwork. That could be because I'm overseas right now with a slow wi-fi connection though.

  • ITunes match option not showing in iPad2. Running iOS 5.1

iTunes match option is not showing in my iPad 2 neither in my iPhone 4S under Music settings but works ok in my iMac and MacMini.
Is there any setting to enable it in iOS?
All devices are connected to the same apple ID

Let me make sure I understand you. On your iOS device, when you go to Settings > Music there is no toggle switch to turn iTunes Match ON?
First thing to double check is the version of iOS: got to Settings > General > About and find the VERSION line. It should be 5.1 (9B179). If this is the case then you should power cycle the iOS device. If that does not help, the next step is to restore your device, but do not restore from a backup. Set it up as a new device.
Let us know how all that works.

  • ITunes match music not being overwritten

The music I have downloaded to my iPhone 4s cannot be deleted manually I know (iOS 6.0.1). But now the problem is it is not being deleted automatically. My phone is now stuffed full and I can't download any new music, apps or take any photos or video. Is there a solution to this please?

  • Music not showing up after syncing in ipod

I have synced my Ipod with my itunes account and it shows that is syncing and also uses up the space in the Nano however the music does not show up on the ipod. I have gone back to the apple store and gotten a new ipod and the same thing is happening.

    Hello ThisIssue
Check out the troubleshooting assistant in the first article below. It will walk you through a few simple steps like restarting your iPod nano and changing ports on your Mac. Another troubleshooting option is to put your iPod nano into disk mode and then plug it in and see if iTunes recognizes it to be restored.

  • ITunes Match changes not showing on iOS device

I updated a bunch of stuff in iTunes (typos, recategorized genres, etc).  I manually told iTunes Match to update, but when I go to my iPhone 5, it does not reflect the changes.  Is there somethiung I need to do on my iPhone 5 to force an update?

Are the tracks that are not updating downloaded to your iPhone? If so you'll need to delete the tracks from the device before the changes will show up.

  • Music not showing up after folder import !

    Hello everybody,
i have some issues since today when i try to import tracks in iTunes, tracks never show up !!!
i did it with many mp3 files (no drm, no copyrights), when i consolid my library all files are correctly moved in the iTunes Library Folder, i can see new tracks in the search box but when i select them nothing happen and i go back to the "global" artists view.

Someone have an idea to fix that ?
    Thanks a lot.
    PS : my library contains arround 10 000 tracks - 60GB

  • Why are specific Itunes playlists/music not showing when I sync devices?, Why are specific Itunes playlists/music not showing when I sync devices?

Each time I sync any of my devices, the same playlists/music from my Itunes is absent from my device's sync application.

Under the summary tab in iTunes make sure you have Automatically Back Up This computer. If you have iCloud selected it won't back up when syncing.

    Hello there Jameskuo47,
In researching the issue you are experiencing I found an article that should help get your iTunes Match content to your iPhone. The name of the article is iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match and you can find it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913.
    This section specifically:
To add an iOS device to iTunes Match
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Music.
    Note:
iTunes Match requires iOS 5.0.1 or later; you can find the
    latest iOS software here'
Tap the iTunes Match switch to On.To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device.
Your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.
    Important:
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is enabled1. To disable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > Music > Use Cellular Data > Off.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • After a series of "unknown errors," iTunes Match is not properly connecting to my library

Last March (yes, that long ago), iTunes Match mysteriously stopped accepting the input of new music to the cloud, always citing an "unknown" error, though each time the number given for the error was different. After trying a number of standard solutions (turning iTunes Match off and back on, etc.), I turned to various tech support forums and tried the various solutions offered there. Nothing worked. Eventually, I found someone who suggested holding down the "option" key while selecting "Turn Off iTunes Match" from the drop-down menu, then turning it back on. Half of the people on that forum said it worked, half said it didn't, and one person said it erased their entire library. I decided to try it, and doing so somehow severed the connection between my computer's library and iTunes Match. Here's what I mean: Once I tried this, suddenly ALL of the songs in my library (songs that were already in the cloud, songs that weren't, AND songs purchased FROM iTUNES) were now marked with the symbol meaning "waiting to be put into the cloud." I tried selecting "Add to iCloud," but it never did anything. Sometimes, it said that no new songs could be added because my cloud is full (It's not. It is somewhat close, but it is definitely not completely full), and other times it just gets stuck in the "Sending Information to Apple" stage. Oddly enough, anything that was already put into the cloud is still accessible via iTunes Match on my phone and the devices of the other members of my family (we share the same library, the "master" copy of which is on my laptop). New purchases from the iTunes store appear there as well, but none of the new manually-imported music can be entered. This is particularly frustrating since my family and I have bought numerous CDs in the intervening time, and we'd like to be able to access them. I took my computer to the local Apple Store for an appointment at the Genius Bar, and three separate people examined my iTunes library and computer, but none of them could figure out what the problem was. We tried creating a new "source folder" for the iTunes library, but we were immediately met with the same problem of not being able to put any new music in the cloud. We also discovered that, because of these mysterious problems, there was no way to remove anything from the cloud, meaning that even if it was full, there's currently no way for me to do anything about it. The only thing we were able to determine for certain is that iTunes Match is not communicating with my iTunes library, though I pretty much already knew that. They suggested I schedule a call with Apple support, but since that would cost $30 just to set up with no guarantee that they could actually help with this problem, I've decided to see if anyone else out there has any useful ideas. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated, as this has been driving myself and my family mad for several months now.

The grand total of songs in my library is 69839, though that includes songs purchased from iTunes as well as tracks that aren't intended for the cloud anyway. As to your other question, ALL of the songs that were in my library before the big crash show their iCloud status as "Waiting." That includes stuff that I'd bought from iTunes. I tried clicking the "Add to iCloud" option for these albums that were already in the cloud, and a couple removed the "Waiting" symbol, but most didn't. As of this past week's bizarre development, everything that was already in the cloud is now being displayed twice in my library, once as "Waiting" and once as being in the cloud but not on my computer, giving me the option to download them to my library.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match is not working on my iPhone 4S after installing iOS 6.  I finally see a list of artists, but the songs are all empty and will not play, and no play lists are present.

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install.  All music that was previously downloaded is gone.  When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere.  Then it goes away.  No playlists are present.  It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.
Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.
    Thanks!

    Same issue for me.
Some further peculiar things I noticed:
Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).
Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.
Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help!
