ITunes Music has no volume

I recently installed iTunes on my HP Media Center PC and using EZ Vinyl Converter, created a file with album tunes. When playing the tracks in iTunes, I see the progress bar, but there is no volume. None of my volume controls is on mute. Suspect incompatibility with computer speakers and iTunes. How do I troubleshoot?

I figured it out. was controlling volume from keypad, instead of top bar!

Hello, I sure hope someone can help me. My itunes music has ALL disappeared....and when I tried to replace it {I guess it's known as import it from my CD} it seemed to remain forever on 0.02 and would not move on to the other song....I became frustrated....and ejected the CD....and got a pop up window telling me pretty much that this was a no-no....anyway...I clicked on my itune icon to open it up and start with another CD to import music....well now my icon won't open and everytime I click on it to open I get a pop up window from Apple...asking if it is ok to make changes....I click yes...and nothing happens....I also tried to see the compalibility and it is now telling me it is not combatiable......well it was yesterday and the day before...and even a few minutes ago...when I was able to open it once....What does this mean? I just had my computer cleaned out.....could it have been something they did? Do I have to uninstall it and reinstall it?? Also when I first opened itunes....I got a pop up window saying something to the effect...that I had 2 itunes and was only allowed 1....and did I wish to transfer my purchases....and I can't remember what else it said....I chose transfer....and those were the only songs I could find on my itunes before it wouldn't let me open it again.....Can someone help PLEASE.....newbie here

You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone.
So, yes, you need to get a sim card.

it is still in my documents and stuff but not on my actual itunes =(...it has also erased all my purchased music aswell does anyone know the resolution to this dilemma somebody help me i will die without my ipod music ='(

check the itunes folder location. preferences>advanced>general.
just you know check if it's pointing in the right direction.
I think your purchased music should still be in your music folder.

ITunes music has just disappeared

Okay, first off my main problem is that all of my library of iTunes has disappeared (1500+ songs).
I'm running version 7.6.1.9
I do believe this could be a user error, as while it was saving my music library I shutdown the computer.
I have tried to go about restoring the library from a previous date, but when I double click the file, it loads up iTunes, but nothing happens after that.
So any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

The same has happened to me. I had opened it and it was empty. I dragged my music folder into the iTunes app, and everything goes in fine. However, under my podcasts, all of the previous files showed up, but when I clicked on 'subscribe', that particular podcast listing disappeared. (edit: this was fixed by importing an older .xml file, keep reading)
My .xml and .itl files are from October, and would like to include the increase in my library since then.
My main question now is, is there anyway I can get my playlists back?

ITunes music has an Echoe or Skipping

I did not have this problem when I first installed ITunes a few months back after purchasing my Ipod. I have allot of music on my laptop but I decided to upgrade to a new version of ITunes and my computer plays the music fine for about 40 seconds and than begins to Skip or Echoe and I'm unable to determine what the issue is has anyone seen this?

Itunes Music has a lock on it

So I bought a new Verizon phone that plays music. My husband was able to download some of his songs from his cell phone to my card reader, but when I tried to put the songs from Itunes on my card reader it has a lock in the upper left corner. I'm on my computer staring at my songs that have downloaded onto my hard drive with a lock on them and I don't understand or know why there's a freaking lock there. How do I get that lock off?

You are probably going to need to look at the specs for yoru Verixon phone nad see if it will play AAC files, which is what the iTunes store sells. And it proobably can't play any older files that have DRM, but that's a guess.
I am not sure where you are seeing this lock, either.

Non purchased itunes music has suddenly disappeared

All of the music in my itunes on my pc has suddenly disappeared, with the exception of the (small) amount of music that I have downloaded from the itunes store. I am assuming that the files are still on my pc hard drive somehwere but that itunes for some reason is no longer locating them. Any suggestions anybody?! Thanks.

I am having the same problem, upgrade of computer from Dell 754 to Dell 900, XP to 7 so because I do not have an external harddrive, have synced my iPod touch to my new iTunes on new computer. Now my delimma is how do I get the 'purchased' iTunes list to my music library. This is 700+ songs not seen in my music library.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Itunes movie has no volume

I've rented a movie on itunes and there is no volume. Eveything else on the computer works fine in regards to volume. Does anyone know why this may be?

Am I better off just springing for QuickTime Pro? Can Pro convert the VOB files to an iPod-readable format?

I have just turned on my computer, then itunes.
What I found was nothing. I store all my files on an external hard drive and wasn't connected when I first loaded it up.
I have tried loading up itunes with the hard drive and even my playlists and videos have gone.
How can I reload all the tracks without manually putting all my music, videos, photos and podcasts?

Visit the store, log in and download again, what you can get. Apps are no problem, even videos.
Regarding music, this is not since ever that you can download music again. So if there are older purchases, like from 5 years ago, you can't simply download them again from the store.
In this case, contact iTunes support saying you lost all music purchases from before a certain date and kindly asking if they would make that available for download for you and most probably they will. The store keeps your purchase history, so they can verify.
After all or at least most of the stuff is ack on HDD again - make a backup! And later, regularly make backups again. Remember it.

Music has suddenly altered pitch

All my itunes music has suddenly turned high pitch and the sound of the songs has changed so it sounds stupid and i don't know why or how to turn it back to normal?! I scanned my computer and got rid of any threats that it could have been but i don't know what to do to get all my music back to normal. :S

I had the same issue this morning. Music and podcasts that had been on the iPhone last night are gone after a brief sync this morning. Checking the settings page shows 0 songs and 0 videos but only 1.9 gb of free space. I hope the reset fixes mine as well.

Ripping my hair out...my music has completely disappeared, except for my most recent purchase. Help!

From about a year ago up until I attempted to access it today, my Itunes music has been stored in the cloud and all of it was accessible in my Itunes on my W7 PC.
Today, my music has ALL disappeared except for my most recent purchase of about a month ago.
I've tried everything I can find, and NOTHING will make it reappear.

maybe it does have to do with other apps. i wish i would have paid attention to when this started occuring so i could narrow down which application might be the culprit.
the only thing that seems to be working right now is if i take my loop folders out of library/audio. i dragged some to my desktop (don't ask me why i did this) and imported them from there. for some reason they are staying in my loop browser. also when asked where i wanted to put the files, i selected them to go where the rest of the loops are at....in the proper directory. i'm thinking of trying this with all the loops and see what happens. something is corrupted and i'd like to know what and why. i admit, which i am embarrassed about, my computer is a mess. i really need to organise it and all that. actually, i am hoping hoping hoping to get a macbook just for my music. it would make life easier for me seeing i am quickly running out of room on all my hard drives.
the only loops i am having trouble locating are all the ones i made recently. which i am upset about. but i am sure they are here somewhere. i just need ot wade through the mess to find them.

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on.

All of my music that wasn't purchased from the itunes store has been faded out on my ipod, despite me being able to play them in itunes. half my songs have exclamation points but only in the 'on this ipod' section, and when i double-click no window appear

I'm freaking out because almost all my music except for those songs purchased directly from the iTunes store has been deleted from my iPod - about 35 gigs. The songs show up, but they're all faded out and unplayable from my device (I have the newest version). Exclamation points appear beside all my songs in the "On this iPod" section, and yet I can't double-click to locate the files as nothing pops up. Some of my music has a weird circle next to it and is even more faded out when I'm in the "On this iPod" section - that's been happening for a couple of days. Yesterday I tried to set my settings to sync with my library only, and it worked, but this morning everything got even worse with the rest of my songs disappearing. What's happening???? Help??
