Itunes not responding half way through sync

Tried to sync my Ipad 3 with the latest version of itunes. Not had problems previously. Tried to start in safe mode, no improvement. Always crashes at the same point in the sync, step 4 of 6.
Can get itunes to open and can navigate and add music etc but when try to sync falls over at the same point.

extra info, the sync started there for about 10 seconds and then stopped and has managed to delete my books... please help!!! was one chapter from the end of a book and now its gone!!!!

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. Hello, I couldn't wait for Apple so I have just followed konami84's solution, basically dump everything Apple and start again. I did leave icloud alone though.
I re-installed v11.1.4.62 and it appears to be working so far. I was bemused to see that many of my discs only contained the first track but they slowly reappeared, there are 600 to check so I shall leave it for now.
I also noted that the 'radio' button is not present, my theory is that this has been rapidly removed because it doesn't work, not on Windows 7 anyway. radio was there yesterday when I had all the heartache and trouble.
Just need to fix the airport express not being recognised, although it was for a short while then the icon turned orange.

TRy to close itunes by double tapping the home button then slide up all of the open apps and try again.
another option is to turn off your ipad, logout from your itunes account and try again downloading the movie. If it still gives you error, call apple support and ask for itunes agent to see if there is something wrong with the movie you are trying to download

I've purchased a lot of music through itunes, and as I've been playing it, I've noticed that several of the songs stop half way through and just play silence for the last minute or two. This is very frustrating as I have spent hundreds of dollars buying music through iTunes. This occurs on all of my devices, iPhone 4, MacBook and iPad 2.

I'm having this exact problem now with an iPhone 4 (not the 4S) and running software 6.1.3 with iTunes version 11.0.4.4. - The songs play fine in iTunes. In some instances I brought in the songs from CDs, in other instances I purchased from the iTunes store meaning I can't simply convert them. In either way they play silence on my iPhone around halfway through and for the remainder of the track.
I have attempted a full restore from a backup, and then reloaded all of my music, same songs, same problem. I don't feel a manual restore would help because that means reprogramming every single app, and the music would be reloaded the same way so what difference could that make?
Just to add insult to injury my protection plan ran out about 2 weeks ago and my phone otherwise works fine, so this can't possibly be worth purchasing another pricey plan just to be allowed to TALK to Apple.

ITunes "not responding" after trying to sync anything to my iPod Photo

I have tried not using my dock, switching between USB and firewire, and verified that iTunes is not sucking up strange amounts of CPU time or memory. It just becomes non-responsive and the only solution is to force quit the application. iTunes functions "normally" if I put syncing to manual and DON'T TRY TO SYNC. As soon as I do it goes unresponsive again. I already wiped out my iPod thinking the problem was with my iPod and now my iPod is empty with no way for me to download my library back onto it. This problem occurred the first time I tried to use iTunes at all after 7.0.2.

I was having problems with synching when iTunes would check for new episodes for my podcast subscriptions (which I had set to check every hour) immediately after I downloaded version 7.0.2. I tried everything, even going back to version 7.0.1 but to no avail. Each time I'd open iTunes I'd have to quickly go to the preferences and change it to "manual" before it would start checking for updates on the podcasts. If I didn't get there fast enough, I'd force quit and open it again. I finally saved all my podcasts from my iTunes Music Library in a folder on my desktop then went back and deleted them all and resubscribed. I reset the preferences to "check every hour" and it solved the problem. So, I'm assuming that there was some problem with one or more of the podcasts and deleting and resubscribing reset whatever it was which fixed the problem. Not sure if this will work for you but hope it does.

ITunes resuming songs half way through

It seems that when I skip a song after listening to half of it, the next time it comes on iTunes will resume it at the position I skipped it at. It's not with every song, however is quite annoying. I have heard there is a setting for this but have been unable to locate it, any help would be great. Thankyou.

It's on the right-click > Get Info > Options tab, remember playback position.

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

Itunes 'Not Responding' When trying to sync iPhone?

I am running windows xp
I plug my iPhone in to sync my music and it freezes.
I can put songs under 45 seconds on, anything after that it freezes
(That is by dragging them individually on)
I have restored my iPhone
Re-installed iTunes many times.
Restarted computer
Deleted podcasts from iPhone
I really dont know what else i can do.
Anyone?

Songs recently purchased on iTunes are skipping to next song half way through?

I recently purchased two albums on iTunes and noticed half way through the songs it skips to the next song and then continues to do so with all of the recently purchased songs. I uploaded them to my itouch and it does it there too. Help?

Had this problem, too, with Mountain Lion. I've subscribed to iTunes Match, though, so the fix is a little quicker in my case: Delete the track that displays the unwanted skipping behavior, then click on the cloud icon in the iCloud Download column to download a new copy from iCloud. (You may have to go to View-->View Options… to show the iCloud Download column in the iTunes window.)

Ipod will not sync to itunes, just stops half way and freezes the computer

my ipod has suddenly stopped syncing to itunes half way through and freezes the computer. it is not the songs because they sync to my phone. how can i fix this?

Have you tried plugging the Nano into another available USB port or using another USB sync cable? Does it seem to be freeze when syncing the same track?
I assume iTunes is up to date (10.7 at the time of this writing).

- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes
