Hi Youckle,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
You can download any items you purchased from the iTunes Store directly to your iPad if they are not syncing properly.  Here's how:

If you have manually manage set, you do not sync.

Her iPhone will need to be set up to iTunes Match using your Apple ID to be able to share music via iTunes Match. Otherwise you'll have to download the music to your computer and then copy those tracks into her iTunes library, assuming hers is separate.

  • ITunes match being weird on iPad

    Hey,
    Ok, here is my problem.
I have a huge music collection and I tried to add it to iTunes match from my MacBook air. During the iTunes match process it crashed a few times and generally didn't go well, the music collection ended up in a bad iCloud state with lots of the cloud symbols with the exclamation mark in the middle. I then switched iTunes match on on my iPad and the music collection was in a similar state: lots of greyed out songs, some played, some didn't, etc etc
So I then deleted the whole music collection on my Mac taking care to tick the "also delete from iCloud box" so I could start again and give iTunes match another go from scratch. I then added some of the collection bit by bit and it went a lot better on iTunes match. The music collection now seems good with no errors and everything seems to play well. I have only added about 5% of it, but it's looking good so far.
Now here is my problem: I then switched on iTunes match on my iPad and it just sees what was there before: loads of songs that I haven't added yet to iCloud, greyed out songs, errors, etc etc. How can I make my iPad see iTunes match in the state it is now on my Mac, the state it actually is in iCloud?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks.

It actually says 'this device is already associated with an apple id and i cannot use it for match for 37days. What the **** is going on? All my apple id's are the same one. Tis is outrageous for something i've paid for.

  • HT5085 iTunes Match not working on iPad

I have an iPad and an iPhone both in iCloud and iMatch. The iTunes Match button on my iPad will not stay on and therefore library on iPad is not current. Can someone tell me how to ensure iTunes Match works with my iPad as well.

    Hey tweb1216,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you may be having some network connectivity issues, which would explain why your Wi-Fi enabled devices are encountering the problems. It may be good to run through the following network troubleshooting articles:

  • After I download a 256 kbps song using ITunes Match, how do I get it to play on my computer at the higher bit rate once I turn ITunes Match off again?

After I download a 256 kbps song from the cloud using ITunes Match, how do I get it to play on my computer once I turn ITunes Match off again? I have been using ITunes Match for awhile now to increase the bit rate on songs to 256 kbps.  Once I download the songs at the new bit rate, I turn off Match because I want to eliminate duplicates. Usually there is no problem. This time, however, 278 of my songs lost their file association and were unplayable unless I locate the song files within my computer.  These are songs purchased from Amazon.  In order to play them again in ITunes (Match is now off), I must locate each song file individually (I've tried to do it in bulk but have not succeeded) but now the bit rate has returned to the lower number BEFORE I matched the song.  I should have never used Match in the first place. Any ideas, anyone?

I discovered that the NEW 256 bit file does reside on my computer, in the ITunes files (My Music/ITunes/ITunes Media/Music.  So I can bring the songs back as 256 kbps, and I have been successful now at locating more than one file at a time, by clicking on the "find other missing files" tab in the popup window.  Previously, I'd been going back to my Amazon files, and not only was I unable to bring back a 256 version, but the popup window would not locate similar files.  So while I wish ITunes Match would automatically associate the ITunes Match file, at least I can retrive the file association without hours and hours of work.

  • Ive just subscribed to itunes match. do i need internet access to play tunes when not using my home broadband?

ive just subscribed to itunes match. do i need internet access to play tunes when not using my home broadband?

On an iOS device yes unless you pre-download the music. On your computer no, unless you decide to delete the tracks from your iTunes library. The latter is not recommended without having a full backup of your muaic files.

    Hi folks,
I found a solution in case your MATCH is still buggy...
JUST BOOT YOUR MAC HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY (until you see a progress bar).
Then in itunes disable and re-enable iTunes Match.
It should rescan all your library and eventually works.
At the end just reboot your Mac normally.
    Best regards from Paris.

  • HT204406 Can I use iTunes Match without Genius turned on?  Genius is fine but Match then sends me additional music to my Libary that I don't want

Can I use iTunes Match without Genius turned on?  Genius is fine but Match then sends me additional music to my Libary that I don't want

Without a computer you will not be able to do any managing of the music in the cloud. There is no way to edit any metadata on an iOS device.
Also, iTunes Match is not a backup service and should not be relied up as such. With no computer you will not have any backups of your music.

Can you locate the iTunes Library.itl file on the old drive? Ideally you would have simply copied over the entire iTunes folder structure from <User's Music> on the old computer into <User's Music> on the new one to transfer the library will all playlists, ratings, play counts etc. intact.

