ITunes Movie store in Austria

Hi,
I feel that I am posting that under the wrong category but I didnt know where to post it else..
Does anyone know if there is going to be an iTunes Movie store in Austria? I think it also not available in many other european countries like Belgium, Italy, Swiss, ..
Would be nice if apple would introduce the Itunes movie store in those missing countries..
Thanks,
Max

  • International Access to iTune Movie Store

We will be traveling to France next month and staying in a hotel with wi-fi. Will I be able to access the iTunes movie rentals area on my iPad, select, rent and view movies while abroad?

Yes you will be able to - but ...
terms of use require you to be in the country where your iTMS account is located.
So, renting, purchasing from abroad won't be allowed ...

  • ITunes Movie Store - pros, cons, suggestions

Mainly I am writing this post due to the fact that I could not find anything on title suggestions. Alot of the titles that I have been searching for have failed to produce, and I just had a couple of questions. I am new to the iTunes Store however I have had my iPod for almost a year and been around them since my friend showed me his first back when they first came out.
I am addicted to my iPod now that I have started utilizing the store! It's amazing; if I want some new rap, it's right there; classical, Mozart and Chopin are plentiful... I looked up AC/DC however and that was my first road block. No big deal I just searched something else.
Then I start checking out the Movies area... What do I find? DEXTER! I was in sheer excitement mode as my mouse hunted the pages for more, more, more! However my grin started to slowly dimish as some of my recent favorite movie titles began showing no results. Rambo, 300, Casino Royale naming just a few that showed negative.
So I took to the Help area and ended up in forums, checked out a few, figured I would start my own just to see if I'm the only one out here yearning to buy more movies from the iStore (hope Apple reads that lol!)
A couple questions that I have on topic are 1) does Apple not have certain rights to list select titles? i.e. Casino Royale being a Sony Pictures film? 2)could I plug my iPod into my reciever equipped with docking station to play these movies on the screen? 3) is there a title suggestion section?
Thanks for checking out my first post!

    1) does Apple not have certain rights to list select titles?
Correct. They only get what the studios release to them.

  • What just happened to iTunes Movies store?

This new format is terrible. The old format, and choices, are gone. Instead, there is a matrix of subjects or titles. Gone is the scrollable listing of latest releases or Genius Recommendations. There is a sellection of "independent" new releases, but that isn't quite the same as the old format, or as good.

Please bring this feature back. This was the only feature I actually used in the app store. Most of my friends only use this feature too. Many people enjoy browsing ALL new apps throughout the day or with their morning coffee.
The app store is pretty much useless to me as a place to browse for apps to purchase for now. The only way I have been using it after the ALL apps page was removed is to directly link to a page (often times an app that hasnt even been indexed into a category yet...) from a 3rd party site.
Absolutely. I'm forced to hit http://www.versiontracker.com/iphone/ each morning. But with no picture, and no way to click through to the application's iTunes page (with reviews and screen shots) I am far less likely to purchase anything that manages to catch my eye.
Apple's timing on this latest screw-up couldn't be worse, coming on the heels of the announcements and discussion of the first Android phone and that platform's openness, and the news coverage of the capriciousness of Apple's application approval process. With all the iPhone 2.0/3G, MobileMe, and related blunders, I'm starting to wonder if someone at Apple isn't trying to torpedo this platform. [scratches head in confusion and disbelief]

  • ITunes Movie Store Rocks!

Just downloaded my first movie. It looks great on my 20 inch Cinema Display, the process of browsing and downloading is a joy.
There's a convenient pull-down menu with the chapter names but folks are gonna miss the elaborate chapter menus on DVD's. That's for the next version, I hope.
Woo Hoo! Bring on some great movies! Make a library of obscure titles, independent films and the like.
    This is very, very cool.
I am waiting for my Merom MACBOOK PRO. Bring it on, please!
    Power Mac G5 2.0 Dual   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2 GIG RAM

I have a 20" cinema display. There are "bars" at the top and bottom of the screen when I play "Good Will Hunting" which is a .
If you chose to view in a separate window, you simply see the proper wide aspect ratio (1.85 in this case?), no bars.
    Does that make sense?

  • Itunes movie store

anyone know when this is going to be available for uk users? or tv show downloads? really frustrating knowing that it's all fully available in the US!

As to TV shows, there have been no indications if, much less when, the show owners will ever license Apple to sell them outside the US.
Sorry, but we'll all just have to wait and see.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

  • Is there not an app similar to the iTunes movie trailer app for the mac? i perviously owned a macbook pro and had a built-in app for movie trailers this was one of my favourite parts of the mac system.

i am trning to find the movie trailer app that was built in on my late model macbook pro. if this isnt still an option, i would like to know my other options.

