Itunes match no longer downloads on cellular

i have iPad air running iOS 8.1.2 and iPhone 6 plus running iOS 8.1.2
they both have t-mobile sim cards
i've noticed that whenever wifi is turned off, the download arrow disappears now on itunes match. and reappears when you connect to wifi
i was planning on testing t-mobile download speeds / usage, and found out that i can no longer download my music over cellular
is this a new feature???
settings
use cellular data for
everything is checked YES except for "roku" and "98.5 Kfox"
itunes and app store
itunes match ON
use Cellular Data ON
settings music
itunes match ON
i think downloading from itunes match over cellular was either removed in 8.1.2, or my sim card s blocking it

f iTunes match is turned off then music only shows purchased music , and that can be downloaded over cellular
if ttunes match is turned on, then no music can be downloaded over cellular

    You have old computers authorized that you are no longer using more than likely.
    From http://www.apple.com/itunes/features/
    Authorize and Deauthorize
    Purchases you make from the iTunes Store can be played on up to five computers that you authorize using your iTunes Store account name and password. To authorize or deauthorize a single computer, choose Authorize This Computer or Deauthorize This Computer from the Store menu. If all five authorizations are being used, you can deauthorize all your computers at one time by choosing View My Account from the Store menu and selecting Deauthorize All.
    You can then restart the authorization process with each current device.

  • IOS 7 continues iTunes in the Cloud downloads over cellular data, ignoring settings.

    I have run into an *expensive* little bug in iOS 7.0.1.
    Kids, don't try this at home:
    While on wifi, turn on show all music or iTunes Match. Make sure "use cellular data" is OFF.
    Go to music and start downloading something (like a playlist with about 3000 songs...)
    Now turn off wifi or move out of range. Your songs will continue downloading over cellular data!
    Kiss your data limit and your battery life goodbye.
    There is NO WAY to stop the download queue, short of turning on airplane mode, and it will continue as soon as you turn it back off. You can go into iTunes downloads and manually pause each song, but only after they have started to download.  Restarting the phone or signing out of your iTunes account does not work. You can  also deselect songs that are pending in music, but again, you have to do this for every song.
    I'll be calling AT&T tomorrow to try and get these overages removed, and Apple to let them know about this... I mean, really? How hard can it be to stop downloading when the wifi goes away? iTunes Radio stops immediately when you drop off wifi...

    I just realized you can go into Settings->cellular and turn off cellular data for Music... that might work, but I don't know if it will stop downloads that are already running. I wonder if this is related to the multipath TCP implementation: once a connection is initiated, the app doesn't know when the network changes!

  • HT1711 I have over 100 songs I bought back before mid-2009 when Apple dropped this DRM thing. If I want to play those songs on Sonos, the ONLY way to do so is pay Apple another $25/year for iTunes Match and re-download them??

    I have a Sonos system in my house and suddenly discovered that many songs I bought off of iTunes years ago are 'grayed out' when I try to play them from my iPhone or do not appear as options at all when I try to play them on Sonos from my overall music library.  It's well over 100 songs I bought back before mid-2009 when Apple dropped this DRM thing. From what I think I am reading, if I want to play those songs on Sonos, the ONLY way to do so is pay Apple another $25/year for iTunes Match (which I don't have any interest in) and then re-download them all in iTunes Plus format??

    Matt,
    I agree it was not all communicated real well, but in your case it will work out.  You missed the program where you could have upgraded 100 tracks for 30 cents each (=$30) but now you can do it via Match (=$25).  It works pretty simply, per this document:
    Can I upgrade my previously purchased music to iTunes Plus?
    Yes. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you can download your previously purchased music again in the iTunes Plus format. To do so:
    You need to delete the original DRM song from your library first. Doing this enables you to download the song again in the iTunes Plus format from iTunes in the Cloud.
    Click the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store.
    Click Music.
    Locate the artist of the song you want to upgrade.
    Click the iCloud Download icon next to the song you want to upgrade.
    Just don't forget to put the Plus files on your hard drive -- properly backed up of course -- and to cancel the Match subscription before the second year rolls around!

