ITunes new version 7.0.1.8 freezes when burning

Ever since I got the new iTunes 7, I can't burn my playlists to CDs.
When I'm in my playlist, I click Burn Disc on the bottom right.
Then it tells me to insert a blank disc, which I do.
After the disc is in, the display says that it's "Checking Playlist". I watch the load bar and noticed it doesn't reach the end. Near the end, the display goes blank and my iTunes is frozen.
Can someone please help me?

I realized that you just need to wait for iTunes to work through everything.

Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

There certainly is a problem with itunes. I downloaded 9.2 and now it won't open. It won't recognize my iphone, either. I uninstalled it in the order recommended by the site, no joy. Deleted a configuration file, no joy. System Restore, no joy. All other software and hardware on the machine is working fine. I call AppleCare AND a local store, either they are completely clueless (which I doubt), or they have no idea how to fix it. I can't even back up my phone, or use the ipod. And since no one at Apple seems to care enough, I'll have to wait until the clamor is loud enough for them to even admit to a problem before I can use the ipod again.

Which ipod touch do you have?
What version of itunes do you have?
Windows? Mac?

I have just dowloaded iTunes new version 10.4 (on Windows), and I can't paste artwork from Word anymore, only directly from the net (where the size or the quality are not always optimal). Any way around this?

Look out for "japiohelp".
In short:
a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
c) reboot the computer

In other words, the upgrade process did not go altogether well and the device has lost all its contents. When you plug it in, they will be restored from the backup.

I would recommend going through the process of removing and reinstalling iTunes and its supporting software (Apple Mobile Device Support) to ensure that everything is up to date. This process should not effect your music library.

Flashing screen after iTunes new version download

I've had my iPod nano(4GBs) for around 2 months now. I just updated my iTunes to version 7.6.1 and when i connected my iPod to the pc the download/installing continued and finished my iPod screen went to the apple logo and now keeps flashing on and off. I have tried clicking "hold" on and off and pressing the select and menu button but this isn't working. The iPod won't turn on or off - just stays flashing.

Just thought i wud let any1 who has had the same problem as me know that my pc didnt download the new version on itunes properly which is why i had problems...i had to finish installing it properly before putting my ipod back in!

New version of photoshop CC 2014 freezes on my Macbook pro late 2013. GPU related issue?

Since upgrading to newest version through Creative Cloud, Photoshop Freezes at start up:
- when launched from LR5 ("modify photo in CC2014"), photoshop launches, photo is displayed, then I get a message that "an incompatibility with the graphics components was detected and that photoshop temporarily deactivated graphics components" (in french). Then freeze. Impossible to access photoshop/preferences to see the open gl settings as shown in th faqs
- when launched directly, it opens and then freezes a few seconds afterwards
Tried to uninstall and reinstall through CC, unsuccessfully.
Anybody seeing same behavior?
Macbook pro retina 15", late 2013, Iris Pro GPU + Nvidia GT 70M GPU, running 10.9.5, all Apple updates done.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".

Itunes 7.3.1 freezes when burning cds

I just downloaded Itunes 7.3.1. It freezes whenever I try to burn cds. It doesn't even get to the burn screen; I click "burn" and everything jams. When I hit "control ALT delete" and look at the itunes program, it is suddenly taking up a lot of memory (75,000 K).
This happens regardless of whether I hit "burn" in the file menu or on the bottom of the screen. It also happens when I try to back up my library.
Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. I took it the genius bar and called talked to tier 2 phone support. They have standard thing where you uninstall all apple software in a certain order and then reinstall 64bit itunes. That did nothing (tried it 4 times).
I've gotten two clues so far.
One is that at the store if I plug someone else's iphone 4 in then itunes acts the same way. So it is not the phone. Two is tier 2 phone support told me to try syncing it with a fresh user account (an admin one). I did that and itunes was just fine, it did not freeze.
So there appears to be some conflict with the software, music files, whatever that is on my current user account (also an admin account). I ran virus and malware detectors and found nothing. Now I'm going to try putting my music, movies, apps, etc in the new user account and see if the phone will sync then.
I know its not much but thats where I'm at. I hope it helps.

I would copy over the entire thing if you have room. With iTunes 10.4 though, you can download any previous iTunes purchases you have made in the past with your current iTunes account. While in iTunes, look at the left hand side of your screen and select "Purchases" and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Download Previous Purchases". If you have an iPhone, iPod and/or iPad...you can do the same thing from each device. Nice new feature...just remember that those ripped CDs need a back-up!!! Enjoy...

Installed new version, now will not load. When tried to remove says Firefox is running and will not let me remove it. Everything works on laptop but not pc
