ITunes movie download stopped; incorrect error - insufficient capacity

I rented a movie. Prior to rental I cleared some apps to ensure I had enough capacity to store the movie.
The movie got cutoff about halfway through the download as I was travelling and had to leave the wifi area.
Upon attempting to restart, two things occurred:
- the download started at the beginning not where it left off
- I received an out of capacity (or other such message) indicating not enough space.
I went to videos and had to delete the half downloaded movie.
I returned to my downloads and attempted to start again only to receive the same error.
Help!

Try logging out of your iTunes account, then logging back in.
Try connecting the iPad to the synced PC as well to try to resume or restart the download
Also try resetting the iPad:
Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

ITunes Movie Extras stopping with error -19

After download completes for a Movies iTunes Extras package, the program processes the download package and then stops with an Error = -19
Does anyone know what this error is or how it can be corrected? I've searched everywhere and haven't seen any information about this.

I've had this problem myself recently with 2 Blu-Ray films which came with iTunes copies. Both films downloaded fine, but the iTunes Extras for both fail to complete with the same error code.
I've been in touch with Apple who responded really quickly, and they have basically solved nothing. They gave me a small walkthrough to do which I was unable to complete because one step required removing a folder from my machine which didn't exist in the first place. The same person has been back in touch with me 3 times now, following it up (which is nice of them at least, they don't just forget about the problem) but the problem persists to the point where I'm convinced it will never be fixed, as the Customer Service rep has basically had me retry the same thing over and over...
I'm at the stage where I'm willing to just concede defeat, at least I have the extras on Disc too I suppose.
I'm just about to reply to his last email asking if the problem was still there, if I get anywhere further I'll be sure to let you know! But I'd suggest trying to email them yourself too and see if the reply you get actually works!

Closed Caption Features for iTune Movie Downloads?

While I was glad to see that Apple plans to offer a movie download service with the iTunes Store, I'm still inclined to NOT use the service if there's no assurance that closed captioned/subtitled movies will be available as well.
Will iTunes Movie downloads include captioned media?
Today's DVDs all have features enabling us to turn on captions/subtitles and it's already a shame that Netflix, according to a representative's comment made nearly two years ago, will not provide captioned movies "until the near future"...
I hope Apple takes its hearing-impaired (deaf and hard of hearing) customer base into consideration...and it IS a sizeable customer base.

The question on the minds of the millions of deaf and hard of hearing people is whether Apple will make or enable captioning for their downloadable movies. I blogged about this a few weeks ago at HearingExchange online here: http://www.hearingexchange.com/blogs/?p=93 Apple didn't consider people with hearing loss when they made their iPhone non-compatible with hearing aids and cochlear implant processors. For a technology company, they aren't keeping up with accessibility trends. ITunes Movie Download keeps stopping at 1.64GB

Hiya,
I recently bought the Avengers off iTunes [HD, trying 1080p] but everytime the download gets to around 1.64GB, the timer vanishes and the progress bar stops going up indefinatly, though it says it's still downloading.
The iTunes extra part of the download has installed and works perfectly (it was a seperate download). Occasionally when using the pause/resume all button to try and get the movie download to work the extra came up with a -50 error, but after another reset it downloaded fine. Another issue both have had is the timer starts saying thousnds of hours will be needed for the download after a pause/unpause. The movie is watchable upto about 41 minuets after/during every download
Thing's i have tried:
-Deleting the "Downloads" folder in iTunes media
-Downloading to an external Hard Drive by changing the locatoin of my iTunes Media folder (where the download froze at about 400MB instead of 1.6GB)
-Deleting the film/download file and begging the download anew from "check for availabe downloads"
-Restarting iTunes
-Restarting my computer (2011 13" Mac Book Pro Running Lion 10.7.5)
-Leaving the download to run over night, was still on 1.64GB in the morning.
-Watching/Not Watching whilst downloading.
I might try downloading in SD/720p, but will i be able to download the 1080p version later on if i do so?

