Itunes match wont upload songs that are 64 kbps and lower

so i have about 7 songs that are 64 kbps or lower and it says they are ineligable to upload HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could select the songs and re-encode them into 128 kbps AAC.  The quality will be pretty much the same albeit a twice as large file, but you'll be able to upload those files and access them.
If you have the original CDs, re-rip them at 128 Kbps or higher.  THAT would be the best quality solution as suggested by Sparta! above.

  • HT1351 iTunes keeps adding back songs that are unchecked and manually deleted from my iPhone?

I am trying to get rid of songs on my iphone.  I sync manually only certain playlists, I have double checked to make sure that these songs are neither in my playlists and or unchecked if they are in the Purchased Playlist for example?  I have manually deleted them from my iphone only to have itunes add them back once I sync
    What am I missing?

I am also having a similar problem. I have at least 100 songs I deleted from my itunes library and from my iphone that keep showing back up on my iphone. I have manually deleted them repeatedly from my iphone and yet they continue to show back up on the phone. They are not listed in my library so I have no idea where they are coming back from as they are not in the cloud either. I have also emptied the trash on my Macbook, so they cannot be coming from there either I would love for this to stop, as I keep getting a statement that my iphone is full, but if these 100 songs would stay off of my phone that woulld not be the case.

If I do not resubscribe after the first year with itunes match will any songs that have been upgraded in quality lose this upgrade or will it remain?

    Dottie,
If you want to upgrade the quality of a song in your library, you have to delete the library copy and download the matched copy.
Once it is downloaded, it will stay in your library even you don't renew Match.

If they are showing in the Videos app with a cloud then go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and set Videos (under the 'Show All') heading 'off' - you might (depending upon which country that you arein) have a similar button for music and the Music app.

  • Will iTunes Match re-upload songs replaced in Library at higher bitrate?

In my iTunes Library (18,000+ tracks, mainly ripped from my own CDs), I have tracks ripped at different bitrates, from 128, 160, 256, 320 kbps, as well as Apple Lossless. Given how cheap storage has become since I first ripped many of my CDs, I am going through my CD collection one last time and re-ripping everything into Apple Lossless (ALAC) format. I am starting with the tracks that are in the Library now at 128 & 160 kbps. Many of these songs have been matched by iTunes Match, so they are available to me from iTunes at 256 kbps, but I will still create ALAC versions.
My question is about the tracks that iTunes Match has uploaded to Apple. When I replace the tracks in my Library recorded at low bitrates with the ALAC version, I would like for iTunes Match to notice and re-upload the new file. I understand that iTunes Match will convert ALAC files and upload them at a max of 256 kbps, but right now it seems that iTunes Match does not recognize changes in the underlying file on my computer. For example, if a track was originally uploaded as 128 kbps and then I replace it in my Library with an ALAC version, the 128 kbps version stays on Apple's servers instead of being replaced by a 256 kbps version. I have tested this by downloading tracks from the cloud on other machines connected to my account and they come down at 128 kbps, even though an ALAC file is in the "master" Library.
So my question: is there a way to get iTunes to replace uploaded files on Apple's servers with the highest bitrate version possible if you change the local file after it has been uploaded?
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Drew

    Hippogreen,
I chose not to follow your Item 4, ie, I am ripping new ALAC tracks directly over the lower bitrate tracks in my existing Library. I just did not want all the extra labor involved in recreating playlists when I reimport, and I did not want to lose the metadata of playcounts, date original imported to library, etc.
If you do as I am doing and want the new ALAC track to directly replace the existing ones in your Library, your Item 1 is relevant:
    1) If I have heavily corrected the metadata of a track and it is substantially different from the info provided by iTunes (when I re-rip the CD into ALAC format), how will iTunes know that it is a duplicate?  I assume I will have to manually de-duplicate in such a situation.  I am thinking of uploaded rather than matched tracks.
Like you, I had heavily corrected and personalized metadata, including my preferred capitalizations (often very different from Gracenote and the automated data from iTunes!), track performers, etc. I wanted to preserve all of that, but if your tracks' metadata differs from that which is automatically supplied when you insert a CD, then iTunes will not offer to replace the existing tracks. The solution for me was an AppleScript I found at the fantastic website Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes (dougscripts.com). Get the script "Copy Track Info to CD Tracks v1.3". The URL is:
    http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=trackinfotocdtracks
This script copies all of your personailzed metadata to the CD tracks so that your own metadata is preserved while iTunes recognizes that the CD is already in your library and replaces the tracks. You can read the complete instructions at dougscripts.com and in the included documentation. It has been a lifesaver, and is truly the only way I have been able to move forward quickly re-ripping my CDs into ALAC.
Note also that when iTunes "replaces" the existing tracks with the new ALAC versions, it does not actually delete the original files. They remain in the same folder where originally stored, but they just become unlinked from the iTunes Library entries. The new files are linked to the iTunes entries, but you are not in danger of losing your original files. You have to go in and delete them manually if you want, or keep them.

