ITunes music store is not available in your region

I live in Jersey, Channel Islands and I am trying to create a music store account.
However, I am getting an error message after I submit my details: "The iTunes Music Store is not available in your region"
My ID shows the country as UK.
Can anyone help?

Sorry, but there is no iTunes Music Store for the Channel Islands. Though the Channel Islands are nominally under the auspices of the UK, legally they're separate entities, so the UK licenses for the iTunes Music Store don't apply and the record companies will prevent Apple from allowing you to purchase. Unless you have a legal residence in the UK (or some other country) and have a credit card with a billing address in that country, then you're out of luck, at least for now.

  • Itunes music store still not available in AUSTRALIA

I was so excited to watch the October 12 video stream and was sitting on the edge of my seat when I saw the ipod video revealed before my eyes, i was so excited I logged on and bought one straight away forgettign why I originally started watchign the video stream. i started watching originally to see if Steve Jobbs would announce music store available in Australia. Act I, Act II, Act III, one more thing and the finale and encore came and went. I was so shocked that after all this time Australia still does not have access to purchase music and now video and TV programs. Would somebody care to comment. I have written 5 letters to Apple and of course there has never been a response from the company. I am sure I am not he only one there must be more voices who would like to comment...

I read sometime back that they were in negotiations with the music labels for an iTunes Music Store in Australia but some labels as you may know are now insisting music downloads be more costly than 99 cents to which Steve Jobs has replied that they are getting greedy.
Apple has been trying to reject a price increase and as they will have to renew existing agreements soon with labels for countries in which there is already an iTunes Music Store that will likely also be an issue in future to be resolved. I don't think there will be an iTunes Music Store launch for Australia till negotiations with music labels are completed.

  • Want to access iTunes music store but not in a 'valid' country

Hi, I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer. I want to be able to buy music and videos for my new iPod and I have registered online. When I go to buy something with my credit card from the iTunes store, apparently you have to have an address for your credit card and a list of country's excluding Australia comes up. The problem is there is only about a dozen countries on the list and mine is not one of them so I can't pay by credit card. What can I do???

I really wish I was informed when I bought my ipod, that Itunes music store is not available in NZ and we don’t know when or IF it is going to be. Am feeling totally ripped off as one of the reasons I bought my ipod on Sunday was so I could download Audio books off itunes for when I am travelling. Now I go online and find out that I cant even download a measly single let alone a audio book.
Was feeling so excited about having my ipod and now just feel ripped off and extremely disappointed with Apple and the Apple salespeople. You are told how great itunes is and how you can download video, songs, books etc (when you are buying your Ipod) then once you have paid you $579+ (just for the ipod, let alone another $300 on accessories and warranty) you find out you can't download anything from itunes. Am pretty disgusted really! I researched my purchase, was going to go for a CREATIVE merely so could access NZ download sites, but was talked out of it by the sales person who showed me itunes and how great it is and I do think the IPOD itself is fantastic but wish I had of bought that CREATIVE so at least then I could have downloaded songs; books etc immediately. Bad Form from Apple, particularly given the amount of money I just spent :(((

  • Itunes music store is not yet available in your country?

I get a message stating "itunes music store is not yet available in your country" whenever I log into the Itunes music store. I'm in the USA and my System Prefs, Date and Time/timezone, and credit card/user info on my itunes account all have my correct location.
Also, when clicking on specific TV show icons, itunes shuts down.
any help with either of these?

  • Subscription not available in your region ??????!!...

    Hello,
I have to admit that I love this one ...
    So:
    - My subscription to US/Canada unlimited has been cancelled due to a bug on our Skype number (previous post helped me to fix it in December). I never asked for any cancellation.
    - I might have been stupid and taken a subscription to US ONLY, but I doubt it. Bottom line: that's what I have now.
    - I could not see it before on the Skype window, but now I do have a "reactivate your US/Canada subscription".
But it doesn't work ... in my region !!
    What is my region ?
I am in France right now, yes. I was in Thailand last week and will be in Montreal in 10 days ... if I use Skype it is because  I AM TRAVELING ALL THE TIME.
So what ? I have to be in Canada to subscribe it ?? (LOL)
Will a proxy trick Skype about "my region" ?
In case you ask, no, I don't care about overlapping my US unlimited subscription by reactivating the US/Canada one.
    Any help is very welcome.
Thanks in advance for your time.
    G-

I have the same problem.  My credit card was comprimised, cancelled and replaced. That is how I pay for my subscription(s).  This happen while I am in Central America and will not be back to the US until April. I got the card changed with buying credit, but when I try to reactivate my subscriptions, I get the "Not Available in your region." message.  Also, contacting Skype is a damned nightmare!  Do you have so many complaints, you hide behind the confusion?

  • TV Shows from iTunes Music Store will not sync with my iPod

I have a video iPod (5th Generation). I just downloaded some videos from the iTunes music store and they will not sync with the iPod. I get the message "...some videos cannot be played on this iPod."
The error log says that the videos are not in a supported video format. How can that be? I purchased these from the music store.

