ITunes Needs Major Update Rewrite NOW

SLOW, BUGGY... often pauses giving no indication of whats happening... no indication of anything happening for MINUTES!
STILL 32 bit APP? This is supposed to be the crown jewel, the central point for all my devices....its a pain to use...shame!!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

hello. im new at this. i was updating my girlfriends iphone on itunes to the newest software update when itunes suddenly crashed in the middle of the update. please help cause now her phone is useless. its locked up and only shows that the phone needs to be plugged into itunes

To use itunes to update your iphone you should first ensure you have the most recent iTunes version. Once this version is downloaded to your computer, you will then need to check to see that all anti-spyware programs are uninstalled from a Windows OS you may be using. If you are using a Windows OS that is likely why the itunes crashed (or missing an itunes update) Windows antispyware will stop the download of the necessary file to do the updates to your apple device.

All I was really wanted to do was delete photos that uploaded from my home computer and took up all the space on my phone! GRRRR I hate this

If you are using the iphone as designed then you should lose very little or nothing.
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly, so all of your contacts should be on your computer and you can sync them back.
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any attempt to update.
You should be transferring all purchases made on your iphone to your computer: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why unless you give us some more info e.g. if you are getting an error message then what does the message say, and what sort of card is it, debit or credit ?
If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts about them being declined.

Itunes crashed while updating.

Itunes crashed while updating. Now Im getting error 6 nonstop. Can this be fixed? So far I have found no answers. No backups of the phone exist according to itunes.

I just downloaded the iTunes 10.6 update and now my iTunes will not open. The icon in my dock will jump a few times, as if the program were opening, but then nothing happens. Any fixes?

I am having exactly the same problem. More specifically, after not loading, it comes up with the following message:
"The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13010)."

Your computer need to update it's operating system to Mountain Lion. It will cost $20 from the App store. Then you can update iTunes and then your phone.
