ITunes Match won´t allow me to see my playlist in my iPad2

I made a reproduction list at itunes, then when I synchronize my iPad 2, it wont appear in the iPad, nor in the resume music area from itunes, since it says itunes match is activated, I want the music to be IN the iPad, not in the cloud... this iPad is for my daughter and she has no internet service but when she is at home, so I wish to have my playlists as we did before, what do I have to do?... Please help!!! =(

You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • ITunes Match won't allow me to delete playlist, How can I fix this.

I was trying to clean up my iTunes library, by deleting some old playlist that are not doing the work for me anymore. Guess what?, after I had deleted all the playlist I didn't need, iTunes Match restore them all when I did an iTunes match update. I want to stop this from happening, please help.

Stop invoking the Update iTunes Match command after you delete the playlists. There is no reason for you to use it in this situation. Just delete the playlist from iTunes or the iOS device and they will be removed from all the devices.

  • HELP!  I got a new iPhone and want to download my music from my computer so I don't have to down load song by song on my phone.  iTunes Match won't let me copy it from my computer.  What do I do?

I have iTunes Match and it's been fine until now. I'm trying to download my music to my phone so I don't have to use the wifi to play it all the time.....but iTunes match won't let me copy from my computer without shutting it off. If I do that then turn it back on then I lose all the music anyway.
I'm so frustrated and can't download song by song to my phone.
    help.

If you mean you want to sync your music from your computer to your iPhone you need to disable iTunes Match on the iPhone. Go to Settings > Music and set to iTunes Match to OFF (not green). You may need to wait a few minutes for the change to register with iTunes. Connect the iPhone via USB/Thunderbolt and sync the music.

For the last few weeks, the iTunes store has been displayed with empty graphic rectangles (with a blue box containing a white question mark centered in the rectangles), bits of text, and some buttons. The page extends quite a ways, including what I assume would be all the links to all the music...
If all you are trying to do is buy music, you can easily buy MP3s at any online music download store (e.g. amazon.com) and add them to your iTunes library.

  • ITunes Match won't upload non-matched songs on my home network

As it says in the subject, iTunes Match won't upload non-matched songs on my home network. For a while I thought the problem was with iTunes Match itself. And maybe it still is somehow. But I recently discovered the problem only occurs on my own home network. Any time I add a song to iTunes that isn't in the iTunes store, it should upload it. But instead it just loops in failed attempts to upload, always stopping and starting over at step 1. Occasionally I'll get error messages like -9810, but more often it'll just continue to loop for hours on end. I recently took my MBP to a coffee shop and used their wifi and tried it there, and the songs uploaded without any problem at all. I never used to have this issue over the entire year I was using iTunes Match. My only guess as to what might have caused the issue is when we downgraded the speed of our internet. I can't recall for certain whether that was the exact time my issues began, but it's the only possible change I can think of. I've tried rebooting the router, turning iTunes Match and Genius off and on, rebooting the computer, creating a new iTunes Library, all not solving my problem. Any other ideas?

There's a longer thread discussing this problem over here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4160355?start=120&tstart=0
What I posted there is that if I enable QOS on my router and limit my upload bandwidth (I used a cap of 1024 kilobits/second) then iTunes Match stops looping and will successfully upload songs and complete match.
There aren't any blocked ports, it's really just iTunes being a pig and oversaturating the internet connection to a point of failure.
Super frustrating, it's been a bug for months. I wish I had a better solution.

  • Itunes now won't allow users to categorise videos ie. move from Film to Podcast

Itunes now won't allow users to categorise videos ie. move from Film to Podcast.  Why not? Infuriating.
Respect your customers or you'll lose us! Android/Windows are flexible.

Just to add, itunes needs to allow users to define their own file hierachy

  • Itunes Match won't stream certain tracks after IOS 6.1 update

OK...so...I updated to IOS 6.1 and now itunes match won't stream ANYTHING over 45 minutes long if it's over a 3G connection and not wireless.  Being that itunes match is primarily for use outside of the house i'm wondering; how can this be useful to anyone?  I have a lot of shows on my itunes that are three hours long but now (due to the update) i can't listen to any of them...unless i'm in the house...which is not why i bought itunes match.  Anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening?

