I need help, every time i play videos there's an error message sayings itunes not working properly even though i already updated it to newest versions?

well, it is easy. i just wish it to sync in a manner that i do not get frustrated with it. it just does not like to sync when i open up itunes on desktop to update apps when they have updates. i have got to revert to plugging in the phone and ipad for it to sync and update apps. if you read through the whole thing you would have found it out. all i am saying is that itunes 10.6.1 and ios 5.1 have bugs and issues that make it hard for a iphone and ipad user to sync and update apps. itunes is slow to open with windows 7 as well as i did not mention that before but i have mentioned it in my other forum posts.

For weeks and weeks now on my Computer iTunes will not see or recognize my iPhone 4S and my iPad 3. When I try to sync by opening iTunes on desktop and then wake up pho ad iPad it does not see it and will not show them in iTunes no matter what I do. I have reset network, forget network, renew lease on wifi network and shut down both and turned back on and nothing has worked!!! I have reported this many times as well in the past. It is like Apple themselves have changed the way iTunes suyncs with the phone and ipad when trying to sync to make updates on apps.I am at wits end!!! Since they did the update to 10.6.1 it has been a pain in the you know what to sync to update apps.I got to plug both in to computer for them to sync and update apps or update apps from the iphoor ipad itself. Please Apple or someone who knows what needs to be fixed please fix it it is very aggrevating it has been weeks like this and I would have thoughht that Apple would have gotten the hint when I have seen others complain about this as well. It is from what I see most of the time it is with Windows 7 computers that have this syncing connectivity issue but I do see it happen in Wndows Vista as well as I have both operating systems here with 2 iphones, 1 iphone 4s logged in to windows vista when updating apps and the other which is windows 7 and it has ipad 3 and iphone 4s attached to it to sync when updates to apps become available. As well, itunes will not add .mp4 files, it tells me that it iis processing the files, but it never adds them. The files also work. I am using the latest version of iTunes. i have noidea what to do.i also have to add that when i say that i can play the file on my ipod, i mean that i have connected my ipod to my laptop, and have gone into teh system files (on the ipod), found the file, and watched it on my laptop

Manualy renaming tracks in itunes not working properly?
this being my 5th or 6th ipod since ive started collecting them several years ago, i shouldnt even have this question
i manually manage all of my songs/play lists through itunes to begin with
when i rename the artist, album or genre i have no problems,
but when i try and rename the NAME of the track is almost seems that itunes clicks me out of the window making it almost impossible for me to rename a song.
i just updated to itunes 7.4.3, which i thought would solve the problem, and also restored my ipod once, which also has the most upto date software on it.
i just had a 5generation 80 gig ipod about a month ago which i sold to buy the new thinner classic... i had NO problems ever with that one... but this new classic ipod made me install a new version of itunes which has done NOTHING BUT GIVE ME PROBLEMS.
anyone have the same problem?Yes! I've noticed the same thing in the most recent release or two of iTunes. Occasionally I like to change the track name from the main iTunes screen by using the <F2> key to go into "text edit" mode while the track is selected. This always worked fine before. But now, if I try to use the arrow keys or the delete key to move through or edit the selected text (track title), it seems to "save" the change (or not?) and immediately kick me out of "edit mode".
There's something funny going on. Sure wish it would go back to the way it was before. Editing track names from the main screen is no longer really viable.

ITunes not working properly after Firefox upgrade. What is corrective measure?
iTunes "store" indicates error #42403. It does not load. However, radio does work. This seemed to happen after I upgraded Firefox.
Here's an update:
1. The fan problem had to do with WindowsXP (new installation and/or drivers). The fan would simply not obey the Battery Optimized Cooling Method, and would work at full throttle all the time. Since i could not pinpoint the problem, i decided to use Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation to create an exact copy of my old configuration and HD contents, re-installed that, and that resolved the fan problem.
2. Concerning the new 80GB 5400rpm 16mb hard disk, well, it is very noisy compared to the original Fujitsu HD the laptop had. I decided to return it next day, and got a Hitachi Travelstar 80GN instead (80GB 4200 rpm 8mb) which is very quiet, just like the Fujitsu 40GB one.

I have recently perchased a HP laptop with windows 8, I am not overly impressed with the design but what really upsets me is that my itunes is not picking up my iphone or ipad when opening Itunes on the laptop. On the off chance that it does, it just connects and reconects but does not go sny further.

After running windows update, you may need to remove and reinstall iTunes to make sure everything is in the right place.

Help Viewer in Finder and iTunes not working properly
When I click on any of the links in the Finder help viewer, nothing happens; if I type something in the search box, a list of topics display but if I click the show button for any of them, nothing happens. Same in iTunes. Looks like my help is screwed up with Apple apps. Any suggestions?

There are located here:
/Home/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate those files and drag them to the Trash. Empty the Trash and reboot. This fix should also correct your iTunes Help Viewer also. If this doesn't do the job, post back and we'll dig deeper!

