Itunes music artwork mixed with book covers?

After a certain version fo itunes.I forgot... It'd  start putting my book covers on my music artwork.  I mean even if I try to add new artwork the book cover won't come off..... Even trying to readd the music.

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I think I'm confused myself, I'm sorry. The problem isn't with my iPod (again, my appologies), but with the iTunes library itself. Like when I play music from my computer... You hear for instance a song by Kid Rock and the album image/artwork that is being displayed is that of... say... Madonna... How is that possible... I un-installed and re-installed iTunes twice on my computer already, and the problem persists... When I check to see if the artwork for a song is correct, it always IS correct. But when the song is playing, it's not... I tried deleting the artworks of all songs, then added them again after I rebooted the computer... and still, same thing... I mean: HELLLPPP...

  • Album artwork mixed with other artwork

my album artwork has been mixed with other album artwork of songs that I have removed off my phone. the mixed up artwork is only in the purchased songs. any suggestions on how to fix this? I am not looking to download apps or jailbreak my phone to fix this problem.

I have the same problem and this is how I get it to work.
Although the artwork in iTunes seems correct, you still need to check individual Artwork on each Album.  (The new iTunes seems to mass them up.)
Go to iTunes Music and right click "get info -> artwork" on each of your song.
Make sure the artwork shows up.
In my case, some of the artwork is missing and some of them looks strange.  Reset any artwork that is missing.
Uncheck the music sync so the existing music in your ipod is removed.
Before resync, go to your ipod to make sure all the music files are actually removed.
    Resync.
    Hope this help.

  • TS4062 I have synced my iTunes music in iPad with my new iPhone. Problem two audio books which I purchased from I tunes failed to come on my iPhone. Help!

How do I sync audio books from iTunes in iPad with my new iPhone 4???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • ITUNES MUSIC ARTWORK QUESTION

    Hi there iTunes Peeps,
I recently downloaded the latest version of iTunes (I believe version 8), and now all the album artwork on my iPod Nano is messed up. Different songs by the same artist have the same artwork as the first song... this wasn't a problem with the prior versions of iTunes... Can anyone help me out here, because to be quite frank, it's very annoying when you're listening to Chris Rock's " All Summer Long" and the artwork you see in your library is by Santana... Thanks in advance.

When I sync my Iphone 4 with itunes on my iMac, it does not save my playlists or all of my music. When it is connected with the usb cable it shows up on the iphone but as soon as I disconnect it is gone. For some reason it is showing up on my ipad2 but I cannot shuffle any of the songs on the ipad I have to hit them one by one to play them or they just keep repeating themselves over and over.I do have them set up to wirelessly sync, but when I noticed my music was not there I tried to sync with the usb cable. When I plug in the iphone to the imac, I get a message that says no camera found same thing with the iPad2. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

  • How do I use itune music for creating photo DVDs with music in adobe element 10?

How do I use/transfer itune music for DVDs with music in adobe elements premier?

    On each computer:
Open iTunes. Select Preferences from the iTunes menu and click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. At the top you will see a box showing the path to your iTunes library. Click on the Change button, navigate to the location for the library on your external drive, select it and click on the Open button. Note this permanently changes the library's location on that computer. That means you cannot access your music unless the external drive is connected.
If you don't want a permanent change, then press the OPTION key and hold it down while you launch iTunes. iTunes will then prompt you to select the library you wish to open for that session.

  • How to move from 3 separated itunes music folders into one new hard discs??

So : i bought a new external 6TB thunderbolt hard disc (for extra speed for my huge library) and i copied from 3 other 2TB hard disc into there. I named the sub folder the same like an original. I thought it is enough to determine the new place of each in "media folder locations" and updated.... but its not working
What should i do? How will see the itunes these music folders like an originals??? I dont want to reimporting, because  i dont want to loose  all of my "date added, played etc" informations.
If I'm doing three  partitions with folders, as were the old ones will work?
..or should i rewrite the iTunes Music Library.xml with text editor?
pls help me and thx for answering!!!!!

Best to give the new iPad a different name. I assume you have purchased an iPad 2 or the next generation iPad which is just called "iPad"? If so, you can name the iPad 2 "Kens iPad 2" or "Kens iPad 3" since the new iPad just introduced is the 3rd generation.
The first time you connect your new iPad to iTunes on the computer used for syncing your existing iPad, you will be prompted to transfer the backup for your existing iPad to the new iPad, or set up the new iPad as a new iPad. Both must be followed by a sync with iTunes.
Each device has its own sync preferences with iTunes, which can be the same or different for each device synced with the same iTunes library and computer.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes music store on iPad 1

When I try and connect to the music store on my iPad I just get a message "cannot connect to iTunes store". I can however access the apps store. I can also access the music store from my Mac.
I have read a lot of discussion topics on this and it seems that this is a problem experience by many others especially on iPod. However I cannot find comments specifically related to iPad 1 and none of the suggested solutions in the existing discussion threads have worked for me.
    - I have a good wifi connection (this message sent via the connection)
    - There is no antivirus software on my iPad
    - All software is up to date
    - I have tried a reset (holding down home and sleep buttons simultaneously)
I have spent ages trying to sort this out and its driving me nuts  anybody got any thoughts?

    Carolyn
Many thanks for your reply. However, have already seen this discussion and have tried all of the suggested fixes. As noted above my software is up to date and I have a strong wireless network (proven by internet access over the same IPad). I am at a loss to thing what else could be an issue - seems to me that there is a sofware glitch in how the iTunes music store interacts with the iPad.