I'm unfortunately in exactly the same situation. Following update to 6.1 on my iPhone 5, I'm prompted every 10 seconds to enter my iTunes password if I re-enable iMessage logged in as my iTunes account rather than phone number.
I have not found a way to make it stop prompting so iMessage is currently not useable by me.  This is quite frustrating, Apple's standards have been on a rapid decline for some time. I'm at the point now where I'm reluctant to install updates when they come out due to the frequent regressions such as this I've encountered.
If anyone has a solution, I'd love to know.

  • ITunes Match won't recognize my MBA equipped with a new SSD

    Hi,
Here's the situation: I replaced the SSD in my late 2010 MBA to add storage space. Everything went perfectly well and I have been using it for weeks, no problem whatsoever with any of my iCould stuff - calednar entries, contacts etc. as everything was transferred over by making a back-up of the old SSD onto the new one and re-instlaling Mavericks to the new one.
I also have been using iTunes Match for years and love it: ATV, IOS devices are all connected and work perfectly. Until I tried using iTunes Match on the MBA equipped with the new SSD. Note that my iTunes music (not the library file) sits in an external drive connected to my Home network which I don't currentl have access to. That's also teh reason why I signed up for Match: once synced, I didn't have to connect to tht drive and could travel while still having access to all my music.
The library only sees two local songs that were downloaded recenrly after I purchased them on the iTunes Store. I'm still using the same Apple ID nothing changed, but iTunes isn't showing any of my iTunes Match songs in there. I checked Match had been turned on (it is), I checked that I didn't max out on the number of devices (I haven't) and even checked availability of iTunes Match in other countries (temporarily in France), but otherwise residing in the US.
So now, when I try to "add this computer" to iTunes Match, it gives me the following error:
Only one library can be matched at a time. If you continue, the other iTunes Match session will be stopped and this computer's library will be matched instead.
=> Seeing that the "old" library and the "new" one technically come from the same Mac (only now it has a new SSD drive), I'm at a loss and scared to have all of my previously synced/matched songs deleted from itunes Match if I only sync the two local files that were just downloaded/purchased.  <=
Would appreciate any help or suggestions please.
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
You often get this message when match thinks that you already have a match in progess on another computer.
If you are happy that all your music is on your new hard drive (or if it is only in the cloud), you should select "this computer".

  • ITunes Match won't get past Step 1

    Hi,
I know a lot of people are having trouble with getting past Step 2 at the moment in iTunes Match, but I was just wondering if anyone else was having troubles getting past Step 1? Last night, even just trying to match one song, I was stuck at Step 2, but this morning, it's not even getting past Step 1 (when it had always previously done this very fast), just saying "Sending information to Apple" forever! Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this. Thanks!

I have the same problem. Neither Genius nor iTunes Match will get past Step 1. They have worked in the past so there must be some hang up with added music or a change in the backend.
I have tried deleting iTunes Library Extras.itdb and iTunes Library Genius.itdb, and while this does cause the process to restart it doesn't allow it to complete.
    Help!

  • My iTunes Match won't load past step 1; All songs in my library say "Exceeded Limit", even the ones that were uploaded before.

