Itunes Movie Extra's

My itunes won't let me finish downloading one movie and another movies "itunes extras" it keeps asking me for my password, starting to download and then a few moments later it says stopped (err = 8003) How can I get it to just finish?

I realize this post is from quite some time ago, but it showed up as relevant in my own search to resolve this problem. So hopefully my answer will be equally visible and thus helpful.
Select the movie file within iTunes (not the actual file(s) in the finder) and drag it to the desired location on your external hard drive. While doing so, you'll notice an indicator showing that you're in fact moving two files: the movie (m4v) file and the associated Extras (ite) file.
The first time I attempted this process, I selected the files within the Finder and dragged them to the external hard drive. I was able to play the movie itself from this location, but the Extras wouldn't play. After spending a considerable amount of time searching for a solution I tried the afore mentioned and it worked.
No promises, but hopefully this will work for some of you out there and save you some time and frustration.

Maybe I'm just missing something, but I can't seem to find out how to access iTunes movie extras in 3.0. It's supposed to be there, but the one movie I have with it doesn't give me any noticeable option to access them.
What am I missing here?

Thanks for the answer! I thought that might be the case since it seems to be a single file, although the weird thing is that I've had extras disappear before...
I never have the extras go away.
I like to buy TV shows on iTunes, but I always get my movies on a physical disk, that way I know I really have it.

How do iTunes Movie Extras work within iTunes?

So how does iTunes 9 handle Movie Extras? Are there special tags involved to keep all the pieces linked together? And does the menu work like a regular DVD does?
Are these extras and menus exactly the same as their DVD counterparts and simply ported over to a new kind of format?
I guess Im asking for a basic answer, without going into too much depth here on Discussions. I'd like to eventually create my own home movies with menus and "extra" content. (all accessible from within iTunes under a single movie menu). But for now, Im trying to to get a start on understanding how it all works.

Can you watch iTunes Movies Extras on the iPad?

I just bought the movie "Drive" on iTunes on my ipad2. Itunes states when i next connect on my DESKTOP i will get the extras and i did but -- they won't sync or transfer to my ipad.
What's the deal???

Unable to watch iTunes movie extras on Apple TV

I buy movies on iTunes but cannot watch the extras I paid for on the Apple TV (last year's model) from which I purchased the movies. Is there a trick to this?

Well, NBA @ Apple TV is available in my region, already checked that 28 times.
They just aren't able to release an update prior to the start of preseason and really fumble around till season start (which is in 2 days!)...poor performance.
Is is Apple that is blocking the update or neulion who is lazy as ****?

ITunes Movie Extras stopping with error -19

After download completes for a Movies iTunes Extras package, the program processes the download package and then stops with an Error = -19
Does anyone know what this error is or how it can be corrected? I've searched everywhere and haven't seen any information about this.

I've had this problem myself recently with 2 Blu-Ray films which came with iTunes copies. Both films downloaded fine, but the iTunes Extras for both fail to complete with the same error code.
I've been in touch with Apple who responded really quickly, and they have basically solved nothing. They gave me a small walkthrough to do which I was unable to complete because one step required removing a folder from my machine which didn't exist in the first place. The same person has been back in touch with me 3 times now, following it up (which is nice of them at least, they don't just forget about the problem) but the problem persists to the point where I'm convinced it will never be fixed, as the Customer Service rep has basically had me retry the same thing over and over...
I'm at the stage where I'm willing to just concede defeat, at least I have the extras on Disc too I suppose.
I'm just about to reply to his last email asking if the problem was still there, if I get anywhere further I'll be sure to let you know! But I'd suggest trying to email them yourself too and see if the reply you get actually works!

ITunes Movie Extras - an Extra Entry?

Hi all,
Bought Wall-E last night just to try the new Extras feature. Two downloads followed -one for the movie and one for the extras, which created two separate entries in my iTunes Library. The actual movie said "unknown album".
If you use the itunes Extras entry, it works as advertised - menus, bonus content etc..., but if you use the actual Wall E movie entry - no menus or anything.
Is this the way it is supposed to be? I sure hope not, as it is confusing and nt easy to manage.
They finaly figured out how ot fix the HD SD entirs for TV Shows, I sure hope we don't have to wait for a fix fo this.
the two should be integrated in iTunes - even if the files are not the same.

Where is my pearl jam twenty movie? only itunes movies extras downloaded

I tried restarting the computer and it's like it never existed even though I saw it download!

Films can currently only be re-downloaded by US iTunes accounts (and not all films as not all film studios have so far agreed to it) - if you are not in the US then you won't get films under Purchased. If you want it on you iPhone you will have to copy it from the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync it to the phone.

ITunes 11 - No Movie Extra Sync To iPad

Since I've upgraded to iTunes 11, I'm now unable to sync iTunes Movie Extras to my iPad.
Any body else experiencing this problem?

Did you activate home sharing in both your iTunes and ATV?
Also try signing out of the ATV (Apple ID) and signing back in again.

It seems the "movie files" and the "extra files" are in different folders. I try putting them in the same folder but still this doesn't fix anything. Please help. The "extra files" are in a different folder and I have to open up each "extra feature" manually in order to view them. This is very inconvenient. This is not what I wanted to pay for. Please help. This seems to happen everything I buy a movie. The same thing is happening to the "batman" movie I bought last month. This never happened when Steve Jobs was on the job. Apple seem to be falling apart. I have been in touch with "customer support" for over 2 months now and still they have no clue on how to help me. This is the reason I am asking for help here today. How can I fix...The iTunes Library Extras.itdb file is locked on a 8.1

I can't open iTunes on a lenovo with a Windows 8.1 operating system. I get the following message...
The iTunes Library Extras.itdb file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file.

Thanks! I have been having to open iTunes as an administrator for a year - never could find the answer. Now I am trying to link the account to Disney Movie Rewards and I needed it to open under menot administrator. I deleted the Extras file and then also needed to delete the Genius file. Once that was done it opened immediately.

Which leads me right back to having all the other tv shows & movies that aren't on my laptop downloading but not the actual movie I want. I already have the extras but I really would like the movie .

ITunes movie playback, audio and video not in sync after upgrade to Mountain Lion

After upgrading to Mountain Lion I have problems with iTunes movie playback, and the audio/video at times stalls/delays, or skips a few seconds, or even gets out of sync. I have 2011 iMac 27" with 16G RAM and am running the latest iTunes and Mac OS X software, and shutting down extra programs doesn't help. Please let me know of any solution.

I also have this problem, and some videos will no longer play in iTunes.
I get a message that this video is not compatible with this version of iTunes. I have to open the video in Quicktime to watch it.
Unacceptable! This hardware and software is too expensive to have these performance issues.
2011 Mac Mini, 8GB RAM, Duo core, iTunes library on NAS on wired network. Mountain Lion 10.8.2. iTunes 10.7 64 bit.
