ITunes not opening with message that it can't find or create iTunes folder

Out of the blue,since downloading latest version of iTunes to Windows XP, it now says it can't find or create the iTnes folder in My Music. The files were there. Backed up songs to external drive and uninstalled iTunes and then re-downloaded software. Same error.Repeated this several times and have lost the will too live.
Has anyone experienced the sameand what was the solve?

But you should be able to work around the issue by starting iTunes with the shift key held down and either choosing or creating iTunes Library.itl in My Music\iTunes

What if you take this same topic of an external hard drive with music but instead of directly attached to the computer the music is on a Network Attached hard drive(NAS)? Will I be able to add music to my ipod without any problem? Step that up a notch, will the two computers on my network be able to recognize the music on the NAS? Will the two users be able to create their own playlists and update their ipods independently? Now step up that up one more notch, will I be able to do this with one PC running XP and my macbook with OS X?
Before I run out and buy a NAS I want to be certain. I also would like to convert my DVD library in the future and put it on the network available to an AppleTV or other UpNp media player in the future, because I love having power at my finger tips.

I've tried everything i can find online to repair this issue, but itunes wont open still. I saw a message for this exact message in 2006 about moving itune lib to desktop and then back into itunes folder, but that hasn't worked. Please help.

Might fix your problem:
Through Finder navigate to your users directory
Select the folder "Music"
Press CMD-i
An info windows will pop up
Scroll down to the very bottom
If necessary expand "Sharing & Permissions"
Is your username listed with Privilege "Read & Write"?
Tick the little lock at bottom right - enter your PW
If necessary correct your privileges
In any case press the little gearwheel - "Apply to enclosed items ..."

I frequently get the message that "safari can't find the server" or "you ate not connected to internet" when I definitely am.

According to Roaring Apps, there is a version of Protools compatible with Lion. But you may need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to buy either Lion or ML on MAS. It looks like you need to get up-to-date with your OS and the apps too.

Mail not opening pdf's that iPhone can

I have had two emails with pdf attachments that say "empty". I went to my iPhone and they open with no problem. Any ideas?

I have not yet encountered problem with pdf in mail 5.0. My business is sourcing services for Apparel and I get almost every mail with a pdf from US clients.
The 'not yet downloaded' maybe issue with the mail service provider. Are you using IMAP? that is sometimes slower to download attachemtns. There is no separate control to download, it does it automatically.
Yes, I have had problems with pdf attachments from some banks and the work around is file>save attachements.
If you have access via web to your account, you could check there to see the attachment is correct there, then it could be something between the service provider and Mail 5.0.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Can not open my yahoo mail. Can't find on server but can open in all other browsers

Yahoo mail will not open in Firefox new 4.0 or older versions.
However, I can open in Safari and IE7.
Have talked to several folks that are having the same problem and most are just switching to other browsers and the problem goes away. I would prefer to solve the problem rather than just giving up and switching permanently to another browser. Different computers and I have the same problem. Copying the mail address from IE7 to firefox and it still can not find the mail account. Does find other web addresses just fine. It is something to do with yahoo mail.

I constantly get error messages that Firefox can't find a particular site.

I have cleared the cache and cookies, as well as checked the other settings recommended in the Help section. The problem still persists. It's pretty ridiculous when you can't connect to Yahoo! or YouTube.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Just got itunes installed on my laptop. Did it all correctly (admin rights, etc.). It ran fine yesterday, now today I try to open it and get a message: Instruction at "0x00008200" referenced memory at 0x00008200. The memeory could not be "read"
OK, I admit I'm not a wiz at computers, but this is too cryptic for me, any help out there???

ITunes not opening with windows 7

iTunes has stopped working on my sony laptop. I have uninstaed all aspects and reloaded. When you click the shortcut or from main menu nothing happens.
Whe you look at properties iTunes is now not compatiable !!!what is going on !
Please please help

Thanks again. That's got a few things ruled out.
I'd like to check to see if the problem is systemwide, or if it is limited to a single Windows user account. (This is not a cure in itself, but may help narrow in on possible culprits.)
Create a new Windows User account on the PC with full administrative rights. Log out of your normal account and log into the new account. (Don't use Fast User Switching to move between accounts.)
Try launching Safari in the new user account. Does it launch properly in there, or do you get the same sort of behaviour as in the normal user account?