This is actually the iPod nano (3G) forum. You might get better help, faster by posting in the iPod "Video" forum: http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=157

  • Cortana -not available in your region (Canada)

So I just updated my preview to the latest and greatest, and it seems Cortana is not available in my region.
Can't find any articles to indicate that Canada does not have access to Cortana.... tried playing with the regions but I'm assuming its smart enough to use my outlook.com info.
Anyone shed some light on this?
    Thanks,

  • ITunes Music Store will not allow me to connect

I have been trying to connect to the music store since I got my iPod last week. I have been using iTunes for a long time and I have always been able to connect to the store. When I installed the new software that came with my iTunes the store stopped working. I have stopped all anti virus, firewalls, security and anything else that has been recommended in other posts. I opened windows/system32/drivers and that was not the problem. I contacted apple and they gave me troubleshooting problems that didn't work, as I've tried them a million times. I also pinged phobos.apple.com and it says connection timed out 4 times and said information lost. So I don't know what else to do. I have windows xp with sevice pack 2 (which had been ruled out as the problem, I gurantee it), norton security (not the problem, I've disabled it and iTunes is allowed, nor is windows firewall the problem) and I can connect to the internet. The specific error message I am getting is iTunes cannot connect to the music store, network connection has been reset. make sure your network connections are active and try again. I just got a giftcard and I want to use it....any suggestions that aren't already all over every thread in the discussions?
    Thanks a lot!

I would first check your firewall settings, as well as your security software to make sure they are not blocking the Store connection.

  • Itunes music store is not working

Ok.......... I tried to download music from the music store, but this message came up "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The Network connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct andyour network connection is active, then try again."
Th efirewall is not the problem, I checked already.
    Can somebody please help?!

Can someone help me, i dont want to start a new thread as i usre this could be a common problem.
Ok so when i launch the itunes store (windows) i can able to search manually in the field in the top right but i cant click on any of the links in the muic store homepage.
Its quite fustrating as I have to type in manually the name of the song or artist as oppose to browsing in the store.
Has anyone else experienced this? I tried to re install it but that didnt have any effect. PS This has only started happening within the last week or so. What could it be?

    Hi LindaMW,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
I would suggest signing out of your iTunes Store account from within the iTunes software.
    Then sign back in.
The instructions on how to do that are in the article below:

  • Itunes store error not available in your country

today, i attempted to log onto the itunes store and received the following message: "your request could not be completed.  the item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store"
I've never had this problem and have not done anything different to my computer, this is out of the blue...  now, i definately live in the U.S. and seeing that i cant really find anything on the interweb for a fix, i'm looking for help.  I ran my CCleaner and cleared the DNS files.  Also, I'm pretty computer illiterate, so talk sloooow....
oh yea, even tho I did not want to update to the new version of itunes, i did that hoping it would correct the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

This is what Amazon-instant-watch service replied as a error message:
    "We are sorry...
We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."
Apple should see something to learn in this Amazon answer.

  • ITunes Music Store will not load

I had this problem before I installed 6.0.3.5 and still having this problem. I heard of some malware being passed around in chat rooms that affected Apple computers I'm wondering if this has something to do with it. I can open iTunes but just cannot access the store... Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Have you all seen the number of instances of this? Upgrade to latest iTunes and then not be able to start it?
don't be silly, jb11. read the thread again. ranpat86 can launch his itunes.
Upgrade to latest iTunes and then not be able to start it? I have XP & Norton.
is that Norton Internet Security 2005?
are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if the answer to both questions is "yes", try giving the trusty Lorraine M technique a whirl:
    Lorraine M: NIS/itunes problem rectified
if at least one of the answers is "no" start your own thread (use the "Post New Topic" link at the top of the Topics list), and explicitly describe your symptoms. err on the side of too much detail rather than too little.

  • Cortana not available in your region?

What happens if you switch country to US?

My laptop which is running actionpack edition of 10 enterprise is saying I'm unable to use Cortana in my location, despite me being from the UK, with it set to use English (UK)
All of which are supported according to Microsoft.
I doubt I'm ever going to use it but I can find bugger all info on why its not working and its annoying me!
I'm wondering if it's because im using actionpack but then, whats the point of making software available for testing if you're going to lock areas of it out?

  • Portege M400 - Error message: Sorry, but this product is not available in your region.

I get the message above when I click on the link 'Portege M400' registration page under my profile. This is odd bcause I am actually writing this mesage on the PortegeM400!?
What I want is, naturally, to go directly from my registration and to the drivers that are ready for my PC, but it appears that the registration procedure did not workout? How does this work out - do I need to set up a different country to be allowed to move on. (Current country is Denmark)
    Regards Per

    Hi
No reason to be confused! What I want is quite natural - for a programmer. After registering my pc details Thosiba naturally knows what drivers I will be looking for. So what I expect is simply a link to those drivers and notting else. What I get is however a confusing message that - if nothing else - tells me somthiget that vcan not be true... if true I should not be able to input the registration information in the first place.
to summ up I do not want to go through the laubor of figureing out what drivers I need - and actually I do not need to as thosiba has all nessesary the information and so lets move on.
Also found the lik that is missing on this page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/registration_basic.jsp?service=EU ;-)

    Hi stewart,
I assume you can connect to the internet otherwise, through your browser, email client, etc?
    If so, check this post:

If not, investigate your internet connection.