My iTunes Match hasn't been working for a couple of days. It said I had exceeded the song limit, so I was going through my library and clearing out some songs. When I deleted the songs, the box that asked if I wanted to delete them from the cloud wasn't showing up. I decided to update my iTunes Match before deleting anything else. When I attempted the update, Step 1 moved incredibly slowly, then stopped working before reaching Step 2. When this has happened in the past, I have been advised to try several troubleshooting tactics from the support forum and from writing to Apple support in the past. The first one is to turn off iTunes Match, restart the computer, and turn on iTunes Match again. I did that. The same problem occurred. I tried the second trouble shooting tactic, which was to turn off iTunes Match, close iTunes, find the iTunes Library Genius.itdb and iTunes Library Extras.itdb and move them to the trash, then run a Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility, then turn iTunes Match back on. I tried that. The same problem occurred. I went to my iTunes library to see the iCloud status of my songs, and every single song was listed as not being in the cloud yet and had the "Exceeded Limit" status, even the songs that have been in my cloud for over a year. I checked a few of the forum topics here on the support site. One suggested opening up iTunes while holding down the Option button, creating a new library, then turning on iTunes Match and deleting songs from the cloud that way. Then open up the original library and turn on iTunes Match. I did that. The status of my songs hasn't changed, nor can iTunes Match load past Step 1. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Maybe I didn't explain it properly, but that's one of the things I described trying in my first post. It helped get songs out of my cloud that I didn't need there, but iTunes Match still couldn't get past the first step. Last night I deleted the iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes library Genius.itdb, iTunes Library.it, and iTunes Library.xml files from my computer, entered Time Machine, and recovered those same files that had been backed up after the last time I added music (the time the problem began.) After recovering those files I opened iTunes and turned Match back on. For some reason, it worked, even though those were the files that existed when the problem initially occurred. The combination of having songs removed from the cloud as well as restoring those original files must have done something, but I have no idea why that fixed the problem.

  • ITunes Match won't play complete songs, why?

I got itunes match when it first came out.
I am running iTunes 10.5.2 for Windows (hopefully getting a Mac soon).
    I have a black iPhone 4S 32GB, and a black iPad 2 32GB, AT&T 3G.
Both devices are running iOS 5.0.1.
When I play songs from iTunes on my computer, everything is perfect.  All songs play all the way through.
When I play songs from iPad or iPhone, many, many songs will NOT play all the way through.  Most of these songs stop playing about half-way or 3/4 of the way thru the song.  For the most part, THESE ARE SONGS PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM ITUNES!!
The music timer will keep running, like the song is still playing, but it is just dead air.  Sometimes it jumps to the next track, and it will play the next track even though the music timer is still running and still showing the original song title, not the next track title.
Some of the songs from my personal collection do the same thing, but so far it is mostly content I paid Apple for thru iTunes.
Why won't it play the complete song?  I have had a ticket open for weeks on this issue.  I have spoken with Apple Tech Support no less than four times.  I have even spoken with Tech Support Supervisors, I even have Tech Support manager's phone numbers, but nobody knows anything.
I have turned off iTunes Match, turned it back on. Done a complete restore on iPad and iPhone.  Deleted specific songs, readded them.  I've re-downloaded the entire music library twice.  I am very close to giving up.  iTunes match could be so sweet, but for me it is terribly broken.
I have searched these forums for ideas, but have come up empty.  Anybody having these issues?  Any ideas on how to resolve it?

i am doing all of this at home, while connected to high-speed wifi.  when i say high speed wifi, i mean like over 40 Mbps downstream (say what you will about CableOne, but they have screaming data speeds).
the problem files are "normal songs" approx 4 or 5 minutes or less. again, they were purchased from the itunes store.
for what it's worth, about two hours ago, i uninstalled itunes completely from my computer, restarted the machine, then redownloaded itunes from apple.com.  i also reset both devices (ipad and iphone) again.
i turned off itunes match on both devices, signed out of the store in both devices (settings/store/apple id) then set everything back up from scratch.  after all this, the same exact thing is happening with the same exact songs.
funny thing is this:  it always happens to the very same songs, and the music cuts off at exactly the same time, down to the exact second.  the source file shouldn't be corrupted because the file is from itunes, and because if i play it directly on my computer on itunes, it plays perfectly.
    VERY MYSTERIOUS.