  • Keeping itunes music folder organized

I have the box checked for "keep itunes music folder organized" but noticed that the folders on my computer are not consistent with how certain albums are organized in itunes.
For example, I have a series of albums, all with the same name, Vol. 1-6. On itunes, they are all properly separated by Vol number and disc number, but in the folder on my computer, they are all lumped in together in the same folder.
Anyone know how I can fix this because I really want to keep my itunes music folder consistent with how the music is layed out in itunes.
    Thanks much.

I just ripped a 4-disc set that had really bad Gracenote tags.
I had to fiddle around with things so itunes could organize them properly. If you want more details, post back.
I really don't think this is an itunes bug. I think it's an issue with a bad Gracenote entry.

  • ITunes music library file, yet again...

    I apologize for this advance:
About every other post on this discussion board relates to how people are missing their music, playlists, etc. and I roll my eyes to read them. Now I am one of them.
Two days ago, I consolidated my music on my external drive, fixing a longstanding problem with syncing my iPod. For good measure, I figured I would make a copy of the iTunes Music Library file to have a backup. I am almost sure I copied it, but I may have MOVED it from the Music folder on the Mac (despite how none of my music was stored in that location). When I next opened iTunes, everything was reset: no music, no playlists. I have attempted SEVERAL times since then to import the backup file; my playlists have returned, but my ratings and the last played category are empty. How do I restore this information?
Know also that I had retitled my music library within iTunes to "The Jam." When I import the .xml, does it need to be named "The Jam" or "iTunes Music Library" or what? Does it need to be in the Music folder on my HD? with the actual music files on the external drive?
Any help would be appreciated (and eye rolling, too).
    Grant

    Also, a corollary:
Out of frustration, I imported the backup of my library into iTunes, but did it about 20 times changing the options a little each time in an attempt to restore the rating/play count/last played information (it didn't work). As a result, I have 20 copies of each playlist, so many that it has slowed everything down to the point that it takes around a minute with the spinning beach ball of death to delete EACH playlist. Is there a way I can start from scratch? I already followed the instructions on this discussion board about reinstalling iTunes...I did, deleted my copy, downloaded a new one, and the new iTunes came up with the exact same playlist configuration (despite my replacement of the iTunes music library file with the desired file).
Just know that I have spent days of my life amassing the information I now seek to reclaim and if a proposed solution requires that I reset and reinstall iTunes, I would be more than willing to go through with it.

  • ITunes Music Library: View (at top right on version 7)

When selecting the third view in iTunes Music Library (to display album covers flip; such as in a juke box) this message is displayed. "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer." Now, what I can't figure out is why ... because I had previously been able to see this feature before. Any thoughts out there would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base and let us know if it solves your problem.

  • Is it just me or is iTunes Music rather wonky?

I really want iTunes Music to smash the box into oblivion, but I am having a hard time falling in love with it.  I set up a channel on my phone with about 10 different bands.  I have set the slider to Discovery.  The first day I started using iTunes Music on my phone I literally heard the exact same song 4 times during a 40 drive.  Not 4 different tracks from the same album, but rather the exact same track.  There are a few tracks that seem to play everytime I turn on iTunes Music.  Yesterday I had an artist come up that I didn't like.  I hit the star and clicked to not play the song again.  It played another track from the same artist/album.  I went through the process again, and iTunes Music came up with a third track from the same artist/album.  Today I realized that I could add a specific artist to my do not play list.  I added the artist and about an hour later iTunes Music started playing another track from the same artist.
Like I said I want iTunes Music to flourish being a longtime Mac/Apple fan, but the box program plays a nice variety and rarely hits repeats.  Is there something that I have checked wrong, failed to add, etc?

    Do you mean iTunes Radio?
Likely as it gets used more & more, it will get better as they tweak the algorithms to select music.

After "Restoring iTunes Library backup" it wont link to the files in the iTunes folder. I've followed the procedure as described, and the iTunes folder is in the correct location. iTunes lists all my music correctly (albeit with no artwork), but can't locate any of the files.
I've been restoring my iTunes folder from a backup hard drive to a new computer on which I've downloaded the latest iTunes (10.7). If this is a newer version than the one I backed up with could this be the problem? (I had the latest (to my knowledge) iTunes when I backed up the folder about 3 weeks ago, was this version 10.7?)
Or is the version of iTunes (within recent updates) not an issue when restoring a library?
    Using Windows 7.
    Any help please?

From the top of the page where the scripts live...
The general method of use is to download the script to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. If no specific tracks are selected the script will try to work with all tracks in the current playlist. Some scripts offer a choice of track by track confirmation of changes or fully automatic processing of the selection. Many of the scripts can optionally display a progress bar while running.
You are strongly advised to backup your entire library, or at the very least the iTunes Library.itl file, before use. Test the behaviour of your chosen script on a small group of files first to make sure it does what you want before applying it to large numbers of files.
Most builds of Windows will execute *.vbs scripts when you double-click them. If that doesn't happen then you might need to visit the Add/Remove Programs or Programs & Features control panel to enable the Windows Scripting Host. I can track down details if you have issues.
Backing up and restoring data is an area that is often glossed over. Most people don't try to learn much about it until they've lost something important. (Me too )
If your iTunes library was in the usual layout then normally copying the whole iTunes folder from the User's Music folder in the old computer to the User's Music folder in the new one will usually work fine. Ideally this is done before iTunes is installed so that there is no empty library to replace, and all settings are picked up from the old library. This post contains more details.
