Itunes match plays different song

hello, i recently bought itunes match. i succesfully uploaded over 4k songs on the cloud without a problem except one song. well, it seems uploaded first of all, but when i try to play this song from my iphone 4s, it shows every info right (name of the song, album cover etc.) except song itself. it plays completely different song, not even belongs to my library.
is there anybody else have this problem, or anyone got an aswer for this? thank you for your help.

I have this song and it has been matched to the version on Special Collection. I have downloaded the matched version and it streams correctly on my Ipad.
I presume you still have the original track on your computer. If so, convert the track to a diffent format such as Apple Lossless. Delete original track from cloud (keep at present), change album title on track to Special Collection and run match.
Alternatively, if you have access to the original disc, delete original track from cloud (keep at present) if still on your computer, import the track on a diffent format such as Apple Lossless, change album title on track to Special Collection and run match.
Using a different format will help you avoid matching the wrong track.
Worth a try.

I've just connected the ipod to my computer and checked the music on the iPod. The album that I am having trouble with shows an exclamation symbol next to it. I've tried deleting the album from iTunes and re downloading it then syncing but it doesn't appear to affect the information shown the iPod. The album neither deletes nor updates.

I guess the iTunes store is not recognizing your computer. Did you de-authorise your computer after you uploaded to iTunes Match. Did you register your new computer with a different User ID? Do you have Genius turned on (which needs to be on as it works in conjunction with iTunes Match. Did you authorise your new computer?
You paid for ITunes match & uploaded your songs using a different computer. So there are obviously one or more steps which need to be taken to download your media from the iCloud. Either someone else with more expertise than I can help you, for example, Limnos Limnos ; or King_Penguin King_Penguin or Chris_CA https://discussions.apple.com/people/Chris%20CA would probably be able to help you better than I.

ITunes only plays one song at a time ... help please

All of my songs are checked, but iTunes only plays one song at a time. I can't figure out why. Any suggestions? It just started doing this.

You don't mean you want it to play multiple tracks at the same time, do you? Like where you would hit play and ALL the songs would start playing at the same time?
Or do you mean iTunes will only play one song then stop rather than going on to the next one?

ITunes just plays one song at a time now

It seems like prior to this last update, my iTunes would play each song within a playlist (one song after another, etc).
But now, after it plays one song, it just stops. These are the exact same playlists that it used to play all the way through (one song after another, according the order of the songs within the playlist).
Does anyone know why iTunes stops playing after one song (within a playlist)? Then, I select the next song manually, and it plays it, but of course it stops playing once again when it gets to the end of that song too. Basically it just stops playing after each song. Why won't it just keep playing (each song) like it used to?

Are there check marks beside all the songs in the playlist? Unchecked songs have to be clicked on individually to play them, checked songs will play one after the other. I know you can select the different speakers to play the music to, but wondered if you can also push different music to different speakers at the same time ?
If not is there a way around this other than going for something like Sonos ?

ITunes Match indicates more songs than Library

Updating iTunes Match says "2821 songs are now available in iCloud", however, my library says 2820. This occurs w/ 3 separate computers (Win7 desktop and laptop, and a MacBook Air running OS X Lion) all synced to the same iTunes Match account. I know it's only a variance of 1 track, but has anyone else run into something similar? Any way to manage just the music in iCloud?

iTunes Match if only matched with a single library can only contain upto the number of Songs in that single library - clearly if it has access to more than one library it is soon going to contain more Songs than any individual library.

If you want to upgrade the quality of a song in your library, you have to delete the library copy and download the matched copy.
Once it is downloaded, it will stay in your library even you don't renew Match.

HT204406 Started iTunes Match and the songs are individually available but none of my playlists are on my apple tv yet looking at the playlists from my iTunes on my mac there looks to me no issues

Started iTunes Match and the songs are individually available on my apple TV, and there is a tab for playlists. Yet the only playlists available are the Preset itunes generated 4: 90's music, Classical Music videos, and Recently Added. Yet even the recently Added playlist does not contain my most recelty added music purchased form iTunes and shows that is in the Cloud. None of my other playlists are on my apple tv yet looking at the playlists from my iTunes on my mac, there looks to be no issues relating to them and the cloud. Even tried making a new playlist. It made no difference. It would be nice to figure out how to have my music available on my TV without having to open up my computer everytime. Yes I know I can use my cell phone but, I'd like to put my photos to music and to set that up I need the Itunes Match playlists to WORK

Hi I had exactly the same problem, I don't know if you setup your Apple TV before you subscribed to iTunes I match? If you did then I did the same and although all my songs showed up on my Apple TV none of my playlist did.
This is how I fixed it I went into settings on the Apple TV menu and reset the device back to factory default, I then setup the unit again adding in my iTunes username and password etc, ticked the bix that says turn on I match and then went into music
It took a few moments but it said updating once this finished I checked playlists and all my playlists as per my desktop PC were showing up!

ITunes only playing 1 song at a time

Well I've had this problem for quite some time and I've never been able to fix it. Whenever I play songs from my library or my playlist, iTunes will play that song and then when it's over, just stop, not move on to another/the next song. I constantly have to go and click another song myself to begin it playing again. I've fiddled with the shuffle, repeat playlist buttons, etc. and none of that works. In the Playback Preferences panel, I have the Crossfade Playback on and still nothing happens. I've tried re-installing iTunes but that hasn't fixed the problem either. Does anybody know how I can fix this/what the problem is?

I had this problem and then I realised that it was because my songs were unchecked. In the new, updated version of iTunes it is not so apparent when songs are unchecked so it's an easy thing to overlook. I right-clicked on each album to check it and now I can play more than one song.

Itunes match plays half of my songs only iphone

I have an album i bought and added it to iTunes, on my mac. On the mac it plays fine no issues but on my iPhone though iTunes match it plays half way through the song then the sound stops as if the rest of the song is muted. On some occasions the sound of the next song comes out but the progress bar is still showing it playing the previous song.

I am having the same issues. Certain songs only play for 15 seconds on iPad or iPhone (both running iOS 7) before skipping to the next song. It is a mix of matched, purchased, and uploaded songs. All songs play just fine on both my MacBook and PC, both downloaded and streaming from the cloud. Doesn't matter if the music is downloaded or not on the iOS device, both ways have the same problem with songs only playing for 15 seconds.
The kicker is that these songs used to play just fine on my iPad and iPhone, it only started acting up a day or two ago. Apple...please help...
Would also like to add that AppleTV plays them just fine as well from iTunes match...clearly an iOS only problem...

Itunes 10 freezes when trying to play different songs one after another.

in itunes 10 when i try to play one song, then want to play another--it lags/freezes horribly. Itunes 9 didn't do this. is this just a bug--that might get fixed with an update?? please this is VERY ANNOYING.