There is a way to see (in small window) short bits and parts of video movies, where they exist, in the iTunes application from the store page in there. My older Mac with earlier version of iTunes lets me browse Music, Movies, TV stores, from the sections on the iTunes application; years ago there was more direct content. They used to have a site page for some of those clips... I haven't looked lately.
A screenshot of a video clip ^ from the iTunes Movie store, via iTunes in my Mac.
If you browse the items for sale/rent, a few have a tiny triangle on them and this opens the little window where a preview runs. A few actual movies will have an option to see a preview or trailer-like video in a similar small window that opens up over the store screen.
The older iTunes application in earlier Mac systems had various other features. In order to view movie trailer kinds of content streamed from the internet, you may have to look into a third party application or a web page.
There may be a list of applications included with certain models of Mac portables
and if you can find that name, that may be a talking point. The Store has lists of
what software may be included in the most recent Macs in each products info.
{There was no mention prior to your reply...
    that you did not want to make movies, btw.}
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Volume issues with some itunes movies

I just downloaded the movie Sucker Punch, but when i play it on itunes the volume is very low.  i don't have that problem with downloaded music, just with some movies and it's not the first time it happens, this has happened multiple times in the past.
all my softwares are up to date as far as i can tell, itunes 11.0.4, on a mac OS X 10.6.8 with 2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo.
It a bit frustrating because i can't seem to do anything about it, which renders itunes movie store pretty useless to me.
    Please help..
    Ali

    Hi, aloosh1.
This can happen depending on how the media was created.  However, there is a solution.  Most media volume can be adjusted by selecting the media, either control click or select the file menu from the menu bar and choose Get Info.  From there you can select the options tab and adjust the volume.  I have attached a screen shot of the process for reference.
    Hope this helps.

  • My MacBook Pro iTunes movie purchase is not showing in iTunes store movie purchases nor does it show on my iPad or Apple TV.  Can someone please help me with a solution?  Thanks.

First of all, I live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Sometimes, I use a VPN to search on the web here. I purchased Toy Story 3 on my MacBook Pro 2011 OS/X - Lion through iTunes.  I initially had trouble downloading it which may be due to being on and off the VPN but after a while it finally downloaded and shows up in my iTunes library on my MacBook.
Under my Apple ID account (which is the only Apple ID account I have), I look under purchase history and it shows that I paid for Toy Story which is where I got my Order # from.  But if you go to the iTunes Store then to the Quick Links then click on Purchased, under all my Movies, it does NOT show Toy Story 3 as one of my movies.
Now when I go to my iPad (3rd gen.), Toy Story 3 does not show up under purchased movies (all or not on my iPad).  It does not show up on my Apple TV as well.  If I want to have Toy Story 3 on my iPad or Apple TV, then it says I have to purchase it again.
I have searched for help via Apple support communities but so far none of their solutions have worked for me.  I have tried logging off iTunes & App Store on iPad and also shutting down the iPad.  I also made sure that under iTunes Preferences>Store that iTunes in the Clouds purchases is checked. Can someone please help me with this?  Your consideration is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks King_Penguin for taking time to read and reply.
I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago.  I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam.  I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions.  Could you please explain?
I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items.

  • ITunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday.  In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync.

iTunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday.  In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync to the other devices but now there is a listing a movies with no cover photos and in fact if I try to view the movie on the MacBook Pro it cannot be found unless I download it.

All I had to do was complain.  I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store.  I have no idea why.

  • How Do I: store my iTunes Movies on an external hard drive?

Since my iMac hard drive space (2 terabite) is almost half-full of the Movies I have in my iTunes, I would like to be able to set up my iTunes to store and play the movies from an external hard drive.  I just bought a 4 terabite G-Drive for doing this.  I would also like to be able to view the movies on my two differant Apple TV's.
If anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    kalton

I have almost zero experience with Apple TVs. I saw one once in an Apple Store, across the room.
    The easy way:
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.
    The easier hard way:
You will need delete the movies from your iTunes collection.  Drag them to a folder on the other drive.  Hold down the option key and drag that folder back to an iTunes window. Opton will prevent the files from being copied back to the drive.  Drawbacks: 1) You must remember to do this each time you add an item or it will copy it to the drive. 2)  Deleting it will remove things( metadata) such as ratings, last played, date added.
    The tougher hard way:
Re-assign your media folder to a folder on the external.  Consolidate just the movies to the external.  Re-assign media back to regular location.  Advantages: Will keep your metadata.  Note - I have never done this.
Whatever you do, back up first.

  • Why does my iTunes / App store go to the German version when I travel in Austria?

Since I updated to iOS 6 my iTunes Store and App Store are both going directly to the Austrian stores.  I am in Austria at the moment travelling. But how come I can't change back the Canadian stores?  I think someone dropped the ball on this one.

No, go to "settings", "iTunes & App Stores" click on your "Apple ID:" should be some type of email address. Then hit "View Apple ID". Once you sign in w/ your password, hit "country or region" (even if it already shows the correct country) your basically reverifying. I'm guessing since you updated while on vacation your locations services were on thats why it changed countries. Anyway follow the steps update your payment info (you will only need the security code for your debit/credit card if it stayed the same). And you should be good!
    Good Luck !

  • Is it safe to just store my purchased iTunes movies in the iTunes cloud rather than filling up my Macbook Pros hard drive?

Is it safe to just store my purchased Itunes movies in the Itunes cloud rather than filling up the Macbook Pro's hard drive with HD content?

Not safe, no. The movie's owner can remove a movie at any time, which does happen from time to time, making it impossible to re-download later. You should always keep a backup copy of any app or content that you care about.
    Regards.

Apple doesn't have full control over what they can sell in each country or region. The copyright owners control that.
