The issue seems similar to that in the first box though it would be nice to have the complete error message. Tearing out all iTunes components and reinstalling as given in the second box should resolve.

  • The procedure entry point dispatch_get_specific could not be located in the dynamic link library libdispatch.dll   Error 7 Windows error 127

Alright so before the latest update I was already having issues with itunes. If I were to download a new song from the store, and plug in my ipod to my laptop, the new song wouldn't download onto my laptop. I eventually had to completely take off all the music on my ipod and put it back on for it to download that one song, and sometimes that wasn't even successful.
Now, it's even worse. I can't even open itunes after the latest update. This is beyond ridiculous and I see that others are having this issue too. I keep getting these errors and I cannot fix them. I try uninstalling and reinstalling. I've looked at practically all of the discussion topics but nothing has worked for me. The only thing that did work was switching over to the itunes 10.7 version, however my ipod needs at least 11.0 to work, which is stupid. So I tried going back to that, but then everytime I try to open itunes, it freezes automatically and I can't do anything.
So now I'm back to the most recent update and I can't even open my itunes! Updates are supposed to fix problems, not cause more! I've spent so much money with this company and I feel like nothing is being done to help the people who are having these issues...
Does anyone have any advice on what to do? I've literally tried everything in the discussion topics.
    Thanks,
    ~ArcticNova~

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. CoreMedia.dll is part of Apple Application Support.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

  • HT203175 Why won't iTunes install properly? It gives the start up error "The procedure entry point JSStringGetUTF8String could not be located in the dynamic link library WebKit.dll"

I can't get iTunes to install/start on my HP laptop. When I start/install the current version, I get the following error "The procedure entry point "JSStringGetUTF8String could not be located in the dynamic link library WebKit.dll". Why isn't this dll included in the distribution? What do I do to get iTunes to install on my 64-bit AMD HP laptop.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
    Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

I've not seen this message before, but it has the same pattern as those discussed in the first and third boxes, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find iTunes.dll in the iTunes folder in Program Files or Program Files (x86). Delete it and then repair iTunes from the control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

  • 11.2 iTunes update has made me unable to open iTunes. It says "The procedure entry point ADiAdID_AquireMatchSlotIfNecessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll" I have done everything imaginable! Please help?!

I deleted, reinstalled, searched, enabled, disabled--EVERYTHING and yet iTunes will not open! This is exactly why I hate updates rom Apple because they do this time and time again. I deleted multiple .dll files and nothing has worked. This is a glitch from the newest update 11.2. It says: "The procedure entry point ADiAdID_AquireMatchSlotIfNecessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll" and I have no idea what the heck that means!
If there is anybody that is having similar issues and know of what the issue might be, please help =[
    Thanks.

Hi, Did you strip out all components, delete the named folders and reboot as in the second box of  Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates?
Checking on my computer here (Windows XP SP3 32 bit) I have one copy of iAdCore.dll in the main \Program Files\iTunes folder with the following properties:
    Size 3,004  KB
    Created 8th May 2014
    Modified 8th May 2014
    File Version 1.0.0.1
    Product Version 1.0.0.1
I'll try to get a look at 64-bit system later to confirm the correct path.

  • My problem is on my Windows PC.  I am getting the error message, "The procedure entry point sqlite_3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.  I am told this is related to iTunes.  Any help?

I use both a Mac and a PC.  My problem is on my Windows 7 PC.  I am getting the error message, "The procedure entry point sqlite_3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.  I am told this is related to iTunes.  Any help out there?  Thanks

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck
