Itunes not recognising phone and apps saying 'waiting'?
I recently got a replacement iphone from apple after my old one wouldn't charge. I connected it to itunes and restored it from back up of my old phone. Then noticed that all apps on phone were saying 'waiting'. In the meantime I installed new version of itunes and made sure all the apps were updated on itunes. Tried to sync again, but now itunes not recognising the phone? The computer recognises it but nothing comes up on itunes.
I used the trouble shoot and updated the phone software, made sure phone was charged, switched off and on, used a different port etc. Really want to avoid reinstalling itunes if I can help it!
I have solved this myself by asking itunes to run a diagnostic on device connections. It told me to go to close itunes on my computer and disconnect the device. Then click 'start', 'control panel', 'administrative tools' (i just searched 'administrative tools' in the start search field.
Then click 'services' and 'apple mobile devices'. This programme was not running at all so I clicked 'start service' on the left and now itunes is recognising my phone again and it is currently syncing, so hopefully that has solved the problem!

Whether you can redownload music depends upon what country that you in. If you are using your computer's iTunes then does music show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (on your phone you might be able to redownload media via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app) ? If music shows there, but not that album, then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
If you aren't in a country when you can redownload music and it's still on your phone then you should be able to copy it over from the phone via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. -
I got my 4s phone on christmas with apps already on it( from my dad ) and i was able to get a few apps(2 or 3) on it but the next day I got an app and it said waiting. Ignoring it, I simply went on with life but then a couple hours later it still said waiting. Then i waited about another hr, then two, then a day, then two days, now its been "waiting" for five days. I even downloaded it on iTunes on my iMac then hooked it up and still did nothing. (I also added a couple apps with that one from iTunes and they dont even come up.) I really want my apps and dont want to call Aple or AT&T. Help Please...

ITunes not recognising iPods and I can't find my purchases

I recently wiped the hard disk and decided to a clean install of everything, in spite of having a Time Machine backup (Time Machine was deleting older backups to make room on 1 terabyte drive, the hard disk on my computer showed only 650 G used.
I'm not doing badly, though much may yet come to light. However, iTunes has no memory for things past i.e. purchases, playlists and very importantly 2 iPod Touches and an iPod Classic which are said to be paired with another computer.
I assume there are files I need to find and restore, but I don't know where to find them. Library won't selectively restore and shows some 50 G which I haven't been able to restore either, in my attempt to resolve the problem.
Advice please, I am stuck.........

Itunes not recognising iPod and cds
When i insert a CD or plug in my iPod to my Mac it does not register in itunes, therefore i am unable to sync anything

I updated to ios7 on my iphone 4 and now cant install apps and one app says waiting for 2 days now. Also it started ading apps from my wife's phone onto my phone even though we have separate apple ids.
We do not share an apple ID and her phone is now logged in with her account and I have since backed it up on itunes under her account as well. I have turned off automatic downloads on her phone but they still keep downloading. I delete one app and then another one just appears on the phone.

Iphone 4 has been upgraded to ios 6 and also have downloaded 10.4 on my mac. mac does not recognise iphone and tells me i need to upgrade phone through itunes. have done this with both items but does not recognise iphone . HELP

I plugged my phone into my computer for the first time and it restarted my whole phone so now all my apps say waiting put I'm let my phone sync a view different times and it still doesn't work. Has anyone else had this problem?

How to Use Multiple iDevices with One Computer -
iPad App Store app said "20 updates". Attempted to update w/3G. Updated some, but now many apps say "waiting" and are frozen. I attempted to update then by attaching to computer Itunes Store. All it did was very quickly go thru the 4 steps and said, "Synched, OK to uplug." I clicked my ipad and then apps. It also said Update complete (or something like that). Now several apps on iPad are frozen and say "Waiting". Help!!
Oh a few other things I forgot.
The long winded back-ups!!!! JESSSSSSH! Although I think the latest update seems to have bit into this a bit.
Also why is it that sometimes when the iPhone is syncing it will not say on the actual iPhone that it is syncing. I see it's syncing in iTunes but the iPhone doesn't have the typical do not disconnect -syncing message!!! What's odd is I can see the new apps being updated to the iPhone and as long as I don't open any apps it will finish it's sync but the minute I open any apps the iPhone will lock-up!!! -
Getting frustarted with itunes. I had to recently do a hard reboot ny iphone and attempted to sync my phone to get m apps back. When I go to sync my phone and it says,"The iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iphone". When I go to authorize it says it's already authorized. Help!!!!
I first called apple and they patched me to a technician who ran a test and determined that I had a virus. He gave me some price quotes and who to call. After my conversation with him, which I knew was BS btw, I immediatley called Geek Squad with whom my computer has a warranty through after they installed virus software on my new laptop (4 months old). I had a VERY long online session where they ran several virus test and found nothing. Although I was VERY happy that my computer didn't have a virus, I still had the problem of my itunes not working. After several hours, he made sure that all of my apps were down loaded, and then restored my iphone to factory settings, and sync my device. It worked perfectly and all and I mean ALL 240 apps were downloaded back onto my iphone along with my music and all of my tones. When asked why my itunes was acting in that manner the answer that I got was,"...apparently you had a correct file some where in itunes and everything had to be reset". Regardless, everything is back to normal and I don't have to get a new phone or delete itunes from my computer. Hope this helps!

Are you downloading music?
Check by going to iTunes (on iDevice) > downloads and then remove the one that is trying to download, this will then make the others download and when they are finished, the apps will update/install -

In this order try ....
1. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
2. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
3. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes and App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
4. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
5. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again. -

It is referring to under devices in the iTunes source list, not on your desktop.

i have 2 accounts, my USA account and MEXICAN account, i coulnd't access from my phone the USA itunes store ... so i did some steps that i read on others replies but it didn't work, so i log out my app store and then log in with my mexican account, then went to the itunes store app and it works totally fine with my mexican account, it show up everything so i had the opportunity to log out and close everything again, went to de apps store and log in with the usa account (the one that i use more) and then went to the itunes app and it works!! im so happy i did it heheheh ok, maybe im too excited but yeah ... i feel relief ... i was worry about that ... so hopefully this maybe useful for someone out there
(and hopefully someone could understand my horrible english )
1.- log out on app store (or either way Itunes ... the app that actually works as always)
2.- log in with your other account on app store (i have USA and MEXICAN..USA was not working so i log in the MEXICAN acc)
3.- go to itunes app and log out
4.- close everything
5.- log in on app store with the account that you are interested in ... (in my case USA)
6.- went back to itunes y voala!!