  • ITunes will no longer download. It says it has not been correctly localized for this language, and to run the English version. How do I do that?

    My iTunes will no longer download.
    All of a sudden I get the message "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version".
    How do I fix this and run the English version again? .

    Start by trying to repair iTunes from the programs and features control panel.
    Otherwise, for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • ITunes Match No Longer Works With iTunes 11.1.4.62

    After upgrading to iTunes 11.1.4.62 for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, my iTunes Match no longer works.  It insists that I pay for another subscription even though I have a valid subscription already.  Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?  What can I do to remedy this problem?

    So I'm guessing that there is no fix for this error?  I see that this patch has caused complete disaster for not only me but for lots of other people as well.  Tell us how to fix our issues or release a new patch!

  • 4th gen touch and iTunes Match no longer works

    I have a 4th gen touch, and iTunes Match no longer works - I choose it in settings, and it just turns itself off a few seconds later - it worked before, and I had to restore the iPod, and it doesn't work any more.

    Hi randy_m,
    If you are having issues with your iPod touch turning off iTunes Match unexpectedly, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    Force an app to close in iOS
    Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPod -
    Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPod as a new device -
    How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups.

    i clicked the download all button at the end of the list of my library iTunes which i believe is in the iCloud, i have iTunes match also, many downloads were reported as occurring over several hours and then received the warning startup disc is full (activity monitor shows 3.99 of 4 GB used) and then another stating the download had not occurred due to the disc being full. most of the tunes still appear to be in the cloud but the disc is said to be full, spent a good period of time trying to investigate what has happened but failed...I'm not well up on all of this as an old chap so any help would be wonderful.....

    Thanks Michael, what is the best way of backing up, should buy a cheap standalone external hard drive rather than relying on the Time Capsule which is quite sensitive...
    If you read the link I provided you'll get an idea of one way to maintain a backup of your music files, use Time Machine, and not take up as much room on the internal HDD/SSD.

    Your internet connection speed has no effect on Time Machine/Time Capsule backups. Since that is all done locally, over your wireless network you actually do not need an internet connection at all.

    Also I wondered if I could increase the memory on the setup disk by replacing the 4GB card already in the MBP with 16GB cards, if I upgraded would that affect anything I have stored already like my iTunes?
    You're asking about the computer's RAM. Increasing that will not increase the size of the internal storage available to the computer. You'd need to replace the HDD/SSD of the Mac, which, depending on what model you have may or may not be possible (with new models of Macs).

  • HT1688 iTunes Match is not downloading properly to my iPhone.

    iTunes Match is not downloading properly to my iPhone.  I removed some songs from the cloud and it has not sent some songs to my iPhone and a lot of my artwork is not coming down.  I have tried to turn it on and off in iTunes, updated to Match and restarted the computer and phone.  Nothing works.  I just began using Match.  What am I doing wrong?  How do I fix this?

  • HT4914 If I subscribe to iTunes Match, can I download onto my new iPhone 6, just my music playlists and not my entire library?

    If I subscribe to iTunes Match, can I download onto my new iPhone 6, just my music playlists and not my entire library? I have over 100 playlists and even more music not in playlists and I don't want to download all of it to my phone.
    Thanks

    First read this: FAQ: Why iTunes Match Can Not Be Used as a Backup
    So, before you sell your Mac make sure all your personal data is backed up to an external HDD then put that HDD in a safe place. When you return you will be able to use it to restore your data to the new Mac.
    Before you sell your computer you must restore the original version OS X that was installed on it when you bought it. See this Apple KB article for how to prepare your Mac for sale: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5189.