  • ITunes Match only plays songs that were uploaded to the Cloud

I posted this once before back a couple of months ago and never did get it working.
I have an iPhone 4s and I purchased iTunes match about a year ago. My library was about 5,000 songs.  I was able to use iTunes Match flawlessly on cellular or WiFi and play any of my music.  Then I upgraded to iOS7, big mistake.  Ever since that upgrade back in September, when I am on cellular I can only play music that was not matched but uploaded to the cloud.  For example, when in my car I can play a live Phish show that I added to iTunes and that was uploaded to the cloud when I updated iTunes Match from my laptop, but I can't play the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers because it was matched and not uploaded.
I have reset the phone to factory and manullay installed my apps again.  I have turned off match and reset my phone, crossed my fingers, etc...
What happens when I try to play a "matched album" on cellular, it acts like it is going to play but sits at 0:00 for about 20 seconds and then skips ahead and attempts to play the next track.  Everything plays fine on WiFi.
Has anyone lese had this issue and if so any suggesttions?  I am so frustrated with the whole experience right now.  I just went to the support page to submit a ticket to Apple and apparently I don't have support anymore because I have the phone for a year. I don't what to do.

Another oddity I just discovered is that if I turn on wifi hotspot on my phone and connect my iMac to my phone's 3G service then iTunes on my iMac will stream music just fine from iTunes match (yes, the music was only in the cloud, not on my drive).
I've tried everything I can think of to get iTunes Match to play tracks over cellular.. including totally deauthorizing all my computers and devices, totally removing all tracks my itunes match in the cloud and re-scanning/uploading everything. Purchased new tracks, and they won't play unless they are downloaded. But they will play just fine when previeing them for purchase in iTunes app.

  • Itunes Match Wont Upload 2000 Songs

    I just got itunes match,
I let it do its thing for a few hours and it started to upload the music.
Then my interent crashed because the bell lines in my aera suck some times. and now I'm trying to get it to work again and it just stays at the point after
    step 1 Sending to apple.
Now, I went out of the house and I went and did some shoping and I got this error when I got back
Itunes says "We could not complete your itunes Store Request. An unkown error occurred (4002). Please try later
Well is this not great or what?
I think the servers are just over taken by the latest wwdc confrence but still, its 2012 could apple not run wwdc and itunes match at the same time?

    Hi,
This is a problem with genius.
Turn off iTunes match. This will delete genius results. Sign out /then back into iTunes store.
Turn genius back on then after genius has been updated, update iTunes matched. You will be asked to add the computer again.
    Trust this works.

  • HT4914 iTunes match not uploading songs

I have uploaded a vinyl copy of quite a few artists from my collection and it appears that iTunes match is not recognising them and replacing the uploaded content with one of better quality as stated!
The one which came to my notice first of all was Queen- She Makes Me ( Stormtrooper in Stilletos) from The album Sheer Heart Attack. This album is in iTunes!
    Any ideas??????

I'm a little confused you said iTunes Match is not recognizing them and replacing with better quality. If iTunes Match doesn't recognize a song it will upload the version that is on your computer. If it does recognize it you'll have access to the 256KBps version on all devices immediately (wont need to upload).

  • TS4124 Is there an option not to upload songs that are not matched in the iTunes library

I don't want to upload all songs not matched, not necessary and adds no value. Should be an option to skip this step and proceed after matching all songs in iTunes library

Please disregard. I found the problem. The 3 songs were duplicates so everything was synching correctly.

  • Is there a way to import CDs into iTunes 11 without importing songs that are already in my library?

Prior versions of iTunes would ask whether I wanted to import duplicate songs when I inserted a CD, but this feature seems to have gone away in iTunes 11.  (Though if this feature does exist and can be enabled, that would be the ideal solution.)  Importing the entire CD and then searching and deleting duplicates is less than optimal, as I have a massive music library and a lot of CDs to import, many with duplicates.  Thanks in advance!

    No. Its not possible.
Alternatively, create another user account in your computer. Install iTunes in that account with the library you wish to sync.
