ITunes not letting me report a problem

I accidentally bought The Office Season 4 twice, because my internet connection kept coming and going. The first time I clicked "Buy Season" the internet failed trying to process it, which led me to believe that the purchase did not go through. So that means that I was charged $60 for duplicates of the same exact thing.
And now when I go to report it, I choose "I inadvertently purchased this TV Episode", and I have the above paragraph in the comment box. And when I click Submit, it says "You did not complete the form. Please enter your reason." then there's an arrow pointing where "I inadver... TV Episode" is. Well I just don't know what else to do, or where else to go.

That is correct; phone support for the iTunes Store is indeed nonexistent, and has never existed. My guess is that due to cost considerations is probably never will exist; few download stores can justify the expense. The web form is the best route, and can be used multiple times unlike the "report a problem" link from within iTunes.
Presuming you've already tried the "check for available downloads" command, I'd suggest you submit your problem again via the web form. The iTunes Store is probably swamped due to the release of the iPhone 4 and iOS4 so it may take longer than usual to get a response. Make sure, of course, that no spam filters are blocking any email from Apple.

    If you mean that you aren't getting the reset link, then from the page that you posted from :
    Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

    You do not download a higher version on the iPad, maybe that was not what you intended.  iTunes is on the computer, update it there.

    In my experience you will not get any meaningful response (i.e. other than boilerplate) via email.  I called this number for apple last week  - 800-275-2273 - which incidentally I did NOT get from the apple website but from Slate.com - and got right through to someone who helped me with my problem.  I never make any purchases from apple that are not absoultely necessary anymore, for example music I get from amazon.com, whose downloads actually work and who has a respnove tech support dept.

    I go to my account, click purchase history, click report a problem, click report a problem next to the billing item that is the problem and end up at the iTunes general support page. From there I try to find a contact us. I do but it takes me to a series of drop downs that never ends in an actual email message to anyone. Just help articles.
    If you're running a store you need to provide a simple way to query billing and resolve billing issues. This isn't it.

    Thank you Atomic Al. I did eventually get to the email so good on you! But does Apple really think this is a better system? It certainly isn't express. Nor is it easy as I now go through countless screens to "report a problem" with itunes billing. It used to take a couple clicks.

  • Itunes not syncing new songs + other problems. Help please!

    My computer had to be taken to the shop last week and the whole system had to be wiped and recovered. I forgot to tell them there was another file I wanted saved so I lost a lot of my music.
    I managed to download the free version of touchcopy and get my music back on to itunes. The music that I lost comes up with a question mark and wont play on itunes but is in ipod and plays fine. Is there anyway I can get the original files of these songs on to my computer as I cant make playlists or anything with these songs?
    Also in my ipod a few of the playlists have been screwed up and there are about 5-6 versions of 90s music, recently added etc that have nothing in them. Is there anyway to get rid of them?
    My main problem now is that itunes wont sync the new music that Ive just added (it wasnt on the ipod before). When i plug my ipod into my computer itunes tells me "sync is complete" and it also shows up with "do not disconnect" on my computer even though the sync is apparantly complete. How do I sync this music on to my ipod??
    Sorry for that incredibly long winded problem, I really hope someone can help me!!

    Here are things I did:
    Unchecked the playlists, Synced to remove all songs, rechecked them, synced again. NO RESULT
    Added the songs manually by dragging and dropping them into my iphone. NO RESULT
    Eventually, I cracked, and went for a restore, which luckily did the trick.
    No solution was found however, and I would love to know if anyone has encountered this issue as I'm sure it will happen again.

  • Upgrading to 4.2...iTunes not letting me

    I am trying to upgrade my software to 4.2 from 3.1. In iTunes in the Version area it says a newer version software is available (version 4.2). To Update just click update. When I do this I get the message "This version of iTunes (9.2.1) is the current version" and it won't let me go further. It seems like the update button is linking to updating iTunes (which I don't need) and not the iPhone software?

    I really don't see why Apple has to draw the line in the sand like this. Our machines are old so we can't upgrade to 10.5.8. We have been purchasing Macs since day 1 and will buy new when the economy improves. But it seems silly that they have to make this separation. At any rate, our old machines are still working perfectly, even though we use them for relatively high demand CAD drafting.
    If someone would tell me that we could upgrade to Leopard with these machines, I would do it.

    I just got a 30 GB iPod for Christmas and installed everything on my old computer at home (5 years old but has Windows XP) and everything worked fine. I am now trying to download and install iTunes on my less than 6 month old laptop and am having no luck. With the iTunes setup it gets to Quicktime and then says something is wrong and it can't go any further. I have tried to download Quicktime separately and I get a "2803" error, then a "2350" error.     Have you tried this:
    remove itunes
    remove quicktime
    remove iPod for windows
    remove apple software updater
    delete iTunes folder from C:\Program Files
    delete quicktime folder form C:\program files
    delete ipod folder from C:\Program files
    delete apple software updater folder form C:\program files
    delete quicktime and quicktimeVR from C:\windows\system 32
    delete documents and settings\<user name>\application data\apple computer\
    delete documents and settings\all users\application data\ apple computer\
    run a search for "quicktime" deleted all files bearing that name.
    ran installer clean up (you can get that from (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301)
    delete c:\documents and settings\<user name>\local settings\temp
    clear temp internet folder
    clear C:\windows\temp (Note: Don't delete the folder itself just everything in it)
    restart computer
    run QuicktimeInstaller.exe from desktop
    verify that quicktime is opening
    quicktime opens?
    If so:
    install iTunesSetup.exe from desktop
    Verify that iTunes opens?
    If you get a corrupt .cab file then the above should fix it. If it still won't open I'd suggest doing an MSCONFIG and then repeating the steps. MSCONFIG can be found here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538
