ITunes.msi: nothing works.
I have a PC. The itunes shortcut on my desktop no longer works, giving me the message that the program isn’t installed. I know it is installed, but I cannot re-install it or uninstall it, with the message coming up everytime that I need to find the item "iTunes.msi" which is the means by which the installation occurs. But I can’t find it. Please help.
I think you are going to have to use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to get rid of Apple Software Update, QuickTime and iTunes.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
If you want a more complete uninstall process, Apple has their own document on it. Scroll down to the section named *General installation troubleshooting*.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926
The installer cleanup is in the third line - click on each line and you'll get more detail.

After a rescent update on my ipad 3 I can no longer connect to my pc with WIFI. I have tried resetting ipad and itunes but nothing works. Talked to support and they were no help. Any suggestions?
What error do you get if any?
Have you tried connecting to another network besides your own?
Do you use DHCP on your router or static IP address? -
My entire iTunes library is missing on my two non-Apple computers. My libraries still exist on my iPad and iPhone though. I tried deauthorizing and then reauthorizing my devices, uninstalling and then reinstalling iTunes and nothing works. What happened?

my iPhone 5 randomly switched itself when somebody was calling me and now won't turn on. it had 90% battery, I've tried factory reset, connecting to iTunes and nothing works. the phone is approx 18 months old so surprise surprise out of warranty.
My 5S just started doing this on Thursday: every fraction of a second or so it oscillates between connecting and disconnecting with the charger (USB or wall, doesn't matter). Since it's still under the limited warrantee, I took it to the local Mac dealer (I live in a small town w/out an Apple store) and they shipped it off. I'm waiting now for the replacement--telephonless, too!
What concerns me is that many people seem to be having this issue.
You were right to be suspicious of the Apple store employees. Once they replicated the behavior that you experienced, they should have immediatly offered to exchange your phone. Anything else, in my opinion, is unacceptable. As long as your phone is still doing it, I'd go back, ask for the manager and tell them to exchange your phone. -
Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Also when I try to sink my mini with my iTunes account it says you cannot sync because the sync session failed to start.
It sounds like to me you're trying to sync using the computer.
Try these things and see if it helps before you try your next syncing session. If none of the things below work then you might consider trying to sync using iCloud only.
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

ITunes card rejected by iTunes store- nothing works and support unreachable
I am trying to load a Canadian iTunes card to my account, and iTunes says that the code on the back is not a valid code- completely unrecognized. My iTunes was set to USA default, so I switched to Canada's iTunes server (with a phony Canadian address, considering that this is a pre-paid Canadian iTunes card since no credit card being used for anything and we aren't ordering anything physical, just downloads)... but it still not recognizing it as a real card!
I tried going through the "contact us" thing on the help site, and it's giving me an error every time I try to send the online e-mail form, and this whole thing is really getting annoying- we hadn't been told that the card would only be valid on the Canadian server either, so iTunes had better have those CD's available in Canada too or I'm considering suing.
Does anyone know what is wrong with this card (we just got it today), and how we could possibly get it to work right???This is EXACTLY what happened to me and many others. Tech support returned most of my money but not all of it. Figure that one out! It is clear no music is downloaded (or in queue), it is clear an unknown error message is produced, and it is clear we, the consumer, are still being charged anyway. Will Apple require a credit card from its customers and alienate those that do not wish to use a credit card? Will Apple insult its customers and make silly suggestions such as 'Use an iTunes gift card' in much the same way a forum moderator has already recommended?
I have an idea: Acknowledge the problem publicly (via email, for example) and fix it in a future update. Customers will be more understanding if they know there is a temporary problem and Apple is working hard to fix it. Oh, and return our money, please!

I have the latest version of iTunes 10. Can anyone help me with this issue? I'd appreciate it. Thank you in adavance.Just wanted to say that I have the same issue. It also crashes when I try to save files in other programs like IE or Chrome. objc.dll comes up everytime, and it's also related to the apple mobile device service, as the crashes go away once I turn that service off. Unfortunately, I have an iPad, and an iPhone as well, and I need that service turned on. I have scoured the internet for answers to no avail. So far I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Disabled all shell extensions. used the repair function on all apple software (found in add/remove software). I've even tried to use different versions of iTunes. Nothing worked.
Here's my info as well, if it helps.

Why has iTunes Radio stopped working?
So this fun little bit of trivia has not been answered in these forums or on the interwebs. As of 3 weeks ago, when I go to play any station on iTunes Radio, my own or the defaults, the song info will populate but it just sits there as if it's bufferring. It never plays. I've done the basic shut down/restart, rest PRam, trashed iTunes prefs, nothing works. Is anybody else having this issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
iTunes 11.1.4It seems to want to work, however it just sits there trying to buffer. It's been "buffering" for about 30 min now. Here's a screenshot

I've tried restoring iTunes, fixing iTunes, reinstalling, nothing works.
I have a constant -54 error, it doesn't want to sync my music, it erases all my music, every time I try to add an item it freaks out says cannot syn -54 error.
unknown error.
NOTHING WORKS.
how do I fix this? It's getting to the point where I just want to burn this phone and go Samsung, and I LOATH Samsung. Help.Schedule a check disk by right clicking on your c drive, click properties, click on check now. Let the system reboot and do the check disk. Run a full anti-virus scan from safe mode if that doesn't work.

How can I get the iCloud/iTunes password for my (now) deceased Father-in-Law's iMac? I have a list of his passwords, but nothing works! I know his email, but that account has been cancelled for security purposes, so we can't just request a new one. I tried his security questions to no avail.
ThanksSince that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.

my ipod touch 2nd generation is no longer reconized in itunes when connected to my computer. I have tried different ipod cables and nothing works.
Hi Imminnie,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPod touch, this article may help:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
If issues persist, a thorough removal and reinstall of iTunes would be the next thing to try:

I bought some songs off of itunes and the songs synced onto my ipod CLASSIC but they didnt sync into my ipod TOUCH. I have tried authorizing and deauthorizing my laptop, updating softwares but nothing works. Anyone know why this is happening?!?!?!
Hi,
The songs need to be in the playlist(s) that go onto the ipod touch.
Plug the ipod touch into the computer and go to the music section of it from the devices menu. From here make sure that the playlist(s) that go on to this ipod are the ones that have the new songs.
Once this is done, click sync/apply.
I hope this helps. -
iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio. People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

NOTE: no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes. Very strange.