I eventually got in touch with iTunes support who could see I still had pending downloads and were quite happy to cancel them and give me a store credit refund. Their advice was to try another movie or leave it for a few weeks as the movie I wanted was under high demand, which may have led to the problems I had (Avengers + Christmas, fair enough really).
...so about 2 days later I tried it again along with the batman trilogy and everything downloaded just fine.
I always hate the idea of going to customer support but I have to say apple's has always been quick, reasonable and helpfull, so just go for it with a detailed explination and you should be fine

ITune Store download stopped (err=8003, -3259, etc.)

Since upgrading to vers. 7 I have troubles downloading TV Shows (f.e. Prison Break Season1) for which I payed for.
The downloads are starting but stopped suddenly with above mentioned error messages. Very annoying also as some of the downloads pursue to about 95%, stop and are restarting from 0% again!
Are there any known problems with the server or can someone please explain possible troubleshooting?

PS: I might add that the Software Upgrade from QuickTime Pro 7.0.2 to 7.1.3 - for which I bought the upgrade - is also not working (although I doubt that has anything to do with the iTune Store Server)

On 25th I got the following mail from iTMS:
1) Before proceeding, make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your Library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.
2) Open iTunes.
3) From the Store menu, choose "Advanced" and then "Deauthorize Audible Account" and then re-authorize it from the same drop-down menu.
4) Enter your account name and password and click OK.
To start downloading your recent purchases, please follow these steps these steps:
Enter your account name and password when prompted, then click the Check button. Your purchase should begin downloading.

- This did not solve the error messages and download problems I have.
- (1) Why would one have to authorize the computer again as it has not been deauthorized?

can't get downloaded itune movies to open.any tips?

I have three computers that are practicably clones of each other and the new itunes update failed on two of them but one worrked fine. Here is fix that worked for me. This fix was suggested by another member but I cannot recall or find his post. My system is WinXP sp3 with all the latest patches.
1. Download AirPort Utility 5.5.1 for Windows http://support.apple.com/downloads/
2. Open task Manager and stop the mdnsresponder process. The corrupted mdnsresponder will be using 50% of your cpu.
3. Open control panel / add remove programs. Find the bonjour app and click on it.
4. Note the corrupted version of bonjour 2.0.0.34 by clicking on the support link.
5. Uninstall bonjour
6. Restart Windows.
7. Install the AirPort Utility. This will install a good working version of mdnsresponder. Restart windows again.
8. Upon restart you will see a new the airport icon in your task tray. You can also find mdnsresponder.exe running under process in task manger with little or no cpu usage. Your bonjour app under add remove panel will now be version 1.0.106

Itunes Movie Downloads

Is it just me or why is it always a problem to download a movie on ITunes? I just don't understandt why the whole movie starts to download all over again after I turn of my phone or if the electricity turns of for a second?! It just deletes the whole parts that already have been downloaded and are already on my phone! It's so frustrating, I'm trying it for 5 days now to download it! Is it possible to download the Movie on the computer and stop the download on the phone without buying a new Movie?

Movies are huge (particularly HD movies), much larger than any music track or podcast. Take a look at this page:

It should give you an idea as to what sort of download times you can expect.
As to whether you can cancel the rental, I don't know. Contact the iTunes Store through the form at the bottom of their Movies FAQ page and explain the situation to them and see if there's anything they can do for you.

This is likely an isse on your network. What is your connection speed? (www.speedtest.net)
8bmps required for 1080P, 6mbps for 720p, 3mbps for SD
Check for interference (www.istumbler or netstumbler)
Check firewall, router (make sure it's up to date, location, try changing channels)

Apple TV/iTunes movie download times

Have had Apple TV for over 2 years but in the last several months, when I rent a movie from iTunes, it takes over 2 hours for the movie to download. This was never the case in the past. It used to just take moments. I have changed NOTHING within my system, nor do I feel I should have to. Could someone explain to me why this is happening? I also use Apple TV to stream my Netflix movies...no lag time at all with those.
It does tell me that I would it to download faster I should change the resolution in "settings". Well, why the **** would I want to do that? And whay suddenly have to do this? Kind of ruins the reason for having a high end SONY flat screen.
Open to ideas.