  • Some songs Downloaded to iPhone 4S via iTunes Match Skip

    Hello -
I am using the following versions of iTunes and iPhone 4S:
    iTunes: 10.07.0.21
    iPhone: 6.0.1
I recently bought an album in physical format (i.e. Compact Disc) via an online retailer. When the album arrived, I imported it into my iTunes library. Once imported, I selected "Store > Update iTunes Match." Once the album was matched, I deleted the copy from the library and retained the one I had just matched on iCloud. I have used this process countless times in the past to match my music collection and iTunes Match has worked as expected (with the exception of the occasional album artwork not being displayed).
Unfortunately, I am experiencing some strange issue now. When I download this particular album to my iPhone using iTunes Match, the first track starts and immediately skips (e.g. the title of the track is displayed very briefly but no sound is heard) to either the second or third track. What's odd is that the song plays as expected when streamed, and occasionally works when I have no other albums downloaded to the iPhone. After spending $25.00 on iTunes Match and purchasing this new album, I find this bug to be very frustrating as it renders my new album somewhat unlistenable.
I have tried the following procedures in the hopes of fixing this issue with no success:
    1. I Have verified Shuffle is not on.
    2. I have deleted the album from iTunes Match and rematched from my library.
    3. I have turned iTunes Match off, deleted all music locally, rebooted device, turned iTunes Match on, and redownloaded the album.
    4. I have restored my iPhone from backup.
In addition to the above steps, I contacted Apple Support and have had a useless mail thread with a representative who clearly doesn't read my e-mails. I have told the representative in each mail I've sent that I am using iTunes Match when experiencing this issue, yet in her recent mail she tries to upsell me by telling me "Unfortunately you can only redownload songs you have purchased. Have you heard of iTunes Match?"
This is really frustrating me. I evangelize the product and feature constantly and to have it behave in such a broken manner is extremely irritating, especially when the support mail has been completely useless. If anyone could please provide some guidance I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    -Paulie1up

  • Update itunes match info on the ipad. How?

This is on an iPad (iOS 7.1.2).  I use iTunes Match (25,000 song limit account) where all my contents are MP3's from my CD's, either matched, or uploaded.  My library is large (24900+ tracks).
The contents of my iTunes Match library are not displaying properly.  If I choose "Albums", the listing on the iPad is not sorted alphabetically.  This happens when "Group by Album Artist" is on or off.
The display and management of the music contents is correct on my other iOS device (iPhone 5) and in iTunes.
I have turned iTunes Match off and back on on the iPad; deleted all music contents ion the iPad Settings General, Usage; updated iTunes Match in iTunes Store menu.  The display of the music contents is still fragmented and not correct on the iPad.
Any idea how to fix this?
    Aloke

No, you are not tecnically "streaming" music--althought it appears like that.  Basically your iTunes Match makes your library available online.  Whichever music you wish to listen to is downloaded to your device for playback.  My understanding of Streaming is playback of media file not permanently stored on your local drive or device (i.e. Netflix).  So you can't have total access to 25GB of music on a 16GB device, without first deleting some songs on your device and then downloading another set of songs.  (Deleting songs on your device does not delete it from iCloud).

  • Doesn't iTunes Match give me more iPad space?

Can't download TV shows from iTunes -- and I'm subscribing to iTunes Match.  I have 14.9 of 15 in iCloud storage, why can't I purchase a TV show from the iTunes store?  I get an error message saying I do not have enough local memory.  How does local memory apply?  I thought that by subscribing to iTune Match, my 1000 songs are now stored in the iCloud.  If so, why is "local storage" an issue?  I thought I pushed all my songs and my four other TV episodes to the iCloud using Match.  Shouldn't that free up space on my iPad?  Just want to buy one episode of Arrow and get "insufficient local space"!  Help.
PS  What have I gained by paying the $25 fee?  (I won't go into the fact that now some of my songs loaded into iTunes Librarty from CDs are unplayable.)

I don't know what ITM is.
iTM = iTunes Match. It is a convinent abbreviation.
    CoreCarebody wrote:
Also, if I've run my songs throught the Match process, isn't too late to fix those unplayable tracks?  Or, if I disable ITM, can I rerun the Match process, and then enable the ITM?
iTunes Match does not scan and match on an iOS device. What most likely happened is that you enabled the service on the iOS device before the initial scan in iTunes was finished. This has resulted in tracks that are "unplayable." Just follow the directions in my original post and the trouble should clear up.

Connected my iPad to my desktop and there is a bar that shows how the storage is being used.  About one-fourth is music, one-fifth by apps, and a lot (almost all the rest) by "other".
WIth iTunes Match enable on an iOS device traditional syncing via USB is disabled. Follow the directions in my original reply, while iTM is disabled, to delete all the music on the iOS device.

  • Some songs imported from CDs are no longer explicit, iTunes Match has made them the edited versions.

I've been subscribed to iTunes Match and have had no major issues with it so far. However, I noticed recently that some of my songs which are explicit versions on my home computer have been converted to the edited version in iTunes Match. The odd thing is that different songs on the same album will be edited and unedited (e.g. The Blueprint 3 - Empire State of Mind is edited while On to the Next One is unedited). Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or why it is happening?
-Also I use iTunes Match on multiple devices. My iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1, MacBook Pro & iMac running 10.8.2 and Lenovo Thinkpad running Windows 7. I've experienced the problem on the Lenovo & iPhone. I haven't checked my MacBook Pro because I don't listen to music on it much. The actual music is located on the iMac HDD.
    Thanks!
    Jordan

This is a know issue and has been discussed extensively on this forum. You should inform iTunes Store support about the mismatches.
So you have the "correct" versions of the songs on your iOS device, turn off iTM, sync the explicit tracks via USB, then re-enable iTM.
