ITunes Multiple Password Requests

I am getting prompted to enter my password multiples times for every action on iTunes. Often it will prompt me to enter it for "Automatic Downloads". The only way to make the prompt box go away is to hit Cancel. If I try to access my Account tab under my username, I am prompted for my password at least three times and then I am still not able to access that tab. Any help would be much appreciated.

When you log in to the store you stay logged in unless you sign out in the "Store" menu. Until you officially log out, it asks you to reauthenticate when you open iTunes. Spread the word. There are a lot of threads like this one.

Problems syncing with Version 6.1 to Curve 8530. Multiple password requests

I am having trouble syncing my Curve 8530 to Bundle 34, Verson 6.1.0.35 Relased June 7 2011. I can get it to sync to MS outlook calendar and email but I have to enter my email password 6 or 7 different times every time I sync. I never had this problem until I updated to the new desktop software. I wish I had not updated as the old version worked ok for me. Now I keep getting a pop up window wanting my password multiple times on every sync (and yes, I enter the correct password :-) I tried entering a wrong one just to see what would happen, and I immediately got a wrong password error, so all of the other times I am really entering the correct password. It seems it askes for the password everytime it snycs something different (media, email, calendar etc) during the sync process, and then again as it updates in the other direction. I have been doing this for a week now, ever since I updated the software. What a pain!

A few questions for you are you synchronizing with Outlook or Yahoo? Also do you get prompt for a password during each item you sync, for example: 1 for address book, 1 for calendar etc.

If you have a corporate Exchange account set up on the phone, the administrators can require encrypted backups. Try using your Exchange password.

Dear Apple, these repeated iTunes password prompts absolutely drive me nuts. The issues started with OS 3.0, then went away, but with 3.1.2 returned with full force.

I know this question has been asked before, but how do you stop the password request for your Apple ID from popping up continuously in iTunes, even after you entered it?

Chances are that you have slightly different 'Artist' labels for those songs.
This could be as simple as 'The Rolling Stones' vs. 'Rolling Stones' or more difficult to spot due to leading or trailing blanks, such as:
' Rolling Stones' or 'Rolling Stones '.
You'll have to figure out your own specific situation.

IOS 6.1 on iPhone 5: multiple Apple ID password requests on restart

After installing iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 5 and restarting the iPhone, I was besieged with requests to enter my Apple ID password...6 in a row, one after another. After things calmed down, I turned off the iPhone completely and turned it on again to see what would happen, and got another 6 password requests. This onslaught of requests does not happen on my other two iOS devices, an iPad 2 and a 3rd generation iPad, but it happens every time I power down (not sleep, but power down) and then restart the iPhone.

I want to purchase a subscription to iTunes Match for the same reason as Melikakarissa, I want to free up space on my iCloud. What I was wondering, though, is if I have the minimum 5gb space of iCloud, will I have to purchase more space when/if I purchase iTunes Match? Also, will I be able to listen to any song I have in my music library? Whereas with iCloud, it has automatically added 20 songs that I’ve purchased from iTunes. This is annoying because I have a couple thousand songs that I would love to have access to at any point in time.

How can I disable nagging "Apple-ID" password requests?