  • ITunes Match Won't Recognize Album Title Capitalization Changes

Up until recently, I've always had the first letter of every album title in my music collection capitalized (i.e. "The Dark Side Of The Moon" vs. "The Dark Side of the Moon").  But recently, I wanted to change this, in order to make everything grammatically correct, and so I did.  All the changes propagated just fine to my Macs, but the changes were not recognized on my iOS devices (iPhone/iPad).  It seems no matter what I do (manually updating iTunes Match, turning it on and off on my iOS devices), the changes just aren't made.  It's as if the album title is locked in and no changes will be accepted, unless you change the actual title.  For instance, if I changed the album title to "The Dark Side of the Moons", it would work.  But if I then changed it back, it were revert to the previous capitalization.  I only have this problem with album titles.  Song titles are perfectly fine.
Like many things regarding iTunes Match, it's frustrating and nonsensical, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one having this problem and, if so, is there yet another work around?
    Thanks!

Thanks, Jim.  Unfortunately, while that sounded like a pretty good idea, that fix didn't work for me.
Instead of dealing with third party stuff and digging into the file system, I thought I'd see what would happen if I just turned off iTunes Match on my iOS devices, and manually synced the offending albums.  I figured by manually syncing them, it would force the library database to change and display it correctly, and it did.  Once I did this, I turned on iTunes Match, and sure enough, everything displayed correctly.  Turned off iTunes Match, so I could unsync the albums, and turned it back on, and now it's working just fine.  Also fixed a couple of pesky albums that wouldn't sort right.  The downside, if I ever needed to make more capitalization changes, I have to do this.
Unfortunately, like many things with iTunes Match, I ended up trading a headache for a toothache, as all of that syncing ended up completely screwing up my play counts, by double and tripling them.  But, hey, the capitalization is now working fine!

  • I turned on itunes match on my iphone, but still seeing lots of artists without the cloud icon???

    Hi ...
I turned on itunes match on my iphone, selected "enable" and first turned OFF the slider that says "show ALL music" ... I still saw a bunch of artists (about 100)
Then I turned the slider to ON and saw about 600 artists (as it should be), but those 100 artists do NOT have the cloud icon next to them (meaning that somehow the music is actually "ON" the iphone) ...
can someone explain?? I thought it would be empty except for icloud, and then the things I download from icloud??

If they do not have the cloud next to them on your iOS device, it means that the song is cached on your device.  As your device runs low on space, it clears the cached songs and you'll see the cloud next to it.  Each time you listen to a song, the song is actually downloaded while you listen.  Next time you listen, it's off the device, not the cloud.

  • ITunes Match won't upload new songs.

iTunes Match gets stuck "sending information to iTunes" when I add new songs to my library.

I just started having this issue on Sunday 7-27-14.  I've successfully Updated my iTunes Match with several new albums over the last several days and then all of a sudden yesterday iTunes Match is stuck on Step 2: Matching your music with songs in the ITunes Store.  All of my music and my main iTunes library are on my iMac desktop.  Although I don't think this matters the music I'm having the issue with is the Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare.  It has 12 songs.  One song, #3, D is for Dangerous matched and is in my library.  It can be accessed/downloaded from my other devices running my iTunes Match. (iPhone 5 and Macbook Air).  The other 11 songs are stuck in the Waiting iCloud Status when viewing them in my songs list on the iMac.  What is weird is that the other 11 songs do show on my iPhone and Macbook but they can not be played/downloaded.  They are there but are faded out with no download symbol next to them (except for #3). See photos.  In the middle photo you will see that 9544 of 9555 songs have been checked. It is the 11 songs from the Arctic Monkeys album that are hung up and stuck.  ??????????
Additional update: Before posting this I deleted all 12 songs from my library and from iCloud, then Updated iTunes Match successfully (there were no changes) and then added the 12 songs back into my library.  When I Updated iTunes Match again it gets hung up on the 11 songs.  #3 was a success again.

  • TS1424 I purchased iTunes match--won't let me  do it..error 4001

but it won't load and keeps giving me error 4001. I am doing this on my MBP and am very frustrated>?
I have already tried holding down option key and going to store and turning off itunes match and then turning it on again---doesn't work
Do i have to reboot my mac?
close itunes and open it up again?
your help will be much appreciated!