'm having a problem with downloading and installing the new version of itunes for windows (11.1.4) I have done everything the troubleshooting article has said and it is still not working properly. I have even done a repair to see if that works and it has not. Has anyone else found a new way to get it working?

And Google chrome just keep loading the page for hours and nothing is appear on its browser. But safari and firefox working absolutly fine.

Best Regards,You need to upgrade your copy of MS Office. You're using a version that is 8 years old (at least). You can buy Office 2011, which will work. You could also get a copy of Pages from the App Store, which is cheaper and will open Word files (though not perfectly). Or you could get a free Office clone, like OpenOffice or LibreOffice.

ITunes 10.6.3 home sharing not working properly
iTunes 10.6.3 home sharing not working properly. I can access with my three ATV2's watch a movie later that same day it tries to access and ATV2 just keeps trying and never gets through to the library. If I restart iTunes its fine then later can't access. I am running iTunes 10.6.3 on a i7 Mac Mini with 10.7.4. Sole job is to be iTunes server and an occasional HTPC with remote buddy running. I disabled remote buddy ajax remote feature, and file sharing is on so I can load new tracks form other macs Thats it, a vanilla install with all updates.. No problem prior but not sure if problem free period was with 10.6 earler versions or 10.5 versions. I update as warnings to do so come up. The remote app has same problem accessing the Home Share. I disabled home sharing on my iPhone and set to access the old method with 4 digit code and sees all the time and will play to my express base stations so seems to be home sharing issue because iPhone apps with home sharing on and ATV2s have issue accessing.
I'm never home but when I am I use this equipment loads and this weekend not reliable at all. I have firewall disabled, and setup is as before and is working fine. I am using Mini by ethernet and using AEBS 1st generation gigabit as router only wired to cable modem and whole house ethernet attached, latest version AEBS gigabit as a wireless bridge and 2 prior version 11n expresses and a 11g express, all expresses are set to wireless off and are connected to ethernet and then to a stereo in 3 different rooms.
I can't be only one. Considering downgrading to last version of 10.5 but not sure how to do this.
How many of you are having trouble?

How to downgrade safely? Or is it 10.7.4?I ran into the specific problem in another thread. There are more than 100 connections from the apple TV's to iTunes. You can do a netstat -a (windows or Mac), and verify the problem. iTunes is smart enough to stop allowing more than 100 connections but stupid to allow the ATV to create so many connections.
Now for what you really want! Set all of your ATVs to wifi only. Even setting the iTunes host to wifi might help also. I think that wifi is more unreliable, and forces connections to drop, keeping the count under 100.
I also turned off ip v6. That could help you also. I originally had problems on a Mac mini, and built a windows 7 box to try to fix the problem. The wifi trick worked on both platforms. Several of us have bug reports into apple. I have a wired house also, and am very angry to NEED to use slow wifi to overcome this problem. The ATV gen 3 has been able to keep up with 1080p over wifi, so it doesn't hurt too much. What really hurts is spending over 40 hours troubleshooting this bug. -
since the last update to iTunes 11.0.3 (42) the airplay connection is not working properly , keeping breaking up, while the airplay works fine with my iPad and iPhone. Anyone has experienced the same? any fix available?

Ensure that other devices are not trying to stream to the same Apple TV at the same time.
Turn off Bluetooth on your iOS device by tapping Settings > General > Bluetooth.
Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is set up with the recommended settings for the best performance.
Certain external devices, such as microwave ovens and baby monitors, may interfere with a Wi-Fi network. Try moving or disabling these devices.
If possible, try to locate your Wi-Fi router in the same room as your Apple TV and iPhone/iPad.
If your wireless and wired networks are the same, try connecting your Apple TV to the router via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
If the Wi-Fi router has an external antenna, check to see that is it connected properly and in good condition.

My iPhone 3gs is not working properly and hasn't been since about September of last year. When switched on (Quite often it won't even turn on) it says 'Update Completed' as though it has just been updated. On the next screen it says to 'Connect to iTunes'. It doesn't, however, connect to iTunes and just resets itself over and over until power is gone. Occasionally after switching on and off a few times it functions normally for a few hours and some times even a couple of days but eventually always turns itself off and goes back to the 'Update Completed' screen. Does anyone know what might be causing this and/or a way of fixing it?

ITunes / iPhone not working properly after newest update...
iTunes is not working properly after the newest update... It dosen't see my iPhone, the program acts very sluggish, and has trouble loading the Store. Anyone have a solution or an explanation? I have tried the suggestions found in other threads ie. restart, re-download, charge phone, restart phone and so on. Nothing works. Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I'm not real crazy about IPHOTO 08. Some of the printing choices are left out in iphoto 08. Is there a way of putting IPHOTO 06 into my computer with the Leopard OS. Can I just take out 08 and put in 06? Thanks