  • ITunes Match unable to download songs from iCloud issue

    I have a MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.4 and iTunes 11.3.1. I am having repeated issues with downloading songs from iCloud to my MBP. I have reset Match numerous times using the steps located here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4054.
    Then it works for a short time and I am able to download some songs and then suddenly I will get the pinwheel, the songs in iCloud will all show greyed out and then I am no longer able to download anymore. Repeat process.
    I am about to try a test tethering to my iPhone's internet service to see if that improves things. So far, the only threads I have found on this topic have been related to Mountain Lion. So I'm not sure if this is a different issue I am seeing.
    I also tried resetting the System Configuration to see if it would fix, but no luck: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4160355?start=90&tstart=0
    Is anyone else experiencing this and what is the issue? Can it be fixed?

    Hi,
    I don't think that you have a similar issue to OP.
    Mettelin wrote:
    That means that iTunes Match is stripping out the Sample Rate when it uploads some tracks (even variable within albums) and then it gets stuck when you try to play the track.
    Apple needs to fix this.
    Match does not strip out the Sample Rate. If tracks are matched, it shows the standard sample rate of 44,100 but unknown when tracks are uploaded (probably because Apple does not capture this on such tracks). If you have an iCloud status of "Waiting" and a blank sample rate, this suggests that the match / upload process was not completed.
    If you have not already solved your problem, I suggest that you delete those tracks and then read them to your iTunes library. Once you have matched or uploaded them, you can delete from your hard drive but not the cloud.

  • ITunes Match no longer working

    Wow. I don't even know where to start with this. But here's the problems I am having- I am hoping that someone can steer me in the right direction. I've been trying for a few weeks to get this straightened out and am still quite stuck.
    I had iTunes match successfully running, with @35,000 tracks. But about a week ago I could no longer "see" anything that is in the cloud- my computer at work will only show the 12k songs on my hard drive.
    Things to know:
    1)I no longer have the cloud icon showing to the right of Music in the iTunes viewer window.
    2) I've tried selecting Update iTunes Match. I've selected Turn Off iTunes Match, and then Turn On iTunes Match numerous times.
    3) Checked to make sure iCloud Download and iCloud Status is enabled in the View Options.
    4) iTunes Match shows up below iTunes Store, and it is stuck in that Start process. I can start it, it acts like it is going thru the process, then sends info to Apple, then goes back to the same view (iTunes Match, with the three steps and the Start button)
    5) I've tried accessing my iTunes match songs from 3 different computers now, and I am getting the same results.
    6) iTunes knows that I have more than 25k songs in the cloud because I get the nag screen New songs could not be uploaded because I've exceeded the 25k limit now. (In fact, that nag screen shows everytime I launch iTunes, even though I've toggled the box Do not show this message again)
    7) On my computers, 99% of all of my songs now say Exceeded Limit in their iCloud Status collumn, even when they are songs bought thru the iTunes store.
    8) I've tried reinstalling iTunes 10.5.2 a few times now.
    9) Hide music not on this computer is not on. But for good measure, I've tried selecting it, and then reversing it just to see if that changes anything. It doesn't.
    I'm totally at a loss here. Anyone been thru this before and figured out what I might need to do? I am highly frustrated that I currently can't find 2/3rd's of my music library.

