Itunes movies stuck in download area

I downloaded and watched 2 itunes movies on my iPad. Now they suddenly appear in the iTunes download area with the description "download error tap to try again" I no longer have the movies in my movie viewer, as I saw them and deleted them. Now I can't remove them from my download area. Any ideas on how to remove a "error" download in the download area? It is driving me crazy as it continually tries to download them and has me continuously input my iTunes password.
I would appreciate any thoughts.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

All 3 Apple devices are updated to the latest versions.

If the movies are no longer available in the iTunes Store, you cannot download them again.
If you have certain content resticted you may not be able to download them again. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content>Movies.
Any more hints from you as to what you are actually and specifically doing in actual context - that might make it easier to offer help?

Rented iTunes Movie won't download!

I rented a movie on iTunes last night, and I can't seem to download it to my iTunes. My account has been charged for the amount of the rental, and I went to the "Store" tab and selected "Check for Available Downloads," but nothing appeared on the download list. Any ideas as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It's quite interesting how a business model like this survives: you pay your money, and you don't receive your product. Since many of the movies that one tries to download on iTunes simply do not download, the business model should be changed to bill you AFTER the movies is successfully download, not before. Too much time and hassle is spent trying to get a credit because of iTunes unreliability issues.

unfortunately if you have not backed up your iphone, the only way you could do it would be to sync the songs back on to your phone through your mac. Or if you purchased the music from the itunes store you can download it again free of charge.

Why does it take at least 3 hours to watch an Apple/iTunes movie, yet Netflix downloads in seconds? Both are accessed through the same AppleTV device?

I have owned my AppleTV for about 6 months, and it didn't take this long initially, what happened? And it cannot be a download setting issue through my Airport since downloads from Netflix takes roughly 30 seconds. Youtube about the same. What is Apple doing? Netflix has variable quality streams - they get worse as internet bandwidth drops. iTunes content is fixed quality/bitrate and enough has to download to enable uninterrupted playback as the end of the film downloads while you watch.

Just keep trying - make sure you have a good connection. Also, movie files are very large, so make sure you have enough free space on the device.

To make search more like it was, click on magnifying glass in search bar and uncheck "search entire library"

ITunes movies - 'freeze' for same amount of time I can play??..

I have a frequent problem with iTunes movies - when I download one from the Store it stops all the time. I can usually restart it by pressing pause and then play, although sometimes I have to go out of the movie altogether then restart and fast forward to where i was. It is incredibly irritating as you can imagine. Any ideas? The amount of time I get to watch the movie seems to relate to the amount of time I have before it of waiting. Eg if it stops and I restart instantly I only get a minute or so of movie, whereas if I stop the movie and only restart it after five minutes then I seem to get at least five minutes before it stops again.

My app downloads are stuck waiting. There is no 'downloads' tab in iTunes. Very aggravating. I sign into iTunes. No download tab. I sign not App Store. No download tab. 2 apps stuck on 'waiting'. Have reset iPad2 - no progress.

Also, I'm unable to delete the 2 apps. So they just sit there taking up space.
I'd like to at least be able to start the downloads or delete the apps. I can't do either.
