Itunes music just stops playing
While i'm riding my the iphone just stops playing music. This is only a recnet event and I think its somehow tied to recent updates
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Music just stopped playing, sometimes mid song have tried resync, restore
I have the 4s and about a week ago the music will stop mid song, sometimes a reboot fixed it and it will play again, sometimes I can not get it to play again! Tried deleting all my music and readding. Even tried a restore!!!! Help!
Okay - nevermind. I was playing around with it, tried to restore it and it didn't work, then when I was just pressing random things to try and make it work, it started working again. I just pressed the top 5 circles where you can star / rate a song :S and it began working. Weird. Nevermind and thanks anyways.

why does Spotify stopped playing whenever i do something else on my phone like browse facebook, or read my phone messages, or open a link to read something? some other music apps like Jango lets you do whatever you want, but it keeps playing ur playlist.. i'm not even gonna mention how pitifully miniscule Spotify's music library is compared to this apps...ooops

Music just stopped playing altogether- please help!!
Hi all, my itouch is fairly new (about 3 months old) and has worked great thus far. Last night, I downloaded the "Shout Card" application (it offers a bunch of different voices to say a certain message for you that you can send to friends), just to check it out. I sent a "Shout Card" sample to a friend, then listened to the sample in my email (it sent me an email attachment itself). After that, any song I tried playing wouldn't work. The itouch would have the play symbol on, but no sound would come out, either with earphones or without!! I tried out a bunch of different songs, and oddly enough, only one song would work :S - the rest of them stopped altogether. Even stranger, I can't seem to find the one song that was actually playing on my itouch anymore.
I'm going to try restoring it, but is there anything else I could do if that doesn't work? Thanks.

Songs just stop playing midway
Hi,
I have a 3rd generation iPad and an iPhone 5S. With both devices my itunes library songs (CD's that were downloaded or purchased from iTunes) will just stop playing midway. I have re-set both devices twice to restore to original factory settings and re-synced with my devices with airplane mode on so that there are no distruptions. Still the songs stop midway. I have played sames songs in itunes with no issues.
iphone = 7.1.2
ipad = 7.1.2
Can anyone help?I Had this problem too. Do the songs play correctly on your computer? If so try this
What i had to do was remove the song from iTunes. Then re add them. Then resync the device. This was not a fun process.

Songs (MP3) Just Stops Playing In iTunes.
Does anyone know why songs (MP3's) just stop playing in iTunes? Album art won't show up and the song was played several times in the past. Is there an answer for this or will it never be resolved? Is this the fault of iTunes or the songs or the user?
iTunes 8 has gotten really fussy about the MP3 tags. Even if they played in previous versions, they might not play in itunes 8. But they might play in other jukebox porgrams like WMP or WinAmp.
See if your ID3 tags are correct using MP3 Validator.

I recently got the iPhone 5s and I transferred all of my music, pictures, etc. over from my iPhone 5. My music was playing fine the day I got it (2 days ago) and now my music skips, stops in the middle of the songs, or just stops playing and exits. It was just working and now it wont. What is wrong? What can I do?
Not sure if this will help but a reset is the first thing to try. To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

My Ipod nano just stopped playing songs and when I connect it to the computer it is not recognised in I tunes. I have done the trouble shooting steps but with no luck. What do I do next??

I am having the same problem with my iPhone ever since I have upgraded to the 1.1.1 firmware. I have had the following problems.
-Music stops playing when surfing the web.
-After listening to music and exiting iPod mode. The play icon in the status bar still appears. To fix this I initiate iPod mode,play,then pause the song and exit ipod mode.
-Bluetooth icon apears in status bar randomly. I just go into settings and turn the bluetooth off. I think this happens when I go in and out of air plane mode.
-Screen freezes. I just wait and it usually unfreezes or I have to reset the device.
I have 3-4 gigs of free space.
and have tried reseting the phone to fix the problems.

I recently purchased the new iTouch 4G. I haven't had it for no more than 3 weeks. About a week ago, I was listening to some music and it just stopped playing. It has done the same thing a couple more times. The iTouch has also randomly reset it's self. I tried restoring it and it has done the same things it's been doing. Do you guys think it's a defected iPod Touch? What do you suggest I do?
Tough problem. It can be an app causing those issues. Even a restore wouldnt fix a bad app from harm.
Because that problem is hard to reproduce(its random) what I would do, is delete a few apps at a time, and continue like everything is fine.
You have an entire year it is a defective touch. So within that time, just try to find out if its an app. -

i fixed it YEAH!!! lol i uninstalled itunes and installed an older version of itunes. for some reason it wouldn't work with the new version.

Music applications stop playing when my phone locks
I was forced to update my phone from the 5.0 software to the 7 iOS software because most of my applications would no longer take updates. Now when I play my music applications every time my phone locks my music apps stop playing. I have researched this and it appears there is no way around it. The only thing that helps (not much) is extending the lock screen time to 5 minutes. Most of my phone use (other than text and talk) is streaming music and now it is a total pain due to this limiting feature. Did they do this to try to force customers to pay for music on I-Tunes? Does Apple have plans to fix this or should I start shopping for a different brand smart phone?
I have also noticed that my battery life is way shorter with the new update. I can't even make it through a full day now. Is there any way to reverse the upgrade and go back to 5.0 or am I stuck with the new software. Frustrating...Pete Nershi wrote:

There is no Apple in this user to user forum.
Not sure why people keep talking about changing to a different brand, - we users don't care if you stay or go away from Apple.
My music plays just fine when I use the built in music app.
If you're using a 3rd party app - then talk to the app developer or look at their support site. -
ITunes will suddenly stop playing,
ITunes will suddenly stop playing, like it has been muted. I have the latest version 10.6.1 (7) and am using a 17in macbook pro with Lion. Right now it is playing with no sound. Any ideas?
Same problem both on my pc and iPad. This issue has been going on for years. Does iTunes every fix these things (just downloaded lastest update, no change), or respond to these strings? What a worthless xxxxx.

Can't see ipod videos from 60GB ipod classic. I have Apple USB/video cable running through Onkyo receiver into Samsung TV. Video & TV out settings seem correct-I can see album cover, but no video. Is it possible to get itunes music videos to play or do I need to get new ipod. It works on my iPad and iPhone, but not through iPod Classic.
Are these music videos located under Videos on your iPod? Do it play other regular movies (if you have any on the device)?