    An effective way to work with such a large library is to operate on the assumption that iTunes Match will fail to 'match' a significant proportion of the library.
    Songs most likely to match are more recent Songs from iTunes or good quality CD rips (256 kbps).
    From your symptoms it is worth starting afresh, hence:
    1.  Start by restoring your original library with iTunes Match off from a secure backup;
    2.  Create Smart Lists to segment your library into Songs recorded in c.5 year blocks;
    3.  Export from each Smart List to a discrete directory for each 5 year block;
    4.  Create a new library, import from the 1st 5 year block;
    5.  Turn on iTunes Match and allow the 3-step process to complete;
    6.  Create a Smart List for those Songs with an iCloud status of Matched;
    7.  Save the contents of the Smart List to a discrete Matched Songs Directory;
    8.  Delete the Matched Songs from the Library and the iCloud;
    9.  Import the next 5 year block and repeat process from Step 5 until all Songs have Uploaded.
    The result will be a library with all your Songs uploaded using the iTunes Match service and a set of directories containing all the Songs the you know will match.
    At this stage the next step depends on the size of your library.  Given that you can only upload 25k Songs per library, with luck you should have a match rate that has allowed this.
    Given that Matched songs do not add to this total you should now be able to import the Matched songs in 5 year blocks to the same library - allowing iTunes Match to complete for each set loaded until the full library is available.
    If, however, you have hit the 25k Song limit - you should delete the last 5 year block to bring you back to a legal level.  Create a new library and complete the steps above for the Songs over the 25k limit on the new library.  This will give you two legal sized libraries with iTunes Match in successful operation.
    Throughout, taking care to ensure secure backups are taken at each step is important to allow you to recover should iTunes Match at any stage have a problem - there are many potential pitfalls including file types that it may not like, interference from firewalls / antivirus software, corruption of files at source / in transmission.
    The final result should be very good - though the 25k Song limit may frustrate you given the size of your current library.

  • Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not download because disconnected from network?  I'm connected to the internet during that time with Safari so am I not connected to the network?

    Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing."  I'm on the internet during all of this.  What disconnect is the message referring to?  Itunes is frozen now.  I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.

    Hello FredJay,
    Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
    iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
    Make sure you have an active Internet connection
    Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
    On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
    For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
    For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On
    1Fees may be associated with downloading over cellular networks; contact your wireless carrier for details.

  • ITune will no longer download podcast episodes

    Okay, as the subject line said, I can't no longer download any podcast episode.  This started to happen after I updated my Norton software last weekend.  Now I can't play any episodes that were downloaded before the Norton update.  I can still "grab" new episodes, but they show up with an exclamation mark right next to them as if the file hasn't been downloaded, but I can stream those files as if I am listening to internet radio.  Obviously, I can't import those new episodes to my iPod because they aren't downloaded files.  Also, my entire library of music are no longer playable in iTune as well.  As of now, the only thing iTune is good for on my computer is listening to podcast episodes through internet streaming.  I'm running a Window Vista 32-bit system.  Help, anyone?

    I'm having this exact same problem. Here's how it happened for me:
    I was in my house about to leave waiting for someone, and it dawned on me to download some new or recent episodes of a podcast. I went into the Podcast app and started them, and then locked my device thinking that the episodes would be downloading. Little did I know they weren't on my wifi for some reason. I found this out when the person I was waiting for was ready to leave so we could go somewhere and I unlocked my phone in the car. At that point I switched over to LTE and the oldest of these 3 episodes I wanted to download started downloading and was completed in seconds. When it got to the other 2 remaining episodes, they both just had the status of "Preparing to download..." With the loading wheel that tells you how much has been downloaded at 0%. Still right now it's like this. Could this just be an issue with LTE, the podcast, or any of iTunes podcasts as a whole?

  • ITunes Match no longer working: error -9810

    Hi,
    I've been using iTunes Match for several months on my 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro running OS X Lion 10.7.4. It's taken ages to upload my music (in stages) to the iCloud, but now my library of just over 25,000 tracks is nearly all in the cloud with <900 tracks left to upload. But in the last fortnight I haven't been able to continue with the upload. Initially I was getting an 4010 error message when processing step 1. Now the message is error -9810.
    My iCloud files are still accessible on my iPad and iPhone, but I cannot get passed Step 1 on the MBP.
    I've read suggestions for fixes and tried logging out and back in. It still gives the same error.
    Also, Genius no longer is functioning. I turned it off and back on, and when I try to update it gives me a -9810 error as well.
    The iCloud system status page indicates the servers are running ok, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
    Can anyone help?
    Chris

    I seem to have discovered the issue was related to my routers firewall. Sometimes my router plays up and becomes restrictive. I've noticed this before when I get 'strict NAT' errors on my xbox.
    I reset the router and it seems to have opened up the connection and allowed the itunes match process to continue.