In order to describe the problem I'm experiencing, I need to say some things in advance. I'm trying to install the same software on each of our 10 iPads. To do so, I install all necessary apps on one selected iPad (from here on "iPad No. 1") and do all in-app-purchases I want to do. On this particular iPad, everything will work fine, but not on the other ones.
Afterwards, I create a backup of iPad No. 1 within iTunes using the Option "Save" (all captions are translated from German and might not match exactly with English captions). Then, all iPads are connected to my computer, one after another. All of them have the same name and are fed with the data from iPad No. 1 using the iTunes option "revert to backup...".
Then, all iPads are supplied with a profile using the "iPhone Configuration Utility". The profile contains wifi access data among settings for password requests as well as permissions to use the iTunes Store and to do in-app-purchases. The last three options must be unrelated to my problem, though, because I tried all possible combinations of those three options (brute force) and changing the configuration to any of those settings did not solve my problem, which I will come to describe in a second.
Until I did some in-app-purchases, the above procedure worked just fine and I wasn't bothered with any password requests. But now, all of my iPads have the following problems - except for iPad No. 1:
The in-app-purchases are registered on all iPads, i.e. I'm not asked to pay again for what I already paid for. Yet, the additional data and program functionality I bought in iPad No. 1 and downloaded on iPad No. 1 is unavailable on all other iPads and needs to be downloaded manually by the push of a button. Note: I do not need to enter any password in order to download the in-app-purchases I already made. But 12 In-App-purchases on 10 iPads makes 120 manual actions for each time I need to reset the devices to the backup I created. That alone makes this procedure a real hassle, and things are getting worse:
All devices except for iPad No. 1 will ask for "password for Apple-ID" regularly, e.g. when the device is switched on after the backup. Since the devices are to be used in an educational environment and were selected as the devices of choice for the mere reason that they are very easy to use without any knowledge of computer equipment, this makes the whole thing completely unusable.
The password requests will stop once I manually downloaded the in-app-purchases.
In other topics, I read that this "password request problem" can be caused by incompletely downloaded software. People have advised others who had this problem to "synchronize" and "submit purchases" within iTunes. But doing those after "revert to backup" didn't help, as expected.
It is correct, though, that the problem seems to be related to incompletely downloaded software. Yet I don't know what I could do to transfer the in-app-purchases from iPad No. 1 to the other devices. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just a partial solution to what I described.

If your two IDs have duplicate contacts, simply turn contact syncing off in one of them. You can do this on your Mac at system preferences > iCloud or on a mobile device at settings> iCloud.

How to enable password request for restart and shutdown?

If I e.g. run $ shutdown -r now no password is needed. I want to disable this. It should behave the same way as shutdown -hP/-c behave. I want to type
$ sudo shutdown -r now or $ sudo systemctl reboot etc. and then the password should be required.

The user "rocketmouse" should have all permissions after typing a password, but not without typing the password.

Tks heaps for that, had a look at Store and ITunes sections, not overly helpful unless I am missing something.
My issue is that on my computer she would update her iPhone with Software updates via iTunes.
I have gone and deleted her backups that were still sitting on there.
If I want to update my Apps on my iPhone when due her Apple ID and password request will come up as an option to use that account if I knew the password and it's synced from my Computer even though she has been gone 7 months now. Is it a syncing issue or is her Apple ID stored in my iTunes backups somehow and keeps coming back? Do I need to de-authorize her account from my Computer?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I have the same errors occurring at an alarming rate. I did isolate it to the App Store. Specifically when checking for an update. I was hoping that you could test this out for me. Go to your console log and select all messages and then check kernel in the sender box (bottom left). I found that now is a good time to insert a marker. Now launch the app store then got to the update section. Select check for update.
Does this generate a series of the errors? I can reproduce the errors every time I "check for updates". The error would not show up when checking for updates in iTunes.
I did notice errors in both extending from CFNetwork

Continuous password request

I'm currently running iTunes 8.1.1; I have a great number of Apps from the Appstore that need updating, however ever since I upgraded to version 8.1.0, when I check for new updates iTunes will continually ask for my password.
If I enter my password incorrectly, I will get message telling me so. But when I'm entering my password correctly, it will just pop up with the password request again and again until I finally cancel. I haven't been able to update my Apps in iTunes for weeks.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. i'm also having this problem. do you use Netbarrier? some folks hadn't checked something in that program if you run it which caused this problem, but i don't use that program and i'm still having this problem. very annoying... still looking for a fix..

The window I get when trying to create a new account lists the requirements as :
- have at least one lower case character
- have at least one capital letter
- have at least one number
- not contain multiple identical consecutive letter
- not to be the same as the account name
- be at least 8 characters
- not be a common password
I also don't think that you can re-use recent passwords
